I am a turnaround coordinator at the airport and can tell you there are quite some things not up to par in this ground handling procedure. Never should an airplane be approached while it is still moving as seen here. These guys are asking to be sucked into an engine. Never should a fuel truck approach the aircraft in reverse, especially not without anyone guiding the driver!. And most certainly not in combination with unloading luggage and deboarding passengers! Never should an airplane be approached while it is still moving as seen here. These guys are asking to be sucked into an engine Also the beltloaders should have both sidebars up at all times so no bags can fall from the sides potentially injuring workers. The beltloader should also never be placed by a single person as one needs to keep an eye to make sure the loader does not touch the plane! As for the "throwing" of bags... This is of course normal. Imagine you have to unload 200 bags carefully placing them like porcelain. If you are carrying something valuable, take it with you in hand luggage... The way they "throw" the bags doesnt do damage as they dont drop in height as you can see. But I can agree with Serpent here, If my team would handle a turnaround like this we'd be fired on the spot.
Very different procedures here. At my workplace we only enter when the anti collision light is off (can't see exactly here), then the chocks, then we follow around the coordinator with cones, then the stairs (in this case it was the air bridge and they operate independently from us, so no problem there) and the gpu/stairs (some airlines want stairs first while others the gpu). No marshalling for the belt loaders whatsoever. Overall if something like this happened at my workplace, we would've gotten our asses handed to us..
@@joey68ifywell, they vary from airline to airline. For example, I am a turnaround coordinator at LIME airport, which serves Ryanair in particular , and I can say to you that their SOP for GH is very very different from this video of KLM’ones… but thank you indeed!

Different procedures for every airport i quess.
same here, what airport/ground handling company?
True, this is complete disregard of any safety rules. I'd get my ass kicked out on the spot! It's pretty mindblowing tbh
Welcome to schiphol where we dont care about that
