Back in the 80s, I used to live in Germany. My stove, like all in Germany I believe, had a 3 phase supply. I presume that's the reason for the complicated 5 core cable and connector? So that the same appliance can be wired single or 3 phase?

Great way of keeping it local and not having to see it. All about minimalism

Remember years ago...plasterer asking...is this being tiled ?... And he was extra careful to leave it as flat as glass.......makes tiling a doddle...now nobody gives a F. 😮😮

You're shorter than James is and have been a Wire Jockey* for a LOT longer than he has so of COURSE you're faster he is...
Besides, you're also his Teacher so if he hasn't been taught the little tips and tricks that increase speed, that's all your fault too...
    😄😁😆😅😂🤣
    * I refuse to call an Electrician a Sparky...that Title, as far as I'm concerned, applies ONLY to Welders! Have you SEEN how many sparks they spit out when Stick/TIG/MIG Welding? or again when grinding their welds down?...Besides, Sparks are the LAST thing an Electrician wants as those are the result of BAD THINGS happening with the Electrical Circuits...
