I like your plan for June. I need to get some of these WIPs finished up for sure. And, like you said, not just Halloween stuff. Love your Peacock, Unicorn, Badger and SO glad your fabric fit!!
Thanks for your transparency! My first year of Maynia and I wasn’t sure the plans I made would happen either. Actually on quite a few of the days especially towards the end of the month I didn’t do what I thought I would! I was just happy I got to stitch when I could. Life happens! it really put the habit of stitching on something in my routine though. Hang in there enjoy those beers and that patio. Love to watch. Blessings & Stay safe.
Love your stitching! I think I need that pattern. It really intimidates me, but it's just so pretty! Hope you get your house issues sorted quickly so you can settle in and enjoy your stitching.
Jen!!! Those bangs are BANGIN’!!! I’m growing mine out but seeing yours is making me regret it 😂. I totally understand you not wanting to stitch seasonal pieces. Time to decorate that house! I’m in the same mode. Hence all the giant Long Dogs.
NO failure young lady! You are trying to get settled into a new abode and that will make you crazy so don't fret. Just work as you feel the need for sanity and your psyche will thank you and your house will too. Hang in there:)
No Maynia failures because you do March Madness!!! Ugh, don’t you love house problems. Hang in there, and good luck with the furniture! Your sampler is gorgeous!!! Happy stitching.
You sent me the conversion right away :) and I’ve ordered and pulled the floss, can’t wait to start it!! I had one block left of twelve on project I wanted to finish yesterday and today. I could not concentrate for my life!! I don’t have loads of starts, I tend to have a big one going and take breaks to do something small here and there but I really wanted to finish that block.... just didn’t happen. I hope you’re a/c is repaired soon! Love the video and your beautiful project!!
Hi! Just a thought about your roof & air conditioning issues. Since you just bought the house, did the sellers disclose these problems? If not, you should be able to have the cost of the repairs covered by them. I would look into it. They joys of home ownership, eh? ♥️ Kim from Canada 🇨🇦
We are figuring all the ins and outs of what was disclosed and what wasn’t. The roof still had a warranty so that’s been taken care of. And the ac was just installed last year - so as long as the latest fix holds it - we’re good on that being covered under warranty too. It’s just been a lot all at once!
I absolutely love the clock piece behind you. I have never seen that pattern before. Could you share the designer with me please and the name of the pattern. Thank you very much
Congrats on the new house. Sorry you are having issues with the roof and your a/c. Hopefully everything will get done soon. Good luck with your June plans. They sound pretty practical. (Did I hear you say you were stitching during a webinar? If you remember I am an early head start teacher and we are killing it in the PD trainings. I hope you and your staff are getting things done. Oh, wait. Is your center a pandemic center? Regardless I wish you well.)
Thanks! It’s been an adventure this pandemic for sure! I work as a coach with several childcare centers running Head Start classrooms. 2 out of the 3 I work with were Pandemic centers and the third just reopened. So far I’m still working from home and seeing what virtual coaching will look like going forward. Lots and lots of PD! Passed my CLASS certification this morning so that’s a huge weight off! Hope you’ve been doing well during this time. Have you been doing virtual classrooms with your kids?
@@quirksandstitches, CONGRATS on your CLASS certification. I know that must have been nervewracking. Which age group are you certified for? Preschool is my guess. I see no mention of EHS classes, so I am guessing that is not a population you coach. Getting CLASS certified in infant is difficult. I am not sure anyone at my center is certified in Infant rooms and that is a bit frustrating to me. Infant rooms are NOT dummied down toddler rooms, but that is how we are treated. lol My main job is to get the parents on board with home learning activities. Some are smashing it! Others are avoiding me. I hope to do a zoom where families actually show up! Our modified reopening is in the middle of July.
I didn't really understand what you meant when you said you didn't have a way to keep threads you don't completely finish. I usually just wind it on the bobbin or put it back on the thread keep. Am I overthinking what you said?

Hope you get your roof taken care of & air conditioning repaired. Glad you now have a cozy stitching spot. Best wishes for June. Patricia
OH, I love your chalk board display too and you look comfy in your stitching/filming space.
It’s getting there! Still need chairs but... the store isn’t open yet!

It was in a CrossSticher magazine and the designer is Felicity Hall. I’m pretty sure it’s May of 2013.
Jen Lee Thank you very much. I’m on the hunt now.

I precut all my dmc and keep them on a project card. Once I pull a length of thread out there really isn’t anywhere to put it unless I use it all.
Would love your conversion for autumn on lazy bear mountain please. I sent you a message. Thank you
There’s no such thing as failure in Maynia! Who cares, right? Just be okay with what you are doing. Ha.
What is clipp d to the list ne behind you?
That’s my WIP wall. Each card has a project. They’re color coded based on size.
