I injured myself back in July and had to have surgery. While I was stuck on the couch recovering I found your channel. I've been enjoying your videos ever since. Thanks for putting out great videos .
Steven, thanks so much (sorry to hear about your surgery, too) and glad you found us! It means a lot to hear kind words like that from you. Thanks for being along for the journey! 👍-Howard
Your last video gave me a meltdown and I wasn’t even driving lol. Glad everything was ok, nothing broke, and you got there in one piece. That view was absolutely magnificent! Thanks for sharing. Safe travels and stay well.
Haha, a good cry is definitely needed once in a while. But I was able to pull it together! So glad it wasn't worse. The views for sure ended up being worth it in the end!
OMG!!! WHAT. A. MESS!!! I’m so sorry you had to go through that Katelyn, but WOW look at your final reward! I so glad you worked out everything. I would have panicked, myself! Please take care! Love you guys!, Virginia
Virginia, thanks so much! ♥️ It was super frightening to feel stuck there, but in the end, it was only a couple hundred feet from where we were camping! Learned lots of lessons on this adventure...
Poor bike rack 😢 but it’s ok and glad it’s not broke 👍🏼. Love the falls, absolutely beautiful view. May i interest you in a Jeep Willies package or rubicon package 😂. Love that boondocking spot and even the lake spot was great. Great video ✌🏼
That was an incredible boondocking spot! But yeah, I would have had several meltdowns on that road as well as the one going up to the falls. Roads like that just kind of 🫣🥺 Glad all ended up ok!
I used to work a wildlife biology job that took me off road & once got stuck in mud. After 2 hours of struggling to get myself out and MANY emotional breakdowns someone in a truck finally came along and pulled me out. Lesson learned 😂
So so sorry you got stuck, Katelyn. That must have been really scary. The spot you ended up in was amazing, though! Bridal Veil Falls sure looked beautiful. Glad you guys were safe and the vehicles were ok! 🎉
Thanks so much, Shannon! It was definitely scary at the time but I am SO glad I still had cell service and ended up being close. Valuable lessons were learned. And yes! Those falls were beautiful. Miss you guys!!!
Yayyyy oh my goodness this was such an amazing part of our Colorado adventure! Poor Katelyn that Last Dollar Road incident was insane!! So glad we had a few comfy nights at that campground after all this went down. Also, still dreaming about Bridal Veil Falls! 😭❤️
Memories. We did Last Dollar Road S to N, in a Datsun PU pulling a small airstream. Got stopped going uphill (momentum) by a shepherd with a zillion sheep. Survived!😊
Very true! We all learned important lessons, even after over four years of full-time travel. Pleased to say that is the one and only time any of that has ever happened! 👍 -Howard
Aww. Felt so bad for Katelyn. 😪 Glad nothing was damaged. I must say that Scout didn't really help at all. 🤣💞 Thanks for sharing this cautionary tale. We are starting to get vivid but sparse color in western NY. 🍃🍂🍁 -Troy & Aimee
I am loving your videos, binging so many!! Can I ask what date you were there? We are planning on going in October, and I'm trying to determine when exactly "fall" hits there.
Krista, thanks so much and glad you found us! It was late August when we filmed in Telluride, but some of the leaves were already changing at higher elevation. Maybe even a few weeks later in September would be the start of fall? -Howard
Hi Debra, yes to all of the above! We bought it because it is weight rated for ebikes, can be installed on an RV and also folds down when not in use or when moving it between vehicles, etc. It's the Thule EasyFold XT, which is pricey but worth it for all of the above for us: amzn.to/3yMIZAP
Jim, we usually DO travel together for scouting when dry camping, but this had great reviews talking about easy access. Sadly, Katelyn approached the campsite from the opposite direction and was pretty soundly stuck. Thanks for watching! 👍-Howard
My husband installed a bike rack on back of our trailer. Just made it across the Arizona border when people were waving and shouting at us like crazy. Well the bike rack broke and we were dragging our brand new bikes and were having sparks shooting all over. New bikes were toast, yeah I said that, totally ruined. Someone must have been alerted highway patrol that someone the some people are having a 4th July show. He was concerned we were on a wide spot on the FRY and was concerned we might get hit. We hauled what was left of the bikes into the trailer and dumped them in somesone big dumpster.

Lis, thanks so much! There's a first time for everything, and this time it was getting stuck remotely. 😯 Certainly a learning experience, too!
Stunning scenery! 😍 Don't worry about the meltdown, we all need one every now and then! 😉
Haha, a good cry is definitely needed once in a while. But I was able to pull it together! So glad it wasn't worse. The views for sure ended up being worth it in the end!
I just love watching all your adventures 😊👍🏻
Susan, thanks so much! ♥️

I would have cried too Katelyn! So happy you’re ok!! ❤❤
Thanks so much, Kim! It was definitely stressful at the time but a good reminder to read the reviews thoroughly haha
Wow! Gorgeous views, well worth the "adventure".
Dani, it's incredibly beautiful. Absolutely love Colorado camping. ♥️
The cows were looking at you like: where you think you going with that bike rack?
Probably so! 😂🐮

Hahaha, oh we like to challenge ourselves driving the CR-V in tough spots. 😂 First actual time we got stuck and it was actually from the bike rack!
Tommy Boy! 🤣🤣🤣 Beautiful views!
Lol, Chris you know what I mean! 😂👍-Howard

That was a beautiful camping spot!!!
I am so glad the reward was worth it, because I was really starting to second guess it all haha but yes! Those views were amazing!
Beautiful area! Look up Black Bear Pass 4x4 trail. The falls are at the end of that trail coming down the mountain, which is one way only!
Wow, Darrell, thanks for the tip. That looks beautiful from the pics! Definitely adding it to the list for next time. 👍-Howard

Right?! It was definitely intense, so glad it all turned out ok! But whew... stressful. So glad the views were worth it!
Scout is a good friend 🥺🥰
She's the best!!! 🥹❤️🐾

Best travel videos and cool people!
All is well that ends well. 🙂

Hahaha, she was emotional support at least 😂❤ It was a good reminder, for sure!! Hope y'all are enjoying cooler weather up there!

great video. You two are awesome. Thanks Don
Awww thanks SO much Don!!! ❤❤❤
So glad the bike rack is ok as well. What type is it? Do you ever put it on your navion? Will it support e-bikes.?

Even most jeepers won't go out alone to those places. A second vehicle and set of hands can be critical to get unstuck or sadly, protect yourself.

Mary, sorry to hear about the troubles with your bike rack! At least no one was injured, thank goodness. 👍-Howard
Been there done that!!
Amazing camping spots again, as usual. Incredible views! Maybe a jeep for your future tow vehicle? :)
So much beauty here in CO! Haha.... for the type of off-roading we end up doing, it's not a bad idea! 😅
Great video in a nervous sort of way, lol.
Haha, we know what you mean!!! 😂❤
You needed a van lower to the ground with four wheel drive
Usa is beautyfull
Helloooo 😊👍❤️
She's not alone.
Doggy joke.
You need to pull a Jeep!
Haha, we're getting quite a few Jeep recommendations 😂😅
An Uh Oh video?!
CRV 🤬🤬🤬
The CR-V isn't damaged at all, Lou! All is well and good.😂👍-Howard
