Back in the day some of my homies younger brothers got into an argument with some other kid their age (~16yrs old), the kid that got beat up went and called his dad. The dad came and acted tough with the youngsters and he pulled out a knife on them and started swinging to stab them. The younger homies ended up picking up bats and dinging the dad in the head several times, then he went to the hospital and died. As a youngster you got to learn to let things go and not be prideful before it is too late. As for the old guy in this video his mirror is not worth your life.

I once ditched my bicycle to avoid hitting a driver who pulled out in front of me (in full sunlight, while I was riding with a headlight, and wearing a high-visibility vest, riding on a street designated as a cycling route. There was really no reason for him not to have seen me). In addition to a fair amount of road rash, I sustained a concussion and required two stitches by my right eye. Despite having the opportunity, means, and desire, I did not damage the driver's vehicle.
While I think that many drivers also need to take care to avoid "right-hooking" cyclists, it appears that most of you did just about nothing to make yourselves visible to others at night.
If I were a police officer, I would have arrested your vandal friend and allowed the driver to be on his way.
