- Welcome to my KeeperRL playthrough! Alpha 33 is here and we will take a look at the new features! In this series, we will work to build an army and take over the world!
As we begin we need to dig out our cave system and murder our first innocent tribe of humans.
This game is a lot like Dungeon Keeper and pulls from great games like Dwarf Fortress. It's constantly being updated and is a real joy to play!

love this game. you're the first youtuber I've seen cover it, so I'll tell you and any comment readers how you can cheese stats.
First, you should collect up as many scrolls of weapon/armor enchantment as possible, same with potions of defense. you might be tempted to use these immediately, but if you stockpile them you can boost those stats much faster later. once you have a few of those, you just need the double trouble ability. you can find runes with this ability or sometimes equipment branded with it already. Evil priests of Adoxie also have this ability, if you are hard pressed. scrolls of double trouble are also very useful for this exploit, don't use them unless you have no other options. even a single additional one will make the process faster.
OK. so once you have the materials, you can start duping. double trouble has a ridiculously long cooldown, but if you take your time it won't matter much. basically, you want to take your keeper, or whatever unit you want to cheese, equip them with double trouble, and pick up all of your stat boosting items. go to an open area, and remove all unnecessary weapons and armor and drop them at your feet. this is so that your double don't generate equipped with them. clones spawn with an exact copy of your inventory, though these items are set to disappear when double trouble wears off. BUUUUT that doesn't really matter, if they are consumable items you can still take them and use them to boost your stats permanently. see where I'm going with this...? just use double trouble, then pick back up your gear and equip it. Also, drop the scrolls & potions you had initially, so they don't get mixed up with the ones that expire. then, go ahead and start cutting down your doubles and using up their items before they vanish. I say double"s" because if you are carrying scrolls of double trouble, these will also be cloned, and the copy will start using them to spawn MORE copies once combat is initiated- and all of them will have the same inventory of stat boosters for you to farm. you only have a set amount of time to collect&use them, but the process can be repeated as often as you like to turn even a modest amount of stat boosters into an infinite amount of stat gain.

@@Trusten83 yeah, I think I posted about it a year or two ago when I found it, but it never really got much attention. Have to be sorta late game to really abuse it anyway.

For sure! I have it set at -10db. I can adjust it a little but not a ton because if I go much higher I enter the red zone!

Just FYI Retired Dungeons are not yours they are Dungeons made by Other people when a dungeon is retired the base layout and minions in it are saved to kind of a wider cloud that your game can take from

I have wanted games to do this for so long. Like why don't games like minecraft have an option where you can throw in your builds into the pool of terrain generation?
What I like about this idea is that from the beginning I am more motivated to make my base in style because someone might actually go through it.

Man every game you and splatter at play I want to play so badly!! I however only have an Xbox one and when I look up games similar to them there ain't shit on Xbox game pass or even the store man! RimWorld! Soulash! Dwarf fortress all need a PC man all the good shit still on PC like when I was playing on my snes and ps1 back in the day. 😭
I totally understand. The good thing is that you can live vicariously through Splattercat and myself until you get a PC!
Oh i love the old Bullfrog Dungeon Keeper games, this is going to be fun.
I have never played Dungeon Keeper or Dwarf Fortress. People have told me that this game is similar to the two. I really enjoy it! I hope you do too.
@@Trusten83 This is 90% similar to Dungeon Keeper. The concept, the game play, the units, the mining, the doors, the traps, the enemies and so on. The second game (Dungeon Keeper 2) is a great game even today, i'm sure you would love it. It also has one of the best narrators in any game in my opinion. Anyway, this is great i'll be sure to watch this series of yours keep up the good work.

@@Trusten83 Dungeon Keeper one is superior due to its originality in unit design, and how the puzzle solving requires you being evil in the game, also rewards exploring with huge benifits, and incentivies that way to really explore every square. The 1 resource is also superior in my opinion as it gives you a decision on whenever to use spell or units to conquer, while DK2 seperated the 2 making it more like spam spells to not waste theire accumilation (also spam it in combat cuz otherwise you cant use mana for anything else), really killed it for me. Dungeon Keeper got a Deeper Dungeons expansion that is also really good but only for hard core experts, due to theire insane lenghty maps.
Furthermore if you like Theme hospital along side with Dungeon Keeper with a bit of Settlers I-II, then you would love Dungeons first 1+expansion, which I belive is the pinacle of dungeon style gameplay after DK1, due to its intricate gameplay. Dungeon 2 got a bit more arcady, but its a nice transition to Dungeons 3, which is a modern evolution of the original DK games. Maybe the unit design is not as evil-y including the story and puzzle solving, but the raw gameplay is superior to 90% of the franchise.
Im opposed to try unfinished games, but thank you for sharing and covering such a market for us non-mono gamers.

I haven't played Dungeons 1, but I did play Dungeons 3 and I really liked the story. It was pretty funny! I may go back to it when the Death's Door series ends.
I used to never buy early access games. But I found so many that are really enjoyable, like KeeperRL. I am glad that you're enjoying them.
