Oh my gosh I Met William I use to be a sitter for his brother he was so down to earth and laid back. He treated me with the utmost respect! Rebecca and their first born was with him. I was in highs cool I loved the album and this is my favorite song makes me feel so nostalgic. Nothing like the 90’s ❤R.I.H
This Song Inspired me to be a singer, When i was a kid i got a cd player for my birthday but no cds so i happened to stumble upon this song on a Pepsi demo cd and when i heard this i kept that cd forever now i sing it like a champ in my band I plan to bring this song back and give FULL credit to Will Owsley. R.I.P Will, you will be missed
I first heard Owsley as I was sitting in a movie theater in Denver, Colorado waiting for the movie to start. Coming Up Roses played during a promo. I immediately connected with it. Somehow I remembered his name and went and bought his cd the very next day. The whole album is incredible. Mixed by Tom Lord Alge. Every track sounds so HUGE and his guitar tones are amazing. I was saddened to have heard he passed away a while back. He was a rare talent.
What I shame I met Will in Houston when working for a company called Noize Pollution that did local promotions for artists. He was a genuinely good guy. He treated me like I was part of the crew instead of some chump just there to put up posters and give out free singles. RIP Will :-(
That is flipping awesome, THANK you for posting that! I had been trying to figure out a couple of the chords for it, and now, from the hands of Will himself. Rest In Peace, Will, you are loved, and you left us too soon.
My God I loved him. I worked in radio and was so pissed the label didn't make Oh No the Radio the first single. Maybe things would have turned out differently for this sweet kind darling and talented man.
Thanks for posting. Was coming back around to finishing tribute tune and thought I'd see what footage might be out there. Cool to see some raw video. Naturally checked your other vids as well - good stuff.
I happened to stumble upon this music because my last name is Owsley, I saw his album in the store and had to get it. Turned out to be one of my favorite albums ever. I was wondering if you could do a cover of the entire song, you have a great voice, super talented, and I wanna know how to play the whole thing.
OMG! How long ago did he pass? What happened? I bought his first CD 12 years ago and always waited to hear final word of when the 2nd one was coming out. Man, I'm depressed now.

Big thanks!
Man, he was a great guy. On one hand, he showed you those chords. On the other hand, you still have to play them. My hands hurt just looking at them.
Ha Scott…#TRUEDAT
You've got to post the whole song. Fantastic job!!! I've been a fan of Will's since the Semantics, and you really nailed that one.

Jacques Guillemin Je suis en accord. Gui était un grand joueur!!
That was truly a great melody. John Lennon would be proud.
Will would be proud.

Thanks for posting. I was wondering what the chords were. I which it could have gone on longer....
Nice! Good on ya!
you couldn't have picked a more appropriate verse or better song to remember him with. Music is better because of Will.
OMG! How long ago did he pass? What happened?
I bought his first CD 12 years ago and always waited to hear final word of when the 2nd one was coming out.
Man, I'm depressed now.
How many "hit" songwriters today even know what those chords are?
another lost :( why do good musicians have to go early :(
