    I really appreciate the abundance of shared paths in the cbd area. I hate navigating thru some of the traffic there. I get horned at so many times even though i was following road cyclist rules.

      Yep agreed, especially those one-lane roads and roads with double-left lanes, I hate those. CBD has so many of those. Not to mention you get to also skip some of the traffic junctions, which can be a time suck.
      Ride safe!

      Most drivers who are unhappy at ebike citizens are barking up the wrong tree. Which Ebikers wants to go on the road risking their lives and be horned and hated by cars and bus drivers? While there are always exceptions, given a choice, most cyclists and Ebikers don't want to use the road for the obvious risks they are exposed to. Of course many cyclists with high speed high priced road bicycles can pedal at speeds of 40-50kmh easily are not so much worried. Nevertheless, roads are better for cycling in terms of the smoothness of the road compared to pedestrians but this does not mean cyclists want the risks from cars. They do so as it's the only way for them to pedal at high speeds. Risks remain. So, simply put, if there is dedicated cycling only tracks, they would have used it. Most who kpkb at cyclists are those who never cycle and they assume they will never need to. Now these are usually unhappy disgruntled people. They jump on the attach putting nasty comments because they can vent their frustrations with life . These are failures. Put it this way, you ask them, have you never broken traffic rules? Have you intentionally not signalled causing misunderstandings to road users and putting them at risk? Of course every driver has broken traffic rules . They are no better. Cyclists are humans are pedestrians can also be drivers all at the same time.
      When these forkers one day forced jobless they will realise they can use the bike to do food delivery and when self-interest is aligned, they will never scold cyclists .
      Long story short, it's the Policy that forces us to go onto the roads and piss off drivers. This regardless of there are rule breakers or reckless ones or not because every Singapore vehicle type has reckless drivers and rule breakers and modders. So don't be confused by the lambasting . A car driver horning at you does not mean they are right. They could be the typical ugly s.o.b lousy Singapore drivers which exists plenty everyday since decades ago, captured on video everyday. Unfortunately, many who read the news are news that are bad. They formed an impression that all Ebikers are modders and break traffic rules. It's a common symptom with simpletons. These are easily gaslighted by anyone. Reality is, all vehicle owners break traffic rules at least once.
      Fact remains : most humans killed in accidents are killed by cars. Period.

    How much ah you think you need if deliveroo keep asking you to go up mount Sophia/other orchard hills such as Leonie hill? Hills and mountains affect mileage.. they have the right to keep asking you to go there.. these customers want the convenience, they don't mind waiting for you

    • @berniestudio
      @berniestudio  2 дня назад

      Lol, that'll be brutal. I went up a few hilly roads in this video, so my results you can say is pretty average. Like I mentioned in this video, if it can last in Downtown, it can last in any other zone in Singapore.
      If you have the energy, try to use a lower gear like 4 instead of 5. I feel keeping it at 5 eats more battery.

  • @snowy2875
    @snowy2875 2 дня назад

    But so surprised that 15ah battery can last 8 hours with Deliveroo?! Their trips are all super long one sial. I send two trips for green, at around 5.5km. But I send one for deliveroo will, and can up to 6 to 8km.
