- Israel's military says that on Saturday Iran launched more than 200 drones, cruise and ballistic missiles towards Israeli territory, the vast majority of which were intercepted. The assault - a retaliation for an Israeli airstrike on Iran's consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus earlier this month - is the most serious escalation in an already unstable Middle East. Correspondent Imtiaz Tyab reports the latest from Tel Aviv.

Defending themselves against what, orchestrating the Hamas attack on Israel? Or is it the Houthi attacks? The statement of the seven hypocritical leaders does not condemn the killing of forty thousand Palestinians and one hundred thousand wounded. It does not condemn famine. If Iran doesn't take retalitory measures, it could be seen as a weakness that would be exploited, thus causing more attacks and deaths for Iran. I mean you don't use sanctions lawfully or equally.
