6: Stella Polaris. It's an great album,but too introduce someone to Goatmoon i would use any other album.
5: What Once Was... Shall Be Again for me it misses some energy from Varjot and Voitto Tai Valhalla.

1: Voitto Tai Valhalla is for me personal an absolute masterpiece,the bass and keyboards during Way Of The Holocaust Winds are on a other level. Vääräoppisen Tuhovärssy is a song i can't get enough from.
BlackGoat is a musical genius,and he is also very kind,had the chance to talk and drink with him during SteelHordes 2021

Goatmoon is one of my favorite bands in Finnish black metal. They combine the fast, aggressive riffs of Satanic Warmaster with the melodic, folky instrumentation of Nokturnal Mortum. All their albums are great, and here would be my ranking:

Awesome ranking. Goatmoon is one of my favourite bands. In my opinion, every album is a masterpiece aside for silver serpent. My favourite album is either FSS or Death before dishonour depending on my mood. I’m glad you gave Stellar Polaris the credit it deserves. It’s the album that got me into the band and it’s still one of my favourite albums to this day.

There's no bad Goatmoon albums, some are just better than others. Very consistent band.

The new album is bad
He actually does a ton of splits and EP's too. Some of the splits have really good songs, but they are single songs and trying to find and listen to them is a pain. Kinda wish he would do a compilation of all that stuff to make it easier to listen to.

Death Before Dishonor #1
It's like a finnish spin on Gorgoroth's debut, minus the polished production. (Yes, I'm calling Pentagram polished.) Lots of spirit. Melodic but very savage. Basically exactly what came to mind when you thought "back metal" in the 2000s, but now that that sound isn't so oversaturated anymore, it's easy to see this album as one of the best things in that style.
Finnish Steel Storm is good too, although they were starting to get a bit too fun and folky for me. Then they got way too folky for me.
I will agree Stella Polaris is a bit better than "Voitto...", which has this incredibly weird muffled overly bassy production.

I really have been liking Goatmoon’s new album and it just keeps getting better for me with each listen and is my number three, the other top two matches you with 2. Stella Polaris and 1. Finnish Steel Storm - classic!

But damn when it comes to the albums within the bands there's so many times when your favourite album is one of my lesser favourites and your least favourite is my favourite. 😂
All Goatmoons albums are great but for me Valhalla is by far my favourite. Every song slams for me.
Agreed though I don't understand why people dislike Polaris.

The ranking could change because I have only listened to the new album a couple times.
Generally a good list, and I agree with the top 2. I think What Once Was… improves a lot with repeated listenings, and I’d probably put it at three or four.
Finnish Steel Storm is a perfect 10/10 to me. Never blown away by any others, although the newest one is much better than I expected considering bands that have been around this long don’t usually have a track record of putting out compelling material imo
I think death before dishonor is the best goatmoon album it’s a raw bm masterpiece I like all the albums but that one always stood out for me
