Jajce was incredible, Mostar is something else too. There are a lot more places like this and it's common to swim in rivers during the summer as people enjoy their time in bars and restaurants overlooking them. Fantastic atmosphere all around in this beautiful little heart shaped country that should be cherished.
Bosnia is one of those countries I would never forget when I visited. The mountains are to be seen to believed, absolutely stunning. Always got time for your videos. Much love ❤
Thank you guys for promoting our country. I just wanted to say about Travnik; it was never the capital of the medieval kingdom, but the capital of Eyalet of Bosnia which was the province of the Ottoman Empire. It was the seat of the Ottoman governor until 1853 when the seat was moved back to Sarajevo. Cheers and enjoy :)
Come to the northwestern border with Croatia to the cities of Bosanska Krupa and Bihać. The scenery is by far the best in Bosnia because of the river Una and the waterfalls❤😊
That last place you stayed in looks amazing! Looking forward to your videos from Mostar! :) I totally recommend visiting Blagaj fortress near Mostar. There's a bit of a hike and it's not easy to get to, but it's worth the view. Especially sunset!
Thanks guys for visiting my country, you got a new subscriber because besides I love your accent, I also love how you perceive and promote my Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦🥰🥰🥰
If you guys ever go back to Bosnia, i will leave a few suggestions of places to visit that i would say are less touristy but breathtakingly beautiful. 1. Waterfall Skakavac 2. Bijela, its a cave with waterfalls inside the cave between Mostar and Jablanica. 3. Bijambare, absolutely amazing caves. 4. My personal favorite, perucac a river in the municipality of Srebrenica that is the border between Bosnia and Serbia.
Jajce a Croatian Royal town builded by Ban of Bosnia Hrvoje Vukčić Hrvatinić! Near Jajce, just few kilometers of it, there is famous Catholic pilgramige site called Podmilačje, a Saint John The Baptist! Jajce it has all, when it comes for summer and winter vacation, compared to other cities in Bosnia(Herzegovina excluded), that's why is best Bosnian city! 👍✌️⚜️🕊️
*Welcome to our beautiful bosnia and herzegovina, there are still many places to visit, the last rainforests, even the ice age in europe, and many lakes and other places*
Travnik is my home town 🙂I really hope you drank water from Plava voda spring because it literally springs from there. Clean and cold water we use in our homes as tap water. But this water is water you want to drink anywhere and everywhere. I am glad you've been to Travnik and Jajce since very small number of tourists actually visits these towns, although we talk about one of the prettiest places to visit when in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I also recommend Trebinje town, National parks Una and Sutjeska (where the last jungle in Europe is located) etc., a lot to see really...best regards from Travnik :)
Bosnia is us all day long , the balkans in my opinion are unbelievable absolutely mind blowing . A waterfall in a town centre lol even Watford doesn’t have that 😂. Honestly I’ve fallen in love with Bosnia. Egg pepper tomato for breakfast sounds heaven ,
Meet Bosnia is awesome. I did a number of tours both single and multi days in Bosnia and Herzegovina with them. Travnik’s Ćevapi is definitely the best. In Jajce there is also a view of the waterfall on the other side of the river which is free. My Meet Bosnia guide show me this view. Jajce was also the location from where post WW2 Yugoslavia was formed.
Thank you both for this so valuable video. I certainly heard about beautiful Bosnia and kind Bosnian people. I am looking forward to visit soon. Kind regards guys.
Yay -tze , easy to pronuance if u take a little effort. Yes it looks amazing and one of the most historic and scenic if not the most in country not to mention so heroic in 90s war too as much as in 1460s. Love ur vids.
Thank you for going to Travnik and Jajce, barely any tourists go there. I wish VisitBosnia took you to Bobovac as well. The biker festival is hilarious since biker culture in Bosnia is basically nonexistent.
You have to visit the Waterfalls Kravice. And Go to the River Neretva on a Rafting trip last year i was there and it was great. Thanks for Promotion my beautiful Country
It's so interesting to see own county through someone else's eyes. My biggest sorrow is the fact Bosnians, and Bosnjaks are scattered all over the world. We used to be brave, stubborn and patriotic highlanders. Now we might wonder who'll inherit the country. I've seen some Nepal workers recently... who knows?
Ya'll should go to Konjic, it's my home town. The city is gorgeous, some parts heavily Turkish of course. You can then hire a raft down the Neretva river, it is one of the clearest rivers you'll ever see in your life. Some parts are proper quick so it's an exciting ride too! Not dangerous don't worry, the guides are excellent rafters.
Thanks for visiting and promoting our wonderful country of 🇧🇦! Just a few weeks ago, a great friend of mine from 🇸🇬 came for a visit and I managed to show her Sarajevo, Travnik, Mostar and Blagaj. She was amazed by so much beauty and promised to come back with her family. 🤗 Just wondful..💫 Greetings from Travnik-born living in 🇸🇪.
Matt and Molly love your channel and been watching for months. Almost every video, I say to my wife, “Matt reminds me of an actor, but I can’t figure out which one.” Last night watching House of Dragons I figured it out. It’s the actor Matt Smith. He also played the queens husband in one of the seasons of The Queen. This is a total compliment. He’s a great actor.
I've been loving these Bosnia videos. I've been wanting to return ever since my deployment in 2003. We were based next to Bratunac and there when they commemorated the victims of Srebrenica, and it is a lovely memorial site. I've wanted to drive by the places that we used to see on our patrols. Please travel to River Una and u can take rafting upp in the town Bihac i think it would bee epic story for your Bosnian story Line plus nature over there is extreme beautiful. Enjoy guys :)
Travnik is my hometown and I literally live 50 meters away from Plava Voda. And on my RUclips channel you have a lot of recordings from Travnik, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And it's true, we have the best ćevapi in the world...
Why is that restaurant in Travnik called "Plava voda" ("Blue Watter")? Well, you need to go to the source, 200 m upstream and you will see a dam. At the source, the water is blue-turquoise and 16 m deep, that's why it's called that! I am glad that you visited the town of Travnik, my mother's birthplace. I enjoy your vlogs every minute! And I have to add this, Molly I fell in love with you! ...15 or 30 seconds later ... Matt, I'm sorry but I have to admit that you are the luckiest man in the world! Thank you both... I love you! 🥰 P.S. Maybe this is your most extreme comment so far, but I just wanted to show that you triggered emotions in some people who follow you. And if you managed to do that, then you are on the right track...

Hello my Idols im late but I’m watching now so beautiful country lots of awesome natures thank you so much for your hard work wow I love that waterfall so stunning lots of river so beautiful take care and more blessings both of you 🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ah, the Blue Water restaurant - a classic pit stop point for my family in the 80s on our way home from summer vacation. We would always stop in Travnik and rest at the restaurant before the last segment of the car ride, maybe have a drink and eat some ćevapi. I remember that ćevapi at Blue Water weren't that good - compared to Bosnian standards they were very generic, but we were there more for the experience - the sound of water, late summer afternoon vibe as the sun was setting behind the hills and the climate got more pleasant - those were the days.
Near Mostar there is a town called Jablanica, there by the river Neretva there are several restaurants that sell lamb as a specialty for several hundred whole lambs a day. Be sure that it will be the best lamb you've ever tasted :-)
Bihać was the last place to be conquered by Ottomans. Something like 200 years after the ottomans began their conquest of the Bosnian Kingdom. Also, please look into pronunciation of Sarajevo 😊
@@TheSouth-j7f Yes it’s true that it was a temporary capital of the Croatian Kingdom. It was also granted a status of a Free Royal City by the Hungarian Crown. Bihać has a very interesting history before and after ottomans came.
I am Bosnian but I live in Sweden and no disrespect to Sweden but in terms of nature and landscape the Balkans is along with Austria and Switzerland the best in Europe and not a day goes by that I don't miss living there. We moved out of necessity unfortunately back in the 90s as our home was destroyed and we had no money. The thing about the nature in the Balkans is that most of it is still actual nature, as opposed to most of Sweden where it's heavily man-influenced and restricted. No real wild places.
I don't know if i can agree with you. To start with "unrestricted part" - like, Sweden is pretty much "uninhabited" country considering the population number and the large land areas that the country consists of. The country sites in Sweden are huuuuge. Like literally kilometers of fields, forests, mountains with extremely low population density (or wilderness). Comparing Scandinavian, particulary Swedish landscape to Balkan landscape is at the end of the day like comparing apples with oranges. I might personally find Balkan landscape more appealing too, but there is something with Sweden as well, its forests, archipelago, sea, mountains. Also during the summer - Sweden is the best place to be at. In Balkans you pass out from the heat :D
@@ShejtanVrbaski Sweden is empty but that does not mean that the land is unoccupied. Sweden is a farming country and most of those forests and fields that you are talking about are owned by families going back generations. Not so much mountains as Sweden is mostly flat except for along the Norway border but even then the mountains are fairly shallow and wide akin to hills more so and are mostly completely bare so nothing to really see on them. Norway definitely got the better part of Scandinavia compared to Sweden in regards to aesthetic landscape. You will not find a lushly forested tall jagged mountain in Sweden like you will in Bosnia. Sweden is decent for on the water stuff with it's archipelagos, not so much inland where it's very samey everywhere. Land here is either "state"-owned or privately owned, about an even 50-50 split. Very very little is anything else. On top of that you have extremely restrictive laws around where you are allowed to be and what you are allowed to do. And like I said the stuff that is there is very man-influenced and not very wild looking, likely because it's so empty and flat. They needed to make their own points of interest, for me personally it's uninteresting because it looks too neat, too deliberate. I will agree with you on the topic of heat, maybe it's because I have adapted to Sweden but as soon as it gets even close to 30c I start to struggle.
You should come to Sarajevo during SFF... P.s. Thx for these videos...u two literally made me want to go downtown, eat ćevapi, drink coffee, have sarajevsko...and I'm born and live here 😂😂😂😂😂

Regarding your confusion when it comes to town vs city, in Bosnian language we use the same word for both so sometimes when Bosnians speak English they might use those two word interchangeably not realising they have slightly different meanings.
I guess you technically still can imply "town" in our language by using word "gradić" which is diminutive form for regular word "grad" which means "city". When I think of a place that I classify as "gradić" I will always translate that to "town" instead of "city".
Such great Video i can complain only about 2 Things...why didnt you guys visit my City bihac in northwestern bosnia it has also one of the cleanest river on earth called Una you really missed one of the most beautiful waterfalls there ... and second why do you guys use that music for the Video it seems you wanted some "balkan music" but it isnt bosnian at all ..actuwlly in the Video at the Restaurant in travnik we all hear one of the most Popular singers of All time in the balkans since the 50s 😅and 60s maybe you could have used that too for example and even at the biker Festival i Heard some good old bosnian and balkan Rock Songs from the 70s and 80s and even new ones ❤😂 Great Video 🎉❤
In "Baš-Čelik" the word "baš" means head (so "Baš-Čelik" means "Steelheaded"). But Turkish word "baş" also mean "prime, primary, the first, special", and in modern Turkish there's also "başabaş" (Turks tend to double words in due to emphasize their meaning) - meaning "equal, even, quits, tight". In Turkish it's used similarly to old Slavic word "uprav" (meaning just, trully, exactly). So, baš dobro - very well/good, baš kao - as well as, baš te volim - I trully love you ... This is all over the Balkans, and it doesn't mean - old. ;)

Such great Video i can complain only about 2 Things...why didnt you guys visit my City bihac in northwestern bosnia it has also one of the cleanest river on earth called Una you really missed one of the most beautiful waterfalls there ... and second why do you guys use that music for the Video it seems you wanted some "balkan music" but it isnt bosnian at all ..actuwlly in the Video at the Restaurant in travnik we all hear one of the most Popular singers of All time in the balkans since the 50s 😅and 60s maybe you could have used that too for example and even at the biker Festival i Heard some good old bosnian and balkan Rock Songs from the 70s and 80s and even new ones ❤😂
Great Video 🎉❤
My beautiful Sarajevo ❤️
🥰💗
Nice one guys. You have only one problem with spelling name of Sarajevo, is not H Sarahevo, haha, but J Sarajevo. Nice video from my home country.🙂
Sorry for that
In "Baš-Čelik" the word "baš" means head (so "Baš-Čelik" means "Steelheaded"). This is all over the Balkans, and it doesn't mean - old. ;)
Thank you! Just a translation we were told by the hotel
