    I use it to scare marina owners and other boats with...
    Actually - with such a big mainsail you need to get the jib out a long way to balance the rig (stop her turning towards the wind all the time). The choice is either build a bigger boat (but then you can have a bigger mainsail!) or to put it on a pole... hence the bowsprit was born...

    Sailing people almost universally use terrible music to accompany their vids. It's an interesting demographic, the yachtie.
