Wow, thanks for making this video, nice and easy, I almost spent money unnecessarily on a new SSD

I want to increase size of c drive of my win server vm....i have partitions in this sequence c, d drive and around 600 gb unallocated. I tried resizing like we do in windows but messed up. From unallocated drive, i made a partition and was copying drive d data in new drive. While it was copying, it got messed up and then eventually had to retrieve previous backup

assign more space from proxmox and then use win server manager to extend it. i think VirtIO plays a part too.
watch a video on youtube channel name LearLinuxTV. that will help

You removed the "local-lvm" and then run the script to resize. Probably you used a new Proxmox installation. In my situation I have already 2 VM's running on Proxmox and the local-lvm therefore contains data. Can I still follow the steps, or will I loose existing disk images? I have no containers so far.
Also, my local (pve) does not have enough space to move any existing local lvm data to the local storage.

I think as we delete the local-lvm, it will delete all data in it. I have never tested it so i can not answer if that is even possible or not (attach it without deleting)
as you have said you do not have the storage. better way is to link a new drive and create ZFS. That's how i created my setup with SSD (main, boot drive) and HDD for VM /CT storage

@@WebMentorDev Thank you for your reply. I will see if I can find some information on how to do that!

@@JDSchuitemaker sure. i actually switched to Debian 12 from proxmox so i could not test it for you otherwise i would have replied with the solution. May be chatGPT can help
