I love this video so much. I love how Claudette decided to homeschool her children instead of sending them to a private school. Growing up I was privately educated, and yes going to a private school provided me with the networks that I benefit from until this day, but I wasn't taught life skills. I went to university and was exposed to things I had no experience with. Life is a learning curve, but it is always better to learn this early than later. Congratulations Adrienne!! I have been praying for you constantly and I am so happy to hear that you are now blessed with motherhood.

Growing up my dad always made an effort to make sure I was knowledgeable financially. One way he did it to expose me at a really young age (starting at 5) was having me work for chores (before I was old enough to get a job). With the allowance I got from chores I had to divide it into portions: spending/fun cash, savings (for my investing/5-29), and money to give at church. It was great and it really instilled the value of saving money and giving back rather than spending it all.

Love how you’ll be teaching the next generation. My parents would always talk about money and share their stress about money so from a young age I knew that things cost money and was always scared to ask for anything. I feel like I am barely recovering from financial trauma. I am just now allowing myself to spend on myself without feeling guilty because that’s how my parents always made me feel because money was tight. So i love how y’all are teaching your kids about money but in a healthy way so that they are knowledgeable rather than fearful. ☺️

Transparency with money is a great idea... but my mom was VERY transparent with me as a kid. If you as a parent are not making enough or barely making enough it definitely can trigger some anxiety if your kids are empathetic like I was. PLEASE keep up this content and transparency because I feel like it’s endless but it’s worth so much. All of us Latinos know that finances is everything BUT a transparent topic, and you don’t let your kids know if you’re struggling or not. With this insight I’m learning that there’s a way to be transparent and bring awareness/knowledge while not causing any sort trauma among young ones who truly should learn because it’s that much harder to bring up when they’re older.

love how you are showing real life tips. This is real life and this should be a life course and all the tips. I remember how people got mad at me cause I would tell my daughter our business saying I put this on her. I was doing this cause I was trying to show her so she could understand, I was bad and putting the burden on her is what people would say. I was trying to show her real life and why we had to understand life and things in life. Thank you for sharing

Thank you, beautiful ladies, for your knowledge. My new year's resolution for 2022 was to save every receipt so that I could add up all my spending. So far, this has been the only resolution I've stuck to. I wouldn't even call in a resolution because I end up resulting in the same habits. I call this a revolution in life.

The tips on how to communicate finances with your children really speaks to me. I grew up with my mom being transparent about how much money was available in the house and how it was used and it really helped me not feel pressured with what friends had or whatever cos I understood what we could afford and what we couldn't.

I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.

The pandemic came and taught everyone the importance of having multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a nice paying job doesn't mean you are financial secured anymore. So we all need to put in an extra-income earning chance, like investments.

Frugality is an attractive quality to the majority of the population. Being frugal is about putting your dollars towards the things you care about and not overspending on the things that don't matter.

Hey Adrienne, I agreed with almost everything here and LOVED this video. The only thing for me, I wouldn’t want to drill this idea of money and finances into my children’s mind so young. I don’t want them to ever worry about money or know about what we are spending or saving until they are at least 9/10. Anything below that, I would feel uncomfortable with that information and burden on them.

Homeschool mama here ✋️. This is a good topic, nicely done! I struggle with sharing our finances with our children, I've always felt I didn't want them to worry about grown up things. But it's so true, and now that we have 2 young adults, I see how they could have benefitted by knowing.

Adrienne you are so good at conecting with people. You make each topic excited.I like the exsample your sister gave on her children wanted to go Disney I agree with what she did. Sometimes I feel some parents wait to late to teach these life lessions to they children and then the children grow ut thinking they are intitle to they parents things and don"t want to move on.( Parents, bend the tree when they are young not when old) Note:-Adrienne I can"t wait to meet baby Ever James .May God continue to be with you amd your familiar
    Stay bless
