Can’t believe I have to explain this but the build I showed vs Steph is my lock. I created that so I can factor out movement, strength and badges with one on one scenarios. The other build I showed with the blue hoodie, that build didn’t have clamps at the time of this recording he was maybe a 70 perimeter d. So you see everything I’m teaching working on the non lock build. Thanks for reading this

Easiest way I've explained it is to play "cut-off" defense. Don't try and always body someone up, but try and cutoff where they're going.

I added 72 strength to my new 6’6 diming three level and threat. This gives me bronze immovable enforcer. So far it’s one of my favorite parts of the build. I no longer get beat by cheap layups on the baseline after i worked hard to stay in front of my matchup

Crazy cause I have 96 strength and sometimes ppl just baseline right past me and my hof immovable badge pops up with “good shot contest” 😭 I do force to’s sometimes tho
@@ThatsNotDreskiibro same 😭 it’s a glitch, but try to play them a bit closer when they’re driving towards the baseline, the baseline has a issue where you can trigger dunks and layups from a shorter distance, compared to any other spot on the floor
Been using these defense tips on my anchor build and my Swiss Army knife build. I must say immovable enforcer is one of the best defensive badge in the game imo. Brings back 2k19 shove vibes

This is some great great stuff in here! Starting 5 is a good place for people to practice these tips if they want consistent reps on guarding ball handlers. Another note on full court pressing, if you bump them in the backcourt they don’t lose adrenaline bars, so it’s really not worth the risks imo

As far as motion style I think kawhi is good laterally for quick shuffle animations but for 2 way players who guard ball at times and create shots I would try Kyle kuzma. You get better off the ball animations, you don’t get that feeling that your player is stuck in mud and late to react.

Challenger with chase down is amazing because block ALSO gets you better contests on shots from the perimeter if you can afford bronze chase down or at the very least 50 block with HOF challenger you will be very tough to shoot around.

Great vid! Defense is easy 4 me. Except I can't stop the John wall crossover. Any suggestions? S/n d should be easy 4 every 1, cuz every 1 got the same moves.
Easies way in my opinion is to work in gatorade for a fatter body shape and learn how to hip ride ur defender to make him pick up the ball thats what i did. Example of hip riding would look like this 9:09
Another example is him slightly on the side of him so he couldnt speed boost to the left or john wall cross so he took a step back and tried to shoot 11:57

Yes it applies to all players centers or players with a longer wingspan they can play back a little further cause their arms are longer. Stay down if they get passed you and use hands up

Yeah ya physical attributes play a major role in how you can move around, and bet lmk how it goes bro
@@Jerseymad93 yep now dat u told me bout bumping and Adreian my 96 per d build is way more effective and i pay attention to how my opponent plays better although i still fall for baseline and that evil stepback

Zero or 50. I don’t touch any settings everything is at the default setting from when the game released

2k low default everything
So on my new 6'6 iso gaurd , he has an 72 intr 64 PD 68 block ,86 SPD and 77 strength is that enough to hold your on on Defense broda ?
77 will be pretty decent for defending point guards but it might be a problem for guarding shooting guards and sf

Bro i got a 90 stl 90 blk 90 perimeter d. Silver clamps gold right stick ripper. My defense is mid asf. Every time my opponent gets the ball i try to bump him he just runs right pass me . How do i bump and stay on him?

it basically comes down to who has the higher badge in the situation if their blow by is higher than your clamps you're kinda cooked there are basically 2 solutions either "get good" with what you have or make a new build with even better defense alot of people have upped their offense to deal with gold badge defensive build so now they have HOF badges you need to do the same imo.

@@Jerseymad93 I always had zero but put it at 50 cause I watched a RUclips named gb3 says it should be at 50 but going back to zero when I get on your left stick movement tip helped me so much I cause I used to use left stick with so much movement and what motion style do you use or you think it doesn’t matter too much
