- I'm getting closer to firing up the 600ish hp stroker motor for the S10! In this video I install a Moroso evac system (part# 25900) and explain why I made that choice..... Don,t forget to SUBSCRIBE!
Thanks.. I was hoping you were going to be talking about the vacuum system
Subscribed - found your channel while looking up a whole lot of evac videos and after looking and listening to a couple different videos, like the way you talk straight up, I don’t have to watch - can listen and look as necessary - they are short and to the point with no airs n graces 👍 keep it up
(I don’t know if it matters for your info - born in 70’s so still in my early days 🤣💪)
Spot on with audio!
Carl Bright thanks again for the input!
Love the truck. Love the channel. Keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Cool ride ya have there.
I like it man
Love evac's, if you take a little off the tip in the header it will pull a little more, mine sucks to my hand at idle with axle dump exhaust with mufflers
How do you have them positioned? you can see what I had to do just to get them in.... The instructions say at the transition point of the collector
Both of mine right after the merge, once i did the side, but in the nova there's room to do right on top. Yeah S10s are little tough i dont see any problem where yours are though, just keep a spare set of valve and put a little anti seize on them, sometimes i get 2 seasons out of a valve sometimes its 6 months,
Ole Deuce hopefully it works out where I have mine mounted....
Super interesting. Do you have a second part?
The angled in dump tubes are to (Supposedly) cancel out drone.
you could plumb in a catch can to 'catch' the oil mist, its what I did.
Is there a certain depth to mount them in the exhaust?? Thanks!
I always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. Do you still have the 68 El Camino?
rivervalleyray yes sir I do! She’s spending the winter in the race car trailer...
The exhaust tips pointed at one another eliminate frequencies to run quieter.
Nice! What type of hose are you using? How has it held up to the temp of the exhaust?
I 5/8 used heater hose.... seems to work fine
How far down in the header is that groove in that nipple supposed to be?
Did you consider you are hindering the exhaust flow w/ that evac pipe in the exhaust? Aren't they designed to be mounted to a 4" collector?
scotty162 I can’t imagine it hindering the exhaust...
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 that pipe for the evac is 7/8 , that exhaust tube looks to be 2.5" , so you are blocking about 25% of the flow.
scotty162 actually it’s a 3” collector (9.42 sq inches)and the pipe only takes up 1 sq inch... in my opinion as many racers before me is the benefit of crank case ventilation out weighs the minor obstruction in the exhaust flow...
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 sounds like a winner 🏆
that's a 4.3 V6 small block right?
Is there any updates to this video?
I haven’t formally tested them SS in a vacuum test but, they seem to work… haven’t had any oil leaks
I am getting ready to install the 2” x3-1/2 headers on my truck. I wanted to run side exhaust but the cab mount is obstructing the path. I have already cut driver side out and plan to move the mount to the top of the frame to make room for 4” side pipes tucked into rocker panels. I’m also debating running the turn outs through the bed side in front of the tires .
Have you seen if they pull vacuum when you pull the breathers???
Is there a certain depth to mount them in the exhaust?? Thanks!
