Its a mandrel bent 3" system from Torque Tech, the mufflers are flowmaster Delta Flow 3 chamber. It was tough to fit under the car, but with cutting and welding, it fits clean. Ive used 10 GM crate motors, and have been happy with all of them, except that they have too small of camshafts.
Incase you wondered, 60mph is 4000rpms, at the racetrack, shifting each gear at 6600, and you cross the finish line at 6800. Sounds like its geared just right to me.
What kind of rear suspension is in the car because the weight transfer is beautiful I would really like to know sick car btw ... I got a 72 nova just wrapping up a 4 link build.
I have the same car. 72 nova 4.56 with a 26 inch slick. 327 all iron. 3500 converter that flashes abit before 4000. it lifts both front wheels when i let off brake. both about 2 inches. car runs 11.58-11.78 @ 115-117 mph. just a street car. check my video. motor is stock small journal 327 with high compression pistons and rollor cam setup. nothing special, the cam is designed to run with a blower. has 150 psi compression, the opposite of a tork motor. all hight end :P . the motor still has the original 1962 tiny little connecting rods
Well to start, my dad builds rearends for a living. We have 14 cars to drive so we dont care. Fun is fun. Check out the "2002 Trans Am Firehawk with 4.30 gears" video. You can do 142 in 5th gear and you can accelerate in 6th gear, how fast do you wanna go? Its fun getting 5 gears of rubber out of a totally stock car.
dont fear the gear al3id, gears arent that bad so what a few thousand rpms higher cruise speed thats what you need when you got a nice cam and some heads that flow
hey man...love the car....i want to put 4.56s in an Iroc Z...what is your opinion on them.....i have an over drive also......what is your top out mph.....thanks man
with 4.56's and th350=no long distance highway driving. I bet from stop light to stop light lots of fun though. my 68 impala 496 smokes the tires easily with 3.36 gears plus I can ride up and down the highway.
I have a 12 second 4 speed '67 Nova that I'm running with Hoosier Quick Time Pros. They work great, I would recommend those over a radial for a stick car since they wrinkle. My dad also runs them on his high 8 second '66 Nova and they seem to work well with that too.
Thank you for the response, but I am seeing that the Hoosier is a track only tire. I need a street/strip drag radial seeing as how my car sees a lot of street time on the weekends to shows and daily cruise-ins. I have yet to take my Nova to a track and don't see it happening any time soon. Just want something more sticky than the Cooper radials I have on it now. Once again thank you
@@helocoastie8274 I have nitto drag radials on the back of mine 27560R15 they are awesome! 72 nova ZZ430,Th350 3.73 rear!hope mine would run in the 12s it runs and sounds very similar to this one!
i have a question for you i have a big block 496 i just put together with a procharger its putting out about 950 at the crank its going into a 4400 pound impala im thinking about putting a 4.56 gear in it now with a 28 inch tall tire is that to much gear for the street for that type of setup or do i need something like at 3.73 a gear thats good all around with that type of tire?
You. Had me until the major BS in the description of 2 ft wheelies….that’s not happening on an 11.84 car..where are your wheelie bars ace? What was the DA when you ran 11.84 ?

Sweet ride! It only took 11 years for me to see this.
Same!
It took me 13 years.

@marcuskicker Dont put a 4.56 in any car that you drive on the freeway unless you have a t-56.

Brian Samuels well of course it does but you ain’t gonna run no 11’s with that setup chief
Nice NOVA....I have a 72 with a new ZZ454, Tremec TKO 500.......I need drag radials. What tire are you running?

are you running a trans brake or was that just a neutral drop?
nice
i am building a 74 nova with a th350 and 3.73s with posi what do you think i will be running down the highway?? at lets say 70...?
Depends on rear tire diameter. I'd say around 3,300 rpms @ 70mph
Your Chevelle doesnt look like its going anywhere yet lol.
great chase car a fucken buick century
What was the chase car?
sergsrt8 Supercharged Regal was the chase car

These questions always make me laugh, you “put” together a 496 with forced induction but have no idea about gear ratios? Always have me smh
@@maximumhardcore4362 🤣🤣🤣 yeah
Get those vinyl numbers out of the back window. People look like idiots when they have those when driving on the street.

he has the videos to prove it lol easy to find
@@KingJT80 Oh really? That it won’t be hard for you to link it then 😂
why would we rip them off and put new ones on every week? That would be stupid.
ZZ315 you mean
aint no 315Hp running 11s lol
how much would your dad charge to build me a 4.11 rearend?
I drive a 10 second bike on the street daily. Whats the big deal?
Your gonna need a faster chase car
No more stupid than looking like "Rickey Racer" in front of everyone.
2ft wheelies on an 11.84? Not buying that.
2" lift yes it can
2” is two inches 2’ is two feet….
Thats not true
11 seconds? Bwaaahahaha

I drove it to a car show that was 40 miles round trip once (mainly highway) and used up 8.5 gallons of gas lol
Hagen Racing lol get a gear vendors overdrive. I just did
