man you have inspired and motivated me to try many tricks on my wakeboard, you've boosted my confidence up so much to try harder tricks, thanks david 💪
David OC! Hey man I know this is an old vid, but I love it. I love how really skilled riders, such as yourself, get a huge stoke when someone learns something new no matter the complexity! I was able to ride with Chad Sharpe in the boat a few years ago and I landed a tantrum, (one of my few tricks) and he was stoked by it. I love this sport because of that! Everyone is just awesome to be around!
I'm interested in your technique for driving the boat while learning new tricks. Like slowing the boat down mid trick. Maybe you can do an instructional vid?
Ryan, sweet. Yeah I think that's a good idea to do a video on that. I'm not sure when 'll next be on the boat, but I'll try get it done. Danish0026, not doing it on purpose. It releases the tension a bit, and also makes the landing softer when you're first learning something
Awesome video. I like watching others learn new tricks and your coaching, Your videos continue to be awesome! Miss them when they are not posted more regularly. Good luck. Be Safe.
Great video, with some really good slow mo! I can safely say slowing the boat down and going one wake for your first inverts/learning big new tricks is a great idea, I've just nailed my first tantrum doing just that for many many sets! 👍👍
Ah Sorry John. I thought it was appropriate as I explain that slowing the boat down can make any crashes less scary and easier on the body. Sorry you're not stoked on it
Another great way to learn new tricks is to have a beer or two beforehand. Helps to get rid of any fear you might have and allows you to fully commit (helped me when I first attempted my backrolls).
thanks Felix. Ehmmmm, for a crow mobe no. But, I would recommend the driver slowing down maybe 2 miles an hour as you take off, and also for a slight turn. So if you are doing it goofy, the driver could turn (a tiny bit) to the left :)
Hello David, I broke my shoulder at my CablePark last week trying to land a 360 (see, i'm kind of a champion myself), I'm planning to ride in 2 months (that's what the doc says) and would like to know if there is a way to prevent injuries, like knowing how to fall ? Or is it just a mix of bad luck and overtraining. Thanks lad
Hey bro. So sorry to hear about your shoulder. I hope it heels quickly!! It's a tricky one. For the most part it's due to bad luck. But you learn to know when you're going to fall a bit with experience. Unfrotantely not secret (that I know of)
Mate you make it look so easy that's incredible! Love watching your videos pal! Can you place a big up for French riders when you're up in the air in a tantrum? :-D
Awesome video! It'd be great to see more of the progression and coaching of the people you're working with! It is nice to see situations where other people are making mistakes, and then your advice on how to fix it! Just an idea to help spread some of your awesome knowledge! Thanks for the quality content! Also, are Bel Airs not good enough any more?!
hahah the whirly on the roller is a good one now lol! But yeah, I completely get you. I would love to do that. it's a bit challenging as I don't want to be filming in peoples faces when I'm coaching. But I'll try figure it out :)

Ryan Parsley yeah I would definitely be interested in this. do you just slow down when they start to cut? and to what speed?
Pretty sure they were just slowing down because the lake came to an end, that why he turned just afterwards? Could be wrong but thats what i thought

Cool clip! Would you recommend the one-wake-and-slow-down approach as well for learning a Crowmobe?
