coming from a country that's being crushed between the hammer and the Anvil of war for years now.. losing friends, family members and places with memories would become a daily routine.. it all in the end makes you numb, and you reach a point where you just can't get emotional about anything anymore . then somehow you end up listening to this amazing cover, the voice just soothes your soul, you feel the lyrics in a way you never felt before, you shed a couple of tears.. and then you know that there's still beauty in this world... you start feeling again. thanks a lot for your amazing passion and talent.. I did enjoy every note you sang.
Oh Sara, you really know how to live inside the lyric. Reflection, introspection, passion and tenderness were the emotions driving John’s haunting masterpiece of devotion. You have done more than capture those feelings… you own them. With a gentle sensitivity that at times is like a supple breeze… a mere whisper; you tell the tale of love with honesty and affection. And you are not alone for Snuffy knows those emotions as well and captures the sincerity. His interpretation of the George Martin’s solo bridge is a beautiful and poignant companion to your enchanting soulful intonations. This has to be one the most open and heartfelt Beatles covers I’ve ever heard… simply beautiful. Thank you.
A truly great song and probably my favourite Beetles composition but the this cover and rendition by Sara surpasses all else, simply brilliant. My wife is terminally ill and this song says so much to me and brings a tear to my eye. Thank you Sara.
When you nearly whisper the final "I love you more" you've captured the intimacy at the core of that song. Tens of thousands of people watching, but you were singing to me alone. I've been listening to you all day, and in the place I live there is so little good news, but then this voice, this voice. The music lives in you, Sara, and whether you're aware of it or not, you lift us up. With love and admiration from Ukraine.
Beautiful rendition of this gorgeous Beatles' song. It always brings a tear to my eye. I've seen Sara a few times with Pomplamoose and know she has a wicked sense of humour. Sara has a lovely voice and Walden's guitar is excellent.
. . ....and Snuffy found some delicate notes for an angel sing to, and she sang so beautifully that George's spirit came and listened. Then the spirit of three shared their delicate passion for life and love. So beautifully their soft music flowed. And in this moment I remembered and cried, but mostly because this was so awesome and beautiful and passionate music. Snuffy, Sara .. as beautiful as could be, perfect.
Watched this point of light evolve for more than a decade... into the most nuanced, captivating, and seasoned vocalist on the planet. Everything she touches now... she knocks out of the park. World take notice.
I'm tough as a rock, but I realize I'm just a rock of ice melting in discreet tears when I listen to your rendition of "In my life", Sara. Thank you, Girl.
Sara, I was 12 years old and playing at a friend's house when his older sister bought home the Beatles new single "I Feel Fine". If I'd ever heard the Beatles music prior to that day it hadn't registered but by the end of that wet, windy afternoon I had fallen in love with them. I collected everything they put out, saw them play live, was devastated when they broke up and carried the hope of a reunion for a decade until John Lennon was murdered. In the 55 years since I was first aware of them I've liked plenty of other music but none of it has had the impact on me that their music did. I've also seen and heard a lot of bands and singers (some of them big names) cover their music in that time and very little of it has touched me as deeply as your cover of In My Life just did. I don't often comment on videos but just wanted to tell you how amazing I thought your performance was and how much I loved hearing your voice. I see your cover of God Only Knows on my "up next" list so I'll be heading there next. Thank you for this beautiful cover.
How I love to hear Sarah sing. In her voice is heard children's sincerity and youthful purity. The sun rays are played with beautiful butterflies. He gives hope. How nice it is that Sarah sings for us!))
I love these old songs that you put your "Sara spin" on. Some of us are from those old times (I'm 68 years old), so these songs that young folk might not remember mean more to us old schoolers. Thanks! ♥
There must be something wrong in my life because I've never heard you before , this is my first . and OM......G . You are a very special person whom has the ability to help change the world .
Such a beautiful cover. You have hit on the head many of the nuance's of this georgeous song so many have missed, especially the guitar. I can't thank you enough.
Another delicately and beautifully covered Beatles classic. Perfect synthesis of Snuffy and your considerable gifts. I'll be sitting in the DMV this morning and this will be welcome relief.
I often think that some cover versions make the original band cringe and suffer when songs are rendered badly. With you and the wonderfull Snuffy I think they are listesting from their cloud and applaud you and are very proud of a cover worthy of this song which is one of their greatest.
Probably my favorite Beatles song of all time. I think the Fab Four would be more than proud of this. Thank you for making my day that much brighter Sara and Mr. Walden!
like always you knocked this one out of the park Sara. what a beautiful way to wake up and hear you first thing. you already know you are my star and you just keep shining so bright. beautiful job my beautiful friend...... luv ya. :):):)
Tú voz, está canción y este invierno en Argentina, son una gran combinación para cerrar los ojos y soñar, como siempre, besos y gracias por tu arte Sara
It's great to hear singers like you...pay tribute to "Beatles masterpieces." Very, very touching...thank you from a 64 yr. old Beatles fan. You are a " new discovery with me." Keep up with your great work.
So excellent. Both you and Snuffy, pure perfection. And one of my favorite Beatles songs. First album I bought was the Beatles' Revolver and many more followed. In those days the new albums were released at the local record store at midnight. It was a big event in our small town. But today we have the privilege of being introduced to artists such as yourself, through so many more outlets. Good times to live in.
I heard George Harrison (yes George, not John) sing this in 1974. He dedicated it to his "good friend, Johnny Lennon". Thanks for bringing back the memory! Great job as always.
Uh WOW. . . you left me . . . WOW. This moves me deep inside. You sing from your heart and you bring these lyrics and this song to a whole new level with this. The heart space language is the most powerfull way of speaking and singing. It heals. Deeply. And you heal. I feel it. I am a 'heart talk' woman too. And so the connection is made. - THANK YOU. I love the Beatles and their work so much ! THANK YOU for THIS BEAUTY.FULL piece !
Sara, when Bette Middler sang "In My Life" in her movie "For the Boys" I was moved to tears, as I was when I heard your version. You have a truly incredible gift that so few singers seem to posess. You feel and just naturally know how to share your heart. In my mind, you are among the true greats, right up there with Barbra and Bette. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Oh, gosh. Don't get me wrong, Sara. I love, and with all my heart, frankly, adore all your songs. But when you touch, you cover certain songs and enter a certain realm, in this case a Beatles classic, you really transcend reality. You rise to heaven. You really have what it takes to honour Beatles, and at the same time shape the song into your own style. As always, I thank you for the effort and heart you two invested in making this cover. Keep it up!
It just doesn't get any better than this. I nearly stood up and applauded at the end of the video. The combination of Sara's voice and the exquisite skill of Mr Walden on the guitar make me think of a line from Hunter S Thompson. " All my life, my heart has sought a thing I cannot name. a remembered line from a long forgotten poem." Well, you can find it here.
This song by Sara Niemietz and Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley are the two most devastating songs I have ever heard. I cry every time I hear this simply for the pure, raw emotion. "Brilliant" is not enough praise for this.
This has quickly become my favourite Sara cover, and there are lots more in my list of favourites. Beautiful vocals and guitar. I count myself lucky to be one of the 1k who 'liked' this version, and I cannot understand why there are so few, boy, are they missing out!
Sara is a natural and so full of an engaging personality and cuteness and Snuffy is genius. I've been a fan of Snuffy Walden every since I first saw him play The Whisky in the early 70s. The two together are just brilliant.
Growing up the same time as the Beatle Playing was Special You Chose a Great Song Sara, Loved your Style of Singing it, That was Very Special also. You Sure are a Wonderful Singer of Many Songs, Styles & Genre Loved it Sara
My hats off to you young lady. You gave this classic the same emotion Lennon gave it back when. I just had Deja Vu of my adolescense. Your ending gave me chills
*_I think I love your Beatles covers the most. It seems you genuinely love them so you pour more than your heart and soul into the song, you also seem to sprinkle in your admiration for the Beatles. What I mean by this is look at your face at_**_1:43_**_. Your eyes are ablaze with focus and dedication to get every lyric right as well as keeping your passionate voice in the notes whole heartily. I wuv it, so please never stop. :D P.S. tell Snuffy he's the man with that acoustic heh._*

So beauty.fully spoken ! Agree
WELL SAID 100% agreed
Slowed down is the only way to try to honor this gem. How 95 people gave it thumbs down I’ll never understand
Nor i
Fools.
Nice. But the thumbs down - is because some songs have become almost too iconic..... almost off limits. Worthy effort.
Some people don't like slow versions of faster songs
Apparently they are not musicians, and don't understand, superb phrasing, unbelievable feel, and total musicianship at its best.
A truly great song and probably my favourite Beetles composition but the this cover and rendition by Sara surpasses all else, simply brilliant. My wife is terminally ill and this song says so much to me and brings a tear to my eye. Thank you Sara.

Wow! Thank you so much! Love to Ukraine!
Hey Sara and Walden, you guys have no right to render a song ten times better than the original... wow! Best version of this beautiful song.
I was thinking the same thing. Finally the genius revealed
It's perfect, as a beatles fan I loved it a lot! Congrats, and Happy Birthday Sara!
Beautiful rendition of this gorgeous Beatles' song. It always brings a tear to my eye. I've seen Sara a few times with Pomplamoose and know she has a wicked sense of humour. Sara has a lovely voice and Walden's guitar is excellent.
I have heard this song many times...not till this person dedicated this song for me that i realized how much i was loved.❤

I got goosebumps listening to this, a beautiful voice and perfect guitar cover totally beautiful.
One of my favorite Beatles songs. My mother used to sing it to me when I was a kid... all those long years ago in the 80’s.
Beautifully done
Beautiful, I could really feel the meaning of the lyrics. The guitar accompaniment was superb too!
This has always been one of my favorite Beatles song since it first came out. Your cover does it justice. It is now one of my favorite covers by you!
It took literally 5 seconds for me to get goosebumps from this performance...... Amazing as always guys!
I love these old songs that you put your "Sara spin" on. Some of us are from those old times (I'm 68 years old), so these songs that young folk might not remember mean more to us old schoolers. Thanks! ♥

The Beatles recorded In My Life between Oct. 18 and Oct. 22, 1965. Lennon was born on October 9, 1940. He was 25. Imagine.
Probably my favorite Beatles song of all time. I think the Fab Four would be more than proud of this. Thank you for making my day that much brighter Sara and Mr. Walden!
It's a brilliant one. Wow you think? That means a lot Thanks!

Ich liebe das Lied und ebenso ihre einfühlsame , herzzerreißende Interpretation davon. Kompliment, sehr gut gemacht. Alles gute Peter
Absolutely amazing. The best voice ive recently heard. Stunning guitar.
I heard George Harrison (yes George, not John) sing this in 1974. He dedicated it to his "good friend, Johnny Lennon". Thanks for bringing back the memory! Great job as always.
i had the bootleg in 1974, it sounded terrible and he changed it to jesus words, his voice was shot, such a pity
This has to be the best Beatles cover song
Of in my life
Beautiful rendition! Snuffy so great to see you! A long way from 1973 but still ride my Chevrolet!
Added to my funeral playlist! ❤
No song compares with this absolute masterpiece, filled with pathos and beauty.
Merci pour ce grand moment qui a traversé l’Atlantique et nos cœurs
