Very grateful for Greg. And Michael. I've seen the darkest sides of the Star Wars fandom over the last 15 or so years on the Internet, and these boys are the epitome of the light side of it. It is absolutely something else to be able to enjoy a part of the Star Wars community that tries so hard to avoid just outright aggression and hate and then episodes like this where the lads just feel like mates, it's awesome. Keep being you.

The sensitivity in this episode and the topics spoken about really reached to me personally and i'm sure many others.
We all use something for escapism, but ultimately reality comes back to face you and often in unexpected ways.
It's important in how you approach or seek help to work on it before you spiral; facing personal demons and feelings is so important and typically a personal journey, while at the time it may feel like a low point, but once you come out on the other side you'll look back on that experience as an important turning point for self growth, healing and development.
Taking the time out to have that space, reaching out and speaking about it to a therapist or friend is one thing.
To open up on a platform such as this takes a great deal of courage and heart, something of which is incredibly important and will have helped many people listening in ways you may not know.
Michael, Gregg and to all the Rexin Around Crew, you have a beautiful and inspiring stance on life keeping it 100 percent real and making us all try to be better humans.
May the Force be with you guys, always.

her line “in the end, we all choose sides” resonated with me, because if you stay “neutral” in a two sided civil war, you’ve already chosen the side of the oppressor aka the empire.
edit to add: i’m very grateful for growing up watching people who get in touch with emotions as a young girl, being able to start my journey in the earlier stages of my life, so ty for being open and honest :) that shits hard man, keep going

The moment where Michael actually did go back and edit in him saying what he said he said killed me 😂 also did the rexin around show just “grow up”? Love that you guys are sharing the fact that you’re both multifaceted REAL people, and not just here for our entertainment. I know that it’s this podcast and this podcast alone that encouraged me to become more active in the star wars community. More openly sharing my love of Star Wars has been a great experience, and I’ve been blown away by how many people around me are open to it and enjoy it. So I guess I’m saying thank you for you guys just being you guys. And for being real.

  • @R23OWL

Hey, I've been a long time silent fan of you guys for a minute now, and, I've never commented or anything as I rarely do on any form of content, but I just felt like I needed to let you know that this video, really like, I get it. It really hit home and made me feel a little better about myself, I usually tend to just push problems to one side in my brain and try to forget about them instead of trying to deal with them. I understand now that that's kinda okay, but I need to start a journey to better myself and deal with things instead of hiding.
The one that rang most true to me is the content burnout thing. I make videos myself and I totally understand where you guys are coming from when you say, who am I doing this for. That's something I haven't been able to find the answer for for a while. Why do I make the videos I make, at first, it was to try and grow a channel and to try make some sort of living out of it as I felt like it was the only thing I was passionate about and the only thing I was actually good at. And I still do feel that way, but, I started to grow tried of the hustle of making videos, trying to put out quality content that I'm happy with, as well as working a full time job and keeping a social life is difficult.
I've learnt that, I'm never gonna be the big content creator I wanted to be, and to just embrace the small community I made. I need to move forward from wanting clout, to just wanting to do things at my own pace and not stress about keeping my subscribers happy or keeping the algorithm happy.
I'm sorry for just kind of spilling a whole bunch of words in a comment on here, and honestly, they probably don't even make sense, but I just wanted to say thank you for talking about the things you did in the podcast, as it has helped me realise a lot of things for myself.
I hope this comment found you well, and one last thing, where can I go to leave you a 5* review? What site is it at, because I feel like I owe you one! Thank (:

I really appreciate the vulnerability of this weeks podcast… we all have our demons and it’s so nice to see other people who are experiencing what we do often want to hide. I literally disappeared from the discord because I’ve been in my own mental health “experience” and to be honest, socializing is scary, but it’s so comforting to know that the people I look up to go through the same struggles of a random 19 year old college student from a whole different part of the country. 💙 (oh and happy birthday Greg!)

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREG!!!
This was a pretty special episode and I'm so glad you guys do what you do. You're so much more than just another Star Wars channel, you're relatable. I totally empathize with what you're going through Greg, because I'm in a similar boat too, and it's rough. I watched the Bo Burnham special with my mom, thinking it'd be a fun comedy show we could laugh with together. I didn't know it would be SO deeply relatable and it would be a way for me to explain to my mom how I feel and what it's like being my age.

I'm cool with the prolonged Wrecker head thing. I like it. Sure we know where it's going, but for people who like suspense and new people who aren't familiar with CW and the chip, it stresses the point and the pain of losing soft boi Wrecker
And we have multiple seasons for TBB so they don't have to rush like with a few episodes of CW season 7

Quality over quantity.... Which is what we find in you both. Wearing the mask of happiness will always bear a heavy weight, we become shackled by the constant need to prove our worth to those who don't always deserve it...I won't pretend to know where happiness lives.... But i like to think that even while in pain, being surrounded by those who love you is a place we can finally feel free. Or at least free enough to begin looking for the key to break away from the things we bind ourselves with. Love ya bro @gogettergreg

I loved this episode. Talking it out with us is way better than keeping it in.
Michael, you gotta learn to cry. I was like you for over a decade at one point, and once I allowed myself to let go (I let it hit during a movie, it can be as small of a step as that ) has allowed me to fully experience life by not shutting that option out. It isn't any kind of weakness, it is something to embrace (I know that you are aware of it, and don't consider it a weakness, but something is shutting that emotional door, so see if someone's ancient manly ideals are still holding on).
I love that this podcast can go to this place, and even though I am an optimist and rarely depressed, I was so happy to be along for this ride. I wanted to hear it. It felt like some good friends sharing a beer in a quiet pub and opening up in an intimate and supportive way. Greg's feelings are super important to all of us, and I want him to feel like if he is having a bad day (or month, or year), we are the people he can tell, and we will be proud to know he could share where his head is at. The best of Star Wars is nothing without emotion, so Greg, this is what we are here for.

Hey guys. This might be my favorite episode yet. As someone who just officially got diagnosed with bipolar depression (I’m being open because I know this community is a safe one) hearing you guys talk about this issue really means a lot to me. I’ve been praying a lot but hearing people I look up to talk about something so deep and so relatable gives me a lot of hope in my own future. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I really appreciate you two being so open about how you guys are genuinely feeling. I know I speak for a lot of people when I say it's just nice to know that we're not alone in feeling these same things. Not that I'm thankful that we're all going through really crappy things, but listening to people that I look up to on how I want to carry myself talk about their struggle, that I too am feeling, means that I'm not too far away from being where I want to be, that I'm not striving for perfection, a benchmark that's impossible to reach. Since I've met you guys, I've considered the two of you friends, and growing with you guys through this podcast/Discord/Twitch has been quite a pleasure, a true bright spot in my life. You guys might not even see this in the sea of positive affirmation, but what you guys put out there for people, regardless of low little Star Wars is actually involved, is very appreciated and helps us grow more than you guys could ever know. Thank you guys!

finally got around to listening to this episode. I really love the open discussion about mental health. I think a lot of people brush their mental health to the side, I did that for years. Eventually, you have to come to terms with it and do what's best for your mental health. The discussion today is admirable, and I think will help a lot of people in the long run. Crying in the shower is okay, I've been there. Also, Trace and Rafa are damn good characters, I'm with you on the stan train. Keep doing what you're doing, you make a bigger difference than you might think. Cheers 🍻

Greg, I applaud your courage to talk about these things in an open forum like this podcast. Brother hang in there and know KNOW that you are not alone. The Rexin Around show was a huge booster to my mental health since the pandemic began and a HUGE part of that was you. Sure I love laughing at Michael’s goofyness but you always kept things real. I strongly identify with you sir. As someone who has and continues to struggle with mental issues I feel you. I always put others first to the detriment of myself and I don’t know how to stop for fear of letting others down.
Your openness had me in tears on this cast. Know that I do not think of you as a sidekick and that I have great love for you and what you do. Stay strong and know that we love you for you sir.

Happy Birthday Greg!! I appreciate everything you do for the community with the discord and just being a happy, positive place to come and love star wars. I found you guys during the beginning of the pandemic and I can honestly say this show helped me so much in that time. I watch every episode as soon as it comes out, even if I don't always remember to comment.
I'd love to come to a meet up, but I live in Canada and can't afford travel :(
I kind of hope Trace and Raffa's contact isn't Ahsoka, because I think it would be interesting and sad if, to keep her safe from the Empire, Rex and Ahsoka are letting people think she is dead. Then Raffa being kind of snappy at the Bad Batch this episode has an added bit of context, because she thinks clones killed her friend. That probably isn't going to be the route they go, but I think it would be cool and sad.

We ❤️ greg and the content you create. You put joy in Star Wars community. Sw theory may be more “popular” but is it content you would want to make? I don’t think so. You guys are equally awesome, what makes the show is your beautiful friendship. Also hannah gadsby had a similar reaction for me

I have been watching this show for over a year and I would say I have to disagree with the idea that Greg is in Michael's shadow. From my perspective, Greg is a prominent member of the show and without him it would be very different. In my mind, if you're in someone's shadow and you leave, people won't notice because they'll be focusing on the guy casting the shadow; however, and I know I speak for everyone, if Greg were to leave this show, he would be greatly missed and the dynamic would be very odd. That's why Greg is not in Michael's shadow. Greg is respected, loved, unique and so important.

Thank you for this. Sometimes we definitely get lost in our own perspective and that’s where I currently am, but I’m working on it ❤️
