Here's the latest in Helldivers 2 News!
New posts are surfacing showing that the 177 countries that were delisted still have not reappeared. Also, the disclosures on the Steam site have still not been changed. Did Sony lie to get the negative bomb to stop? We still don't know! We failed the Major Order, but have a brand new kill-count Major Order, and we are again taking on the Automatons. The recent Warbond was a polarizing piece of content, and the Helldiver community continues to post their displeasure with the new gear and weapons.

Your logic didn't make much sense. It would be contradictory to get AH to require PSN to unlock those countries, since the whole reason those countries are locked, is because they can't have PSN. The one reason to keep those countries locks IS because they still plan to enforce PSN, which would preclude selling to those countries.
The spawns are very high it's very hard to solo 4 and 5 Idk if it's possible to do anything above those I at least can't

I don't believe Sony is lying. I think what's happening is that they are probably trying to implement PSN in as many of those 177 countries as possible. People keep getting this wrong, but it wasn't Sony that pulled the games from those countries, it was Steam. Why? Because they could be held legally responsible, by association, to selling a game that should not be in countries that don't have PSN should consumers decide to sue. For Sony's part, their possible implementation of PSN in those countries will take likely take a lot of time, especially with it being in their TOS. They'll likely have to get their legal department involved to see if it is even legally safe to change their TOS without risk of getting nailed with a class-actiton (which I think should happen).
You're asking for balance in a game the developer does not want a meta in. You will never have any balance and will just use what ever weapon can do the job until it's nerfed then onto the next.
So it turns out that a lead dev for Hello Neighbor 2 is the lead balance dev for Helldivers 2. This is the same dev who nerfed all the fun out of Hello Neighbor 2.

I’m hoping we’re able to identify the traitors in the weapon manufacturing plants that are messing with the weapons. The latest shipments arrive with half the bullets in each clip, less quality bullets (leading to less damage) and a lot of other problems causing poor delivery of Democracy.

These guys are not broke, and most of these guys supported and crafted this entire industry, and the msg is going to get louder and louder. We have had enough. Trust me when indie games blow up like arrowhead because they didn't follow triple A title, and become one and the same the support can die as quickly as it rose.

We also need them to stop doing random defense missions off major order too. We lost 3 sectors and failed the major order in the past week.
According to the list, I shouldn't be able to play. I'm in Japan, which is always on the list, but I play daily.
Those players are never coming back. The Steam refund is so no one can sue.

As of 4 hours ago, they added Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. It is now restricted in 180 regions
Solo only player here. Solo socks and is damn near not fun. I had a 50 to 60% extraction rate with all primary and secondary objectives complete playing at tier 7. That rate has dropped to 30%, with complete wipes starting to crop up on blitz missions. I'm now working on my game backlog, Everspace 2, and will see how it looks in June.

HD2 isn't a game designed for solo play. You can do it, but you take a significant risk and additional frustration with no benefit. I get the desire to control your experience, but this may not be the game for that.

I don't understand why they need balance and nerfs for a PvE game. I don't want the game to be to easy. But nuking the weapons is stupid, and just piss people off.
Most nerfs are minor and every patch has more buffs than nerfs
Balance wise : warframe in 2014-2015 is a very different game to around 2019+
@@honorguard7616 Sure, the nerfs might not be world changing, but couple that to the buffs they give the enemies and suddenly the spread grows. Looking at the nerfs in a vacuum makes them seem insignificant, looking at them in the context of the entirety of the game and suddenly they're not so insignificant.
Mostly to make every option feel viable and to create a certain experience. If Helldive difficulty was super easy, that would be boring.
Also, nerfs are good, if done right. Otherwise you would only increase numbers and suddenly you have damage (and enemy health) numbers in the tens of thousands or more and it would just be stupid.
So nerfs in general aren't a bad thing. It's just that they are applied a bit too much right now. Although my experience right now is that the game is in the right spot in terms of difficulty. Just, some weapons are useless, while others are almost mandatory.
@@----.__ Looking at the patches as a whole afew have adjusted the enemies, but this is both Positively (Flame damage increase in general one) and negatively (Flamer hulk nerfs, a deal of the heavy weight threats being swapped out for more medium and such (Medium weight I am not saying is inheriantly less dangerous, but is easier to deal with by more weapons, which have been getting buffed as well)
I am not looking at the Buffs & such on their own, game still feels good to play (Even with randoms assuming they aren't trying to grief)
@@honorguard7616 Certainly true, the game still feels good at times, but I've had more games where it just feels like an exercise in futility rather than rewarding tactics and skill. At times it just feels like the game says "no, you're not making it out of this one, no matter what you do" and this occurs even on 7, let alone 9. I know some people say "get gud" and that's a reductive statement in and of itself. I've been gaming since the C64 days, I game a couple of dozen hours a week still, have 500+ hours in HD2. It wouldn't matter how "gud" someone was when the game decides to just let all Hell break loose. If that is working as intended then so be it, but my understanding is that with smart play and accurate shots - we should be able to extract with some effort. But there's games where it's just a continual zerg rush of fk-you quantities of enemies!

One of my buddies who's a level 51 player routinely jumps into lower level matches to help lower level players. He was commenting earlier this week that it feels like things have gotten significantly harder on those lower level dives. Talking about players basically getting fully wiped repetitively. They suggest to them there patch notes.
I haven’t seen that with the new players I play with. On easy and medium, there might be a few more enemies, but it’s nothing like what you describe
I was in a difficulty 6 mission the other day and it felt like a 9. I don't know if it was the enemy spawns or what, but it was wild.

I do this often to help helldivers get to higher difficulties. I have been noticing it being a lot harder than when I did it my first time around. I get them making the 7-9 harder but everything before is gonna make new players shy away from the game. Specially if they're a low level and haven't gotten good strats yet
It's because they CANNOT stop nerfing weapons and keep BUFFING TF outta the enemies. I quit because I'm sick of the up and down shit, they've had plenty of time to figure out the perfect balance but NO, Everytime they add a new major order they gotta buff enemies (who are already strong). I'm over the micro managing shit they pull.

I use the railgun to 1 shots hulks. Its pretty fkn good, damn more reliable than the quazar to do this. I take it if we already have a quazar, or I just take EATs in addition to railgun.

It hasnt been the same game since… all the extra big enemies we get would have been perfect, the railgun was FUN to use. Not OP, it still required good aim and keeping yourself clear of the fodder enemies to line up the shot. Still took many shots to kill a titan, but was able to fill the role of a weapon we needed in being able to kill the medium/heavy enemies effectively. They brought the slugger to a state where it could kind of fill this role because it could stagger the bile spewers, but its fire rate and the fact you needed precision to be effective at killing the fodder enemies kept you vulnerable to being overwhelmed. Then, they seemed to overnight take away all options we had to effectively keep the spewers at bay, and i found myself not only being overrun by fodder enemies, but even if i was able to clear the horde i would get 1 shot by a spewer. The game went from being fun to frustrating. On top of the fact that “use your strategems to kill the big enemies” gets nerfed by a bullshit 100% extra cooldown modifier, or the call-in time being extended, we are left with too many large enemies where i run out of rail cannon strikes, my laser is on cooldown for another 2 minutes, my spear wont F***ING LOCK CORRECTLY(or my at’s are on a 2 min cooldown), and my 500kg only seems to cough on a titan that is directly on top of it. And youre telling me the super earth military engineers cant come up with better weapons to defeat THE ENEMIES WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR HOW MANY YEARS? INSTEAD OUR OWN SUPER EARTH ENGINEERS MAKE OUR WEAPONS WORSE BECAUSE THEYRE TOO GOOD AT KILLING THE ENEMIES OF THEIR WORLD? It just doesnt make sense to me.
I'm the author of the Patrol Analyses, Luchs is a close friend of mine and we worked on all of it together.
To your question regarding Party Proximity and how it affects Patrol spawn rates. As we outlined in Part 1 of our analysis, players further than 75 meters from the closest player are considered their own "Player Group" and they have their own Patrol spawn bucket that ticks up with time. Prior to Patch 300, each additional player decreased the amount of Spawn Points that had to be generated for a Patrol to Spawn, this means you get more frequent Patrols with more players. This scaling was applied globally, so it didn't matter if you were split into multiple Player Groups or just a single one, the amount of points required for *a* player group to generate a Patrol was the same.
Now with Patch 300, they completely removed the Player Scaling component entirely. This means that regardless of how many players are in game, the threshold is identical and it is set to the 4 player value.
As an example, prior to Patch 300, Level 4 Automatons had the following spawn rates (in seconds) with each column representing an additional player
245/200/180/165
These spawn rates would be used for each player group. So in a 3 man game with a 2/1 split, each of the two player groups would expect a Patrol every 180 seconds.
Post Patch 300, the spawn rate in Level 4 Automatons is just 165 seconds period. Doesn't matter if you're solo, duo, trio or quad, it's always 165 seconds for Level 4 Automatons.

@@sinjin8576 All of the mechanics we previously discovered are still functioning as described, it's just the baseline rates all got shifted to assume 4 players at all times.
That explains a lot. So it's not just solo players that got boned. It's everyone except 4 diver teams. Holy fajitas. That's all sorts of just bad. What kind of balance is this supposed to be, intoxicated balance? Really ironic given they give the tip "Don't drink and drive" while loading into a mission. Honestly I first read that one as "Don't drink and dive." and I was thinking, well certain content creators and streamers are f*cked.
Thanks for your in depth research and thank goodness Sony didn't get their way with the PSN accounts. If you're doing research I doubt you're playing the game "as intended" and the weird system that Sony's described for their auto reporting mechanic makes it sound like you'd be reported for doing just that.
I jumped into a Solo lvl 4 mission last night. I was getting steamrolled by 5 chargers at once. Ungodly hoard thats impossible to do solo. This was a level 4 mission. I have soloed lvl 5 and 6 missions in the past. Very challenging, but possible. But now I can't even complete a lvl 4 mission solo. Its impossible. Wtf did they do
Increased solo spawns by over 50%, they said this spawn rate is how it should have been at launch 🤦♀️🤦♀️ devs are a mess
They legit made the game harder the less divers you go into a mission with now, with one of the recent patches.
I also think I saw an article that stated they found that the spawns are rated for 4 players when you solo. They said they were fixing that but who knows when it will be fixed. They definitely don't like solo players. It used to be fun to play on solo but now am I can't beat the bugs solo on the same level as you. I used to have a good challenge on level 6 but about the time they changed the rail gun specs they also changed the health and numbers of the bugs. The same happened for the machines. It used to be manageable but now the rockets and flamethrower kill people instantly so now I can't even solo the machines anymore on harder difficulties. I understand I am not the best player but I consider myself a better than average player and now I feel like an old grandpa and it is taking the fun out of playing. Below level 4 is to easy while 4-6 are now to hard for solo.

Yeah its probably safe to say most people love this game because its fun, I dont want every weapon to be crazy powerful or anything but fuck stop nerfing every damn thing into the ground. if ya enjoy a weapon ya might as well keep it to yourself or else that shits getting nerfed. its funny the CEO is the one that gives me a bit of faith for the game/company while the CMs usually do the opposite for me,usually its the ceo whos outta touch but not here it seems.
Yeah. I don't play this as a hardcore realistic milsim where every step is supposed to be possibly your last, I want to have fun with friends.
Like Higher difficulties can be challenging as they are. Given just the degree in which the enemy comes at us. Getting ball and chained because our primary guns are awful doesn't feel good in the slightest.
Thats probably why the game is good if you think about it. They have good management for once, using their authority to override idiotic decisions. On top of that, he apparently is not only playing the game, but helps develop it too, so he has experience unlike 99% of CEO's in development teams.
They are just reskinning, changing some numbers, and using the same passives for weapons and armor every warbond. The devs needs to come up with some actual effects onto the gear that reflect the warbond theme because this is getting old pretty quick. Imagine by the end of the year when there is 12 warbonds and they are all like this....
Hopefully they add armor effects to the helmets and capes
I want effects ir boosters that work for stratagems. Like stratagems have more uses or shorter cooldowns

Not all bad in here. Plus, the completionist in me is gonna buy all the warbonds and unluck everything I can - something to work towards.
I think the Pummeler and the impact incendiary grenade are worthy of a warbond weapon but the Tenderizer, Purifier and the new handgun are below mediocre and warbonds cost super credits so that's not acceptable.

People that think this is no big deal, take a look at the numbers. This game is tanking fast. They had to up their server capacity over 800k. The game can't break 200k and at times below 100k playing. And with how pathetic the leadership at AH is and the Sony BS the population is only getting worse.
All dictatorships say they will give you one thing and then give you something completely different.
The fact that those countries still can’t buy the game in their region tells me that sony might try to bring back psn login later on…
I'm going to keep correcting this every time I see it: Valve is the one who pulled the game from those countries. While I am all for blaming Sony for ruining the community, this issue is one that's on Valve's end. We don't really have any info on whether or not Valve is going to reverse this.

@ProfessionalCommentor My point is that Valve got tired of issuing refunds, so they're the ones that pulled it. I'm not even sure if Sony is able to put the game back onto the store for those countries since Valve was originally the one that pulled the game.

I hope the Devs don't take a page from Bungie's book in the regards to Nerfing Weapons and then fixing them later.. Bungie does that with Destiny 2 and then we've got crap guns for weeks on end maybe months until the Devs finally catch up to it and maybe fix it.. Mean while the players move on to the next meta or change their load outs and don't use that gun anymore. We need Devs to be forward thinking, really looking at the damage spreads and be active with their game.. It's easy to just flick a switch and cancel something out and then sideline it.. but that ruins the game experience for us, The Players. I hope this Team does do better, they seem to want to.
Until battle rifles either have larger mag sizes and counts with faster loading times, or double the damage per round they currently do, they will sit on the shelf as c-tier weapons for me all day.... they are useless when co0mpared to the other weaponry available in the game, every single one of them. I can't have a weapon that only does 60 damage with low mag sizes and long reload times... sorry, they are horrible regardless of which one you choose.

@@RenegadePlayingGameswhat? Game routinely hit 178k before the 4th. Now the polar warbond peaked at 125. And normal days barely break 110 with the lows falling below 30k when before they would sit at around 60 or so.

I actually started to lose interest after first nerf patch. Slowly, but gradualy until the PSN drama came. The nerfs absolutely caved any fun I had in game. I asked myself, why should I play this game if I know that next patch may nerf another fun weapon, what if they nerf stratagems next? Nah. Ill pass until something is done. Left discord too because it was just filled with drama and bickering between those few that care for game and asslickers attacking them and calling everyone childlish,nerds and crying children.
i feel that, i was kinda getting to that point before the sony drama, now i get on and i just think, i have other things i can do, i look too see whose fighting what, or how far have we been pushed back then i think, yeah that's good for today.

Patrol spawns are wild now. I can't breathe on Helldive running solo but seem to have moments of R&R when with a full group. It sucks since I used to run solo a lot.
Sony didn't lie. They said the update requiring the PSN logins wasn't going to happen. It didn't happen. They didn't say anything about "We're not going to enforce the login policy." That's why I think the community celebrated this "win" way to early.
If you read that whole post, there is a world of malice and wiggle room carefully written into it. The most insidious part is the ending: “we’re still learning what’s best for the PC community. We will keep you updated on future plans.”

It'd be too reputation damaging and open Sony to lawsuits to try to pull this again on Helldivers 2. Players are right that they're playing the long game, but I don't think players understand what the long game is for Sony, because it's not Helldivers 2. It's preventing a Helldivers 2 scenario on all future releases and making sure those releases require linking from launch.

I feel that the practice for balance should be getting every weapon on the same level as the best in their areas, and not nerfing them all to the level of the worst. You can always make the enemies nastier.

Sony Public Relations managed to stop the bad PR, bad Reviews and Refunds before the upcoming Sony Quarterly Earnings Call.
The only thing it cost them is:
A. A Twitter Post, and
B. Delaying the Mandatory PSN Linking (Unless they post otherwise IN STEAM, this is only a delay).
Too many of the community rewarded them with positive reviews before they actually DID anything that would be permanent in Steam. This would be revoking the 177 regions that are currently blocked to buy the game that was implemented on May 4th, changing the Helldivers 2 Steam Page to show that PSN is OPTIONAL, and posting a news article under the game's Steam News stating that going forward the ability to link a PSN account is optional and only required for PS5 Cross Play.
Until these things are done we as a community was played by Sony Public Relations and we completely fell for it.

The game was at its best at launch and practically every "balance" change that has been made since then has made it less enjoyable. You can argue that it's more balanced now, but it's pretty obvious that people are unhappy with how disempowering gun nerfs and enemy buffs have been and with how many issues continue to go unaddressed months after they first crop up

At launch the only support weapon that was of any value was the railgun every other one was shit.
There's a reason people would kick you from helldive missions if you didn't bring it.
Balance patches now made it most of the support strategems have a thing they work well on and I see much more varied use of them compared to everyone taking the same ones.
This was also true for backpacks with the energy shield outclassing the ballistic shield, the jetpack or the ammopack.
Among primaries the precision weapons were completely useless and outclassed by a shotgun.
The only shotguns that mattered were the slugger and the breaker.
There was no Assult Rifle or Smg worth using at any time.
It was braindead boring seeing people run railguns with shields and breakers.
The game became notably more enjoyable with the railgun nerf and EAT/RR/Flamethrower buffs.

The patch that minorly nerfed the Quasar out made the precision rifles, the plasma shotgun and the blitzer fun to use while improving the RR.
Alongside that the AMR was being buffed through several patches into a competitive choice against for the autocanon for bots.
The laser canon also gained a solid reason for use during this time.

SMG defender was good at the time, along with some other stuff, but people only saw the RG, Breaker, slugger and bubble shield to the point of denying anything else being useful (even if it was useful)
2 billion bots is not gonna happen. They dont spawn in the same number as bugs and a large percentage of players are fixed on only do bug missions
A quick estimate - with 4d17h left (i.e. 7 hours done) we were at 5.something. So, say times 20. Would make it 140 hours. Five days is 120 hours. With that calculation we're short almost a day. OK, I was being pessimistic in my calculation but still, this looks not so good. Maybe the US weekend will help but right now I'm somewhat sceptical.
Player numbers are slowly dwindling. The game has cooked itself and there’s likely no way to restore it to the state it was in last month before all of this went down. That 2B bug kill order was our shot at glory, and there will not be another.
Kusony just banned Ghost of Tsushima in all those countries with no PSN even it is only required for ol multiplayer mode. So either they are shooting themselves again or Valve is gatekeeping. Either way another wave of nagetive review and player loss is coming so no way this MO is gonna be successful.
I wish people would quit complaining about armor effect variety and always getting new content. Yeah it be cool to have more though AH needs to focus on fixing bugs, getting weapons into a stable and usable state, and getting core features fleshed out first. People being annoyed at the underwhelming warbond content isn't the problem. Arrowhead officially stated a while back already they had no intentions of backing off their planned warbond schedule and that the same staff in charge of that is also the team that fixes bugs, ie shoveling out a new warbond on schedule takes priority over fixing the steadily breaking aspects of the game, for what they dubbed as the health of the game longterm.
The message from Sony is VERY sus. They use legal terms and language that sounds like a used car salesman wrote it. They could have easily just said "Helldivers 2 will not ever need a PSN account", but they did not. They danced around the issue, using very "muddy" language, and still have not let those 170 countries back in???
As a solo diver, I can confirm the patrols are overwhelming now. I tried solo level 4 and was still met with back to back patrols. I would kill three meat grinders, just for three more to come in to view. I was wearing the reduced enemy detection and was still faced with back to back waves.

Keep making the game more fun for the ai and worse for the player literally they are doing it backwards. We have helldivers being nerfed to hell and high water and the bugs are being buffed to kingdom come oh yeah the automatons too now they can shoot through walls and at launch they didn’t.

When this game first came out I could do level 9s solo easy and have fun. Now I can’t even do a level 4 mission on stealth because the ai can spot me across the planet and automatically find me no matter where or what I do. And even in 4 player teams the teammates in this game are so fucking toxic everyone is a asshole who just shits on you by teamkilling at end game and who just join then quit after calling you a idiot for existing. About the spawn rates. As a tabletop GM my first thought was that the spawn rates also resived a boost in a lore sense. Super colony of bugs meaning more bugs. Huge fleet of automatons means more bots. Not sure if this is the case but making the patrol sizes to excel format is about effective for the fun aspect as the nerfer guy taking fun out of guns that people enjoy.
Sony better be careful about doubling back on this. That would enter a lot of legal grey areas involving verbal contracts. Lawyers definitely smell blood in the water and will be looking at every aspect of this to make a case for that sweet class action payout.
In regards to Sony still not having reverted the delisting of these countries, i still have my review set as Negative.

AS someone who solo dives i can confirm that there is a lot more patrols then there used to be, also the enemies seem to find me faster no matter how good i hide.
Here's the massive problem with the spawn rate being the same for any number of people. When a squad spreads out without triggering another 'group' to spawn on theyre practically increasing the 'no spawn' zone. So the enemy has a much higher chance of spreading out or spawning away from the already potentially bulky force attacking you, and instantly aggroing. On solo you have no way to increase that. I actually think the spawn radius could be pushed back almost twice as far, making patrols spread out more but with the same enemy count as now. And actually feel manageable. Perhaps instead of cutting out the enemies like they were before, have a larger no spawn zone, achieving just greater ability to avoid them completely. Combat or otherwise. This would also have the effect of, the more players, the LESS effective those OVERLAPPING no spawn zones are.
That way the difficulty by default has the consistency of being the same on every player count like the game is meant to be.

I would normally agree, but I don’t think it matters anymore. Sony got the response they were hoping for and they’re no strangers to backlash. They were just scared of litigation due to the way Steam hit back with the mass refunds and the realization that they’d been openly selling this game in countries that’d have every right to sue them when they forced all the PC players onto PSN. Now they’ve fixed that (3 more countries delisted just today, bringing us to 180 total), and there’s no more cause for them to fear anything that they cannot handle.
If worst comes to worst, they’ll let the game peter out and look to buy out Arrowhead to add to their collection of game dev studios. They already made good money on this venture and now they’ll have a ton of new data from PC gamers to sell off, which is a resource the marketing industry is very interested in.

It happened with D&D and WotC's nasty attempt to curb stomp the OGLA for the sake of profit. well the sony release did say that the may 6th update with PSN reintergration was not going forward , it did not say that PSN mandatory login wasn't gonig forward at all so they didn't lie it was just a matter of wording and how people chose to read it.

The countries/territories that don't have the network... have laws that essentially keep PSN from coming there. Same thing with Microsoft's Xbox Live/GamePass service. Some countries just don't allow it. If a country refuses to allow a service there, then there's nothing a loyal customer can do except buy it on PC (if it ever comes to it) or, god forbid, pirate the game.

Oh thank you for someone see this, as I thought I was going crazy with patrol spawn rate was increase 😮
Im level 100+ and solo helldive almost daily on stream (in Thai) and unlock literally 99% of everything in the game. I can tell you every little sneaky change they tested out around twice a week. Last week they tuned up turning rate of the chargers, but tuned it down this week instead they made charge side stepping (so dodge dive toward them instead of to the 90 degree side). This week I noticed they tuned up impact dmg and explosion dmg by around 40%. Spawn rate has been increased this week while lower heaviest unit spawn rate but spawn more medium and light units (chargers, devastators, tanks / hunters and sprewers). They also buffed the HP by 40-ish% for medium and titan (2.5 spear shot in the head). They also slightly increased detection time for flyers.
But worst of all they increased the little green spitter slow effect duration. That's so far stuff I notice this week. Really hate this week sneak update.

Apparently we're few and far between and are idiots for trying to play a team based game, solo. Atleist that's what I keep seeing in other comments.
I have been in missions with a full team on lev 7 and the drop rate was insane. I would see 3 drop ships, and then 30 sec later, 3 more came in. After failing the mission, we moved on, and the next mission, the drop rate was every few min. It was as if the difficulty was hoping between 6 and 9.
I was just in a level 4 trying to solo, and the dropships came in 3 at a time. I don't ever remember a level 4 having 3 at a time.
Same goes to Ghost of Tsushima is now unavailable to 177 countries too.

500+ bug kills on difficulty 4. PLAYING SOLO. Those kind of numbers on level 4, and I don't engage every patrol, if they are heading away from where I am going I go around them. How can new players with limited weapons, strats, and modules combat those solo. I am Lv 42 BTW, casual PC player.

The worst part of the Tenderizer is that the reload is also much longer than the Liberator. They need to buff the damage for it to like 70 or something. It feels good with burst.
As for the pummeler, it feels kinda bugged in the stun department. I can stop a charger with it, which doesn’t seem right.
This guy's daily productivity is insane.
Me and one of my friends did a level 4 against the Terminids with just a small squad of 2, after completing the main objective, and clearing MOST nests, I was VERY suprized at the number of patrols and CHARGERS we were encountering while heading to AND defending extraction. It felt more like a level 6 with the number of chargers! With both me and my friend saying to eachother "This is a level 4 right?" I'll just put it this way, It seemed like we needed 2-3X MORE anti-tank/heavy stratagems than previously played level 4s, it was ridiculous.
Expect more of the same, this is why I haven't played since March, got the game, was AMAZINGLY fun for about three weeks then they started the Buffing TF outta enemies and nerfing Guns for EVERY major order. Pay attention and you'll notice this gets worse with every new major order.
Can confirm that solo has many many more spawns to deal with. I normally can take out a patrol, and a bot drop and have about a minute-ish before the next one comes in. Today, It was click on thing on objective, kill patrol, kill next thing, deal with two more patrols, click next thing, deal with another patrol and another bot drop. No breaks at all the entire time. ALWAYS something chasing me down. Doesn't feel good at all. Honestly considering dropping this game and asking for a refund because things haven't changed, every balance pass makes the good stuff feel worse and the rest doesn't feel good at all. I solo play the vast majority of the time. And they keep making solo play to feel more and more horrible with every tweek.
Yesterday Sony Banned Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia on Steam and they still have 177 countries blocked on Helldivers2 still.

Yeah, maybe more patch had more buffs than nerfs, but these "buffs" weren't as significant as the nerfs. They buffed a few lacking weapons to make them viable and interesting but completely destroyed every weapons the community liked. No more good railgun, eruptor, quasar, ect...
If a restaurant was making 3 star meals for a long time and then started declining to 1 star meals out of nowhere, you wouldn't say: "Oh but they served a lot more of good meals than bads..."
It's understandable for the balance team to want challenging ennemies but fuck it if theses challenges are made by shitting on our fun gameplay. It's a PVE, the majority of the fanbase play for the fun gameplay and enjoyment the game provides, if the balance team removes it, then it's just a hard for no specific reason game that doesn't gives any satisfaction while completing it.
I do believe they are basing their balancing patches, nerfs, and buffs on helldive solo play
From my own personal experience: I generally play on difficulty 2 and I pretty much always play solo. After the "balance" patch I have been getting swarmed with patrols. And I don't just get one patrol at a time, but two or three will all converge at once. There have been several times that I have tried to extract and been swarmed by eight or nine patrols before the drop ship shows up. And not a consistent trickle, but two or three arriving at a time, followed by a short lull and then another two or three patrols. If I wanted to be constantly barraged by enemies, I'd be playing on a higher difficulty. So yeah, between this issue and the constant gun nerfs, the game is quickly loosing it's allure.

100% skill issue dude. Soloing doesn’t mean all clearing. It means completing the main objective. If you can’t solo 5, 6, or 7 and get the main objective and at least 2 secondary objectives, it’s literally a skill issue. You have 5 lives, and 1 more every 2 minutes. Learn how to stretch those out, and also keep moving. It just takes time to get better at it
Edit: I should also mention that I can still solo and all clear at least half the time. If not, I still always get the main and the secondary objectives on level 5, even after the change. 6 and 7 I almost always get all the main and secondary objects still
It's nothing new y'all, lol. Every new major order they do the same thing, they just went WAY overboard on it this time, they nerf meta and other strong weapons then buff TF outta enemies. All so we don't complete the major orders too quick.
I only ask you actually read Sony response. It stats current plans won't move forward. Not that it wouldn't happen. Especially with some pc players saying they would be ok with it if they got something for it. Guess what Sony is doing

The Tenderizer has 10 magazines, the Liberator has 7. so technically the Tenderizer has an additional 15 bullets.
While this is absolutely correct, it's also really hard to go through all that ammunition in the few minutes between resupply cooldowns.
While I can't confirm the spawn rate with hard data I do dive solo alot and can tell you it now feels like classic survival mode.

The respawn change makes sense now, this week I've been going between lvl 3-7 and in parties of 2-4 and the ones where I was a duo seemed pretty tough on the numbers we were fighting

The warbonds are meant to offer reskins with slight changes, niche gear options, and some new mild perks. It’s not meant to make old content obsolete.
Most of us don't ask for weapons so powerful that they make game obsolete. But it is clearly not acceptable that the premium weapons & gears are worse than the free ones. All in all, most of the weapons, armors and stratagems are junks. We don't want so many junks clogging up. Make them fun and effective to use, which don't have to be all powerful
@@taoday118 but it will take a whole 4 years to be able to balance and make 3 weapons fun, it's impossible to make 3 weapons every month fun because it takes the balance/weapons dev team waaaay too much testing to be able to keep up with the quota of one warbond every month.
If I had to guess, the countries still not having the game back on steam store is just some sort of a paperwork slowdown, where removing it has to be officially dealt with, then the addition back to steam has to be dealt with through some sort of approvals and licenses or whatever corporate mumbojumbo there is.
Stuff like that can be ridiculously overcomplicated sometimes and who knows what paperwork/approvals there might be from valve, sony, sales laws... what have you.
Sure, the delay sucks but I don't believe it will be anything permanent at all.

Absolutely called this bs. When they did the first nerf on the railgun i called it and knew it was a slippery slop but everyone in the community said i was over reacting and to "get gud" when its always been about fun in a PVE game. exactly the reason i hit level 50 when it came out and havent played since the first patch.

my brother and I and some of our friends were so upset when they did that first nerf update. It gave me diablo 4 vibes hard-core and I got sour real fast played just a Lil after that and I mean like maybe a week or so and me and my brother were playing like hard and challenging by ourselves after that patch we weren't even able to play medium missions with just me and him so we couldn't get any samples or get any medals. Man it sucked we went from having a blast to getting pissed off and just dying left and right and not having any fun at all. Haven't played it since. And since all this Sony PSN stuff happened and they are butchering this sucker I went and changed my review from a good one to a negative one on steam and I am leaving it that way. Should have done that months ago when they gave it that first awful nerf patch but ohh well folks finally pushing them out of their ass now lol.
Every patch has had more buffs than nerfs by a large margin and most nerfs have been minor
@@honorguard7616 the only buff that actually made a real impact was the antitank one tapping chargers.

As someone who regularly solo helldives, the patrols are pretty bad comparatively now, often times i feel like i cannot complete objectives because as soon as i am about to clear a patrol another one walks on in. I've had to lower the difficulty due to this.
Also, is it just me or are enemies hearing the exosuit from ridiculously far away now?
Alexus' justification for nerfing the Eruptor is mind boggling. No one complained about the shrapnel effect, in fact it was what made the weapon very fun. What wasn't good, was the absurd ammo count and that indeed needed a nerf. It was just crazy, literally impossible to go out of ammo even by firing constently with 12 mags. The fact that it could kill friendly players to justify a nerf is absurd in the way that the Blitzer, Tesla Tower and Arc Thrower can definitely do that too if one doesn't pay attention. Same for Grenade Launcher or virtually anything (especially the Guard Dog Laser Rover at some point). Or impact grenades, fire and so on. It's ridiculous.
What needed to be fixed though was the explosion bug making us ragdoll towards the explosion, and it was fixed. That's it. Also, Alexus nerfed the Crossbow when literally no one asked for that. Not a single soul even on their Discord ever said that to him. Now it's a trash tier weapon. I swear to god, if the Spear - once the lock on is fixed, gets nerfed, I'm uninstalling.
This is why I told you guys not to change your negative reviews. The game is still banned in over 170 countries and that has not changed yet. I don't know why you immediately reversed and started leaving positive reviews just because Sony said they were going to do something but hasn't actually done it yet.
They removed Ghost of Tsushima from those countries also.
Mine shall stay negative. They have lost my trust completely and ah nor sony will ever get a dime from me. I ALMOST bought a ps5 for stellar blade a week ago. Heard about censorship, then the sony thing with hd2 came up and I took SB back and cancelled the ps5 coming from Amazon the same day. Last thing PlayStation I had was ps2 and ffx/x-2 and now it will stay that way.
I did it mainly because I dont see any incentive for Sony to keep these regions locked if the PSN requirement is no longer happening, so I assumed it was just some problem between them and steam. If they do end up bringing the PSN requirement back Im just going to change my review again, and so will everyone else.

I was surprised we'd failed the MO until I remembered the whole thing with the account linking dropped player numbers well below 100k
1:12 - I believe that the reason we failed it, is mostly because of the lack of coordination. 1/5 to 1/4 of the Helldivers weren't useful as they were helldiving in not enough number on other planets, and as such, not contributing in a useful way.
The issue isn't of the Helldivers, but the lack of in game tools and easily information to coordinate more efficiently.
And maybe the auto-join feature not contributing in the best way.

Coming from somebody who almost exclusively plays solo, I can totally believe that spawns are at 100% for solo divers. Even on medium and challenging difficulty I can barely get rid of one patrol and bug breach before another patrol spawns right behind me. Sometimes it feels like I'm in a never-ending loop of shooting bugs spawning all around me.
It feels that way on Helldive difficulty with a full squad too. We’ve had to learn to just cut and run as soon as possible, throwing as many explosives behind us as we can because there is NOTHING we can do to stop a bug breach from being spawned AND another patrol walking up on us in the meantime.
@@OneBiasedOpinion I feel like bug breaches also need to be nerfed because the amount of times I've killed one bug calling a bug breach and then another one immediately starts calling another one for a chain of like five bugs until I finally give up and accept the breach, it becomes predictable that oh I just killed that bug calling a breach so the one behind it will now stop and call a breach. At least with Bots you can shoot down the Dropship and kill most if not all the Bots being dropped by it and sometimes take out a fabricator plant, there's just no way to stop a breach unless you kill the entirety of the group of bugs you ran into

I 100% disagree. Yeah, you can’t easily all clear on solo past 5. But you can easily grind medals and shit on 6 and 7 solo. I get a minimum 800xp solo on suicide missions. While I’m not trying to be a dick by saying it, it’s also still true: get better

@@Bram_Weijgers They changed the way spawns work to make it really difficult solo
One thing people often forget is that the weapon stats we see in game is only a small fraction of the stats the devs claim there are. If I recall, the devs have stated that there are more than 50 stats for weapons, so just because what we can see is worse than the starter, doesnt mean that it is all worse. Mind you, ive not tried it yet, so i cant say how it feels. Just expressing my thoughts.
