At 5:24, when AR Rahman comes on to the stage and the audience erupts into cheers, the girl on the extreme right looks like she's going to die of joy. When she sings "tere pairon me jannat hai" looking at AR Rahman, she seems star struck and looks like she really believes that the world is at AR Rahman's feet. Maybe even rightly so.

At first I couldn't realize why the audience started to cheer so loudly and then I saw the maestro himself emerging on the stage, his appearance was the perfect denouement to this beautiful finale. We, Indians, are grateful and blessed to have gems like A R Rahman in our country ❤️

    Mother, I salute thee!
    Rich with thy hurrying streams,
    bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Green fields waving Mother of might,
    Mother free.
    Glory of moonlight dreams,
Over thy branches and lordly streams,
    Clad in thy blossoming trees,
    Mother, giver of ease
    Laughing low and sweet!
    Mother I kiss thy feet,
    Speaker sweet and low!
    Mother, to thee I bow.

We have been brainwashed to hate each other. Let us be smarter than this. And learn to love everyone. Especially our neighbours.
Indian subcontinent should stop fighting with each other and rise as one powerful nation.
Staying abroad for few months made me realise I can connect more with Pakistani and Bangladeshi than with anyone else..
Let's put an end to this hatred.
Let's learn to respect each other and our respective beautiful traditions.
