    This is just a helpful tip for the first 90 chains at the beginning. I would suggest placing a crochet marker after every 10 or 20 chains incase you lose count, you won't have to go back and count all your stitches.

    I’m a Knitter, but I want to learn crochet. Your tutorial is one the best I’ve seen on RUclips, very concise and clear instructions and just the right pace. My biggest trouble with crochet is knowing which stitch to put my hook through. Thanks for clearing that up. I find knitting really easy, but I’d really like to improve my crochet skills. I would love to see you do more crochet and knitting videos!

    I love it. thank you for showing it at the start of your video. A lot of videos like this only show a thumb nail of the finished product, and then again at the end. This helps to see the scarf in motion, so thank you. its beautiful. I've been crocheting since i was very young. It never gets old. =)

    Hey Veronica!
    It's so encouraging to see a young person helping to keep the art of crochet alive! One observation....when adding new yarn, I would suggest that you tie a double knot so it won't come a loose when you wash it.

    what a great video! I can easily follow this better than I could some others. I've been wanting to get back into crocheting, but don't have anyone that I know of, to teach me. My nana taught me a good 30 years ago but I didn't keep practicing. I was a teenager at the time and into so many things, and so I set my hook and yarn down for 5 minutes only to realize nearly 30 years had passed before I realized what I did. She's long gone so I've had to turn to the web to find videos to help me learn. I have a blanket project I found that I will eventually finish, it's far from perfect but it's a good starter project. I'd like to make a few of these for Christmas presents though. Maybe this year...

    Veronica. Why the random row of single crochet 1/3 of the way in? I could see it more if it was in the middle. Also, I am thinking the type of yarn you make makes a huge difference. I used a more fuzzy yarn and the back stitches were very hard to see using this yarn. Can you tell me what type of yarn you used? Thanks so much!

    Hi! I think your video is absolutely perfect! Beautiful pattern, easy to follow, and love how close up it is. Question, I am making this for a guy, he doesn't want an infinity scarf, would the pattern be the same if I turn instead of joining my stitch? I hope that makes sense.

    • @VeronicaMarieDIY
      @VeronicaMarieDIY  7 лет назад

      First, thank you so much, that means a lot :) And secondly I'm pretty sure that way would work too. The only thing that that might effect is the rib part of the stitch. Because if you crochet back and forth along the scarf then you'll have ribs on both sides of the scarf instead of just one side.

    • @VeronicaMarieDIY
      @VeronicaMarieDIY  7 лет назад

      If you want to have the ribbed stitch on just one side then you could do a (back stitch) for the second row then find the stitch on the front that looks exactly like the back stitch (except it's in the front) and do a row of that. Basically you would do normal stitch (on your chain) then (back stitch) front stitch, (back stitch) front stitch,..... I hope that's not too confusing. Sorry if it is.

    • @rashmika9742
      @rashmika9742 7 лет назад

      Nancy Pertschuk I don't know about RUclips videos, but I've seen books that show both left handed and right handed. A friend told me though that she takes a mirror and flips the instructions, but she's also ambidextrous, which helps. It's such a shame that there's not much for lefties. :( Happy crocheting!

    With the rows of double stitches... there's the row where you put the needle into the bag stitch instead of the front stitch to get that 'rib' effect. Do you do this for all the double stitch rows for the rest of the video, or it into the front stitches for the rest? X

    Just out of curiosity, why don't some crocheters leave a long enough tail to weave in? Wouldn't make it much easier to leave a long tail to weave in with a tapestry needle than a crochet hook but then again, everyone's different. I just cut a long tail so that I can weave it in with a tapestry needle.
