Defeating Blackgaol Knight | Elden Ring DLC | Shadow of the Erdtree

This was the first boss I stumbled upon and he took me way too many attempts to defeat as I am used to using my incantations & he wasn't giving me enough of a window for that. I had to learn how to melee, which I am not so good at. Winged Scythe was the MVP of this fight for me. Now I am happy to help people destroy him in co-op in retaliation. Strangely you can't use spirit ashes in this fight, only other players' help.
He drops Solitude Set of armour, his weapon & way too little runes. I'm using a mainly faith-based build at ~RL170. Tip: try to get at least a few blessing upgrades with Scadutree Fragments before facing this guy.
