This looks great! Not sure I’d have thought of painting the base, have thought about painting blades before. But what took it over the top was engraving the blades. Only negative to that is when it’s running you can’t see the pretty engraving, unless you’ve got really fast eyes.😂

You covered the air vents in the top of the fan base with paint. Not a great idea
These are not that bad of fans. It’s better than replacing it with something worse than this it was a crusty yellowed out fan
The fan works fin and now it looks really cool too! Until we painted the house, we didn't realize how dirty and yellowed out it was.
