Awesome video. I thought that you had to buy the templates. This makes it a lot more affordable. I can't wait to try it this weekend. Also, you don't need to be near the dye NPC. I bought a few extra to carry with me in the field so I could dye new items and it worked just fine.

Yo, yeh man sure, all you need to do is press Control + Z. Pressing it once will remove the UI, pressing it a second time will go into first person view. Hope that helps :)
There are some dyes that are permanent :D you have to make them or get them in eggs etc. I'll try get round to making a video on it at some point, but the dyes you buy from this vendor are not permanent.
I actually tried to remodel my gear to one I had saved since level 14 or so and it kept telling me "This item is not a template" or something of the sort. I tried this during NA CBT2 which it sounds like you did as well. Just wanted to clarify that you actually used a piece of gear and not a template to remodel your piece. Keep up the vids!
lol yeh man kinda. Firstly there are no macros in this game, but if you press "p" to bring up your character frame you will see 5 small boxes and a 6th that looks like a save icon at the bottom. This is used to save your gear sets. So for example, you can click number 1 and hit the save icon and it will save that gear you have on. If you then go to tab 2 and remove all your crystals and hit save then you can just use that second icon when you want to remove all your crystals :)

i'm trying to change the appreance of this white level 12 axe i got into the appearance of this green lvl 11 quest reward axe i got, they both say remodelable but i cannot for the life of me figure out why it wont let me use the green quality axe as the appearance item

Hi, since you seem a rather well-informed about all things TERA I would like to know how to disable the UI for taking awesome screenshots. I know this is a bit out of the subject here but I thought that maybe you know. Thanks in advance. Also I can't wait to get to play the full game when it is released. Also you cannot use any item as a template piece for remodeling, I tried it and it only works on items that say they can either be remodelable or used as a template. Just a heads up.
@Ghostridah35 Yeh man, as IamManny said, only certain items can be changed. It says on them on the tooltip. In this video I used a template to remodel the gear, but before recording I used another piece of gear as well. As longs as the item says remodelable on it, it should be fine.
Just saying, I went to the Trade Broker and looked for a cheap nice looking, 'useable as template' outfit (that I've owned before so i know what it looked like) to remodel the crappy-looking gear I got recently too. Found one for less than 1 gold that looked good. So you don't always have to buy the pricey templates, quite helpful! >.
Hey, I have a question for you, its not about this video, is more about macros. You think its possibel to creat a macro that, by pressing only one key you could take out all your crystal, cuz i find my self die alot (im quite the noob) and my crystal keep breaking :C Even tho i could just buy a new ones, they are not that expensive + moobs drop it, it would be awsome to have such a bind/macro.
I have run into the problem that it won't let me use any other item in my bag to change the look of my initial item. So if I put my ugly, pink leopard print armor with great stats in the remodeling ui, all of my other armor of the same type that is in my bag gets shaded blue and doesn't let me use it to set the look. Any ideas? Really want to remodel both my armor and weapons but can't. I figure it's gotta be something simple I am missing. (and all items used are tagged as remodelable)

So the dyes will last 24h of me being online? and not count down offline? If so that's cool. I'm going to get this game next week when I can afford it. Also these videos are very professional and awesome.
So i tried this today but the item that i want the skin from wont let me use it. It just says you can't place that item there. I was trying to use just an ordinary white item to re-skin my green item. Do you need a specific type of item for the re-skin or does it work with any model?
Maybe if you copy the item name and search it on terawiki or something like that, i think they have previews there :b But a system that would do that in-game would be awsome, for sure ^^
Actually, in response to your comment in the video, having the item deleted on remodel isn't so bad. If you got another upgrade for that slot, you could just reuse the one you are wearing as the template! So, you technically shouldn't have to buy that template item ever again if you keep remodeling over and over again.

Yeh man you can craft them, go to the dye vender mentioned in this video, she has a second tab where you can buy the pattern to make the dye :)

You can redye it back I guess :) Or maybe the NPC on the right of the template vendor if you want to remodel it back :D
You need to buy a template item from the vendor, or use a item that says " use able as template" :) hope that helps :D

Nope it doesn't, however the item you want to copy the looks from has to say "eligible as template". Hope that helps :)
