The issue with Wolverine's age is that I think it was Forge said "Wolverine and Sabertooth both where gladiators in the Roman Arena." So that would make them both far older but Marvel never keeps up with their own writing.
I’m sure Forge just meant that they vacationed to modern-ish Rome together, but in classic romcom fashion had a falling out over hotel accommodations and they fought it out aaaaaat the Roman coliseum.
He could've meant it metaphorically or referring to gladiators fighting to the death.

In the Powers of X conclusion issue, Wolverine was still alive when the humans/robot hybrids were trying to join the collective and it he was well over a thousand years old at that moment and he looked to be in his mid 40s at worst. He had a few white streaks in his hair so it's more likely that even with Adamatium that he can live to two thousand years at least.
*Actually the time span doesn't make sense with the way humans had evolved so I'm thinking now that he was far older than a thousand years in that instance. We know he's been resurrected with his Adamantium claws after dying so he still had it.
My dream is a timeline where Wolvie didn't get that adamatium back, but his healing powers went back to normal... In my mind, the adamantum always means demise for him. One story where he finally sets off into the sunset

@@RoomerJ Yea, I was referring at the point of the story back when Magneto ripped his adamatium and the healing factor got overload. Anyway, I'd like to read about a Wolverine who escaped from the metal poisoning and retains the powers he was born with.
Hey Rob, long time subscriber and watcher of your videos. I've loved comics for almost 50 years and I love catching up on stuff I've missed on your channel. I think your breakdowns are awesome and I have a request. It's an old issue of "What If" I had when I was kid back in the 70s and I think it's a pretty cool one. You might think it's fun and would make a great one shot episode for your audience. It's issue number 32, "What If Avengers Became Pawns of Korvac?".
It's a pretty wild story that explores what would have happened if Michael Korvac had beaten the Avengers. He ends up defeating and absorbing every hero, gods, cosmic entities and annihilates the entire universe!

Problem with that is that carbonadium sword will slow the healing Factor but it won't stop it. If you want to kill Wolverine with us or you need a mura Masa sword that stops the healing factor in order to heal from that you have to cut away the affected flesh and then put the body back together. So that's not the only way to kill Wolverine you can always drop them into a star or I guess the black hole is a collapsed star so yeah dropping him into a star will work
or drown him. Healing factor can't make new cells if there is no oxygen in his blood. Or drop him in acid, that would disolve his brain and simce our bones have holes in them would take care of his actual bones and marrow.
@@noahwesterberg8566 Wolverine his comeback from all of those. In order to permit kill Wolverine you likely need to drop them into a star or a black hole without the resurrection protocols that they brought about in House of X powers of x

I've always wished wolverine would have a power upgrade. Maybe the glowing claws are a hint into that. The reason is that in all the cosmic threats that face earth, wolverine isn't a factor. I don't want him to be cosmic, but something mysterious that doesn't take away from what the character truly is.

wolverine also has heightened senses. you keep forgetting that. so he isnt just a dude with bone claws and healing, before he gets the adamantium. he's still an alpha predator even then. the metal just makes him immune to losing limbs or bones crushed.

Would it be accurate to say that Wolverine has a better chance of dying from old age than from being killed? Because of his healing factor and him not being an external.

The modern Krakoa saga has actually drastically nerfed wolverines durability.
He's been killed multiple times outside of being incinerated by nimrod.
Hes still plenty durable. But hes nowhere near as durable as he was before powers of X.

Everyone of his bodies has had adamantium bonded to it. Wolverine just dies seemingly much more often.

No you wouldn't...diamonds are mainly only priceless, due to a perceived rarity...If you lived "forever", what's the point of prioritizing anything? Time wouldn't be precious, cause you have an endless supply...
@@jw1415 that's the flawed logic I hate. I love life. The deterioration of our bodies makes people less happy. But if that was solved, I could happily live a couple thousand years. I would love to test this out. Lol. My grandmother is almost 100. She still lives at home. As I get older my interests expand. I've learned so much in 38 years, but I could learn so much more. I'm more valuable to society as I get smarter also. Until my body starts to fail me.

I allllllllways thought that the only reason Wolverine grew older was because of his body fighting adamantium poisoning that's why when it's bonded to his skeleton is when he started aging, and it was like his body can either heal it's self or not age,but with adamantium it can't be both (if that makes sense)
I'm probably alone in this, but I'm kind of surprised that Rob hasn't made any videos covering M.O.D.O.K.

60s you hit your peak? I'd say 30s is where you hit your peak physically, after that it does go down hill.
nah. ill be 40 and my body is in better shape than when i was 20. stronger, leaner, faster. it comes down to the rate of cellular division and how healthy each new cell is. when that drop off period hits and you start making cells at a slower rate and less healthy ones, is 50+. hair loss starts at 30ish, but thats about it. if a person is feeling health decline at 30, its due to unnatural aging (bad dietary habits, no exercise, diseases, adverse environment, etc).
Your bones keep on evolving all the way to 60, and then it slowly starts devolve.
33 is where you reach physical peak prime.
40 is where you reach full maturity.
@@MrLexJLuthor I dunno, when I was in my 20s I was much more physically fit than 40s, and yeah it required a lot less effort to do so. In your 40s it seems that you need to do a LOT of work just to keep at a reasonable baseline. It 47 currently I do notice that I'm not healing quite as fast as I used to 10+ years ago, where as a bruise would be gone in day, cuts/scratches heal up very quickly too (not Wolverine quick but relatively quick), and now bruises can linger for weeks, cuts and scratches require a lot more effort to keep covered/clean and still require two to three times longer to completely heal up.
But regardless of the actual time, I don't think it's 60s as Rob said in the video.

There’s no logic to him aging really slow. His healing factor would just have to fail. It would never allow his body to begin expiration. His telomeres would clearly have to heal or be extraordinarily long which would be a separate trait or “ability” from the healing factor itself.
