The 1993 Sajal Barui case in Kolkata. Sajal Barui,16, along with his 5 friends killed his father, stepmother and stepbrother in the same way shown here in this episode. Sajal Barui became a career criminal after this incident. His death sentence was changed to life imprisonment. But in 2001 he escaped jail and was at large for almost 2 years. During this time he committed many crimes along with other career criminals. He was recaptured on Feb 2003. He was arrested as a criminal by the name of Sheikh Raju and imprisoned at Midnapore jail. On May 2003, after masquerading as Sheikh Raju for 3 months, he was positively identified as Sajal Barui by a jailor he had met him earlier in Alipore Central jail while serving his kife sentence. Sajal Barui was released from jail in 2010 but got arrested again in 2011 for robbery charges. Sajal Barui was a criminal minded person from his childhood. The court and law did the right thing by not showing any mercy to him although he was a juvenile at the time of the murders. His family ill-treating him was just excuse to gain sympathy from the public and his friends. His real motive was to get his hands on his father's property and kill his father, stepmother and stepbrother to fulfill his evil goal. He is not a oppressed innocent teen, but a very cunning and ruthless boy.
If they are old enough to commit crime, they are old enough to be punished, some people are born evil, & they should face capital punishment, for public safety.
The society needs to understand that every solution doesn't have an answer of beating them and teaching them lesson rather to just make them understand and be free and make them comfortable with ourselves

I love all the investigations done by Our police department shown in all these cases..but I requests not to disclose all the clues so that criminals get educated and will avoid those misteks...here use of oil to hide smell is new guideline for criminals which can be avoided or something else could have been replaced with. all actors are awesome.
My heart goes out to the boy , he was a result of he abuse he had witnessed and the messed up law that had him imprisoned when he was a 16 year old with a brain barely developed. Z K i am nt really sure if u watched d episode clearly. That boy was a master mind of crime who planned to kill his parents with the help of his friends. He was not abused or anything. He hurt himself to gain sympathy.
But than again we don't know that , he could have done it to himself or been abused. No one really knows, but what i do know that if he was given proper psychiatric help when he murdered is family instead of prison he wouldn't have turned into the criminal he is today. He was barely a 16 year old child, the brain is still developing at that age and he needed mental help not prison.
A 16 year old knows very well what’s right and what’s wrong so even if he killed his family because of abuse he is still wrong and his friends were wrong. No excuse for murdering whether 12 or 16 🙄 So you want 16 year olds to kill and get away with it do you?
exoticb09 I don't think prison should always be the first option. They could have let him go to a psychiatric ward like many people who are guilty go to when they aren't mentally stable. Prison did nothing but let him become more unstable tbh.

And if you are having any doubts go back to the part where he killed his family. Any innocent being would want them to justify themselves.
