Track assembly for model scale tanks

- The video shows how I assembled the tracks for my model scale tank, an Academy Merkava IV. It isn't 100% perfect, but I hope it will be useful! I took inspiration from a tutorial video by Academy I couldn't find anymore (note: it is 4x faster, I didn't want it to get boring! ;-).
Questo video mostra come ho montato i cingoli per il mio modellino di carro armato, un Merkava IV dell'Academy. Non è perfetto al 100%, ma spero possa tornare utile! Ho preso ispirazione da un video tutorial della Academy che non sono più riuscito a trovare (nota: il video è velocizzato di 4 volte, non volevo diventasse noioso! ;-).

Great video, thanks! Looks so easy when you doing this, but I know it's not. I've never had this kind of tracks (so far only assembled Tamiya's models with a complete track made like a rubber band). And had some really bad experience with Meng's track (must be built without cement, from separate links and pins - immediately fell apart). Now I want to build Tamiya'sTiger I and it has a track from separate links like you have in this video. I'm not sure I want to try this :(
Hi! Thank you! The single link tracks like this one could seem difficult (and boring!) to assembly, but trust me, they are not! Yes, you'll spend most of the time (a couple of hours, maybe) in cleaning the links, but the rest of the job, assembling the links and putting the track in place, doesn't take too long. Just pre-assemble the links in smaller sections, i.e. 10 elements each (first the ones that will remain straight, because they will be a little more difficult to bend as the cement dries), when they're finished, put the pieces together... et voilà! ;-)

Thanks for the great video. I liked the music also! I am thinking of adding a few extra links so I can duplicate the "sag" in the tracks.
Thank you Bill! I'm glad you liked it! :-) If I can give you an advice, however, you don't need to duplicate the sag of the tracks of a modern (or an American WW2) tank, they have to be kept well tightened to reduce the wear of the link pivots! :-) Bye!

Сколько по времени нужно для высыхания клея, перед тем как форму делать?
Примерно 10-15 минут, чтобы клей начал затвердевать. Но я не говорю по-русски, извините! 😁

what? if you glue the tracks, doesnt it stay rigid, how
did you make it bend?
Tim's scale model building same problem :/
They take a while to become rigid, so you have some time (around 15-20 minutes, depends on the glue and on the plastic) to bend it! :-)
Oh one thing i forgot to ask Vincenzo when gluing the tracks can you use any relatively slow drying glue like poly cement thanks once more :)
Of course! It's exactly what I used in this video! The slow drying leaves you the time to bend the tracks onto the wheels! :) Bye!
What are the metal alignment tools that you are using??? When do you pint the tracks???
Hi! They are two simple aluminium bars I found at home, nothing special! :-) And I painted the tracks separately from the rest of the tank (they keep their shape once the cement is set, so you don't have to bother about), putting them in place only before the weathering phase! Bye!
Nice. My dumbass glued the wheels on though. So the track doesnt line up with the wheel base.

Yes, it was! It's that in the bottle with the green cap!
