As long as we only make predictions about the future, nothing will change. We have to dream the future and then build it. And the young generation can start to dream and think about it and build it for their Children,grandchildren... This generation from now we only made predictions and consumed...Responsible Citizens not foolish Consumers
It's a great video. But regarding the building materials : used materials that cost 60% are not cheaper. You must think of usage years. Compare them to 2nd hand cars. They cost less but have less time left. Still a great solution because these would be lost years.

This video was absolutely amazing. Very grounded, realistic and doable solutions. Of course these are easier to execute in such climate. But I sure would love to see more such innovations done here in Finland for example. I wish we (Finnish people) would use more and more wood in buildings, even larger ones.
Maybe wear boots next time on the motor bike rather than sandals?? Love the Bamboo House and water!!

Electric bikes can be a great fire hazard, especially in areas with dense population.
Can someone please say to me what songtitel it is in the intro?
I like how they try to present this in a positive way, but who the hell thinks that building with basically second set of walls containing high maintenance greenery would be in any way cheaper or more affordable or sustainable than basic steel/concrete/glass block? There is no way doubling effort to create the same internal volume could be possibly cheaper or affordable in a country like Vietnam. You build concrete building, you paint it once in a decade. You build "green" forest and you have ten gardeners trimming, watering, replacing dying plants, removing weeds. Also, it is tropics, there will be full "ecosystem" of bugs living in your building.
In recycling fragment they also say some nonsense, that buildings contain more material than left in the ground. Wake up, who would buy this? There is infinite amount of rocks and clay and sand in the Earth crust, infinite. We haven't even scratched the surface.

The 3D printing one is nice, but single family houses like those don't help towards efficiently allocating space and resources. To solve this crisis, we need a widespread attitude change towards sustainability. High density housing can solve kenyas housing crisis more cheaply and sustainably than just using fancy building printers.

Construction waste issue? Nope, the material gets ordered, then the contractor adds 20%, then its paid by builder, who adds 20%, then anything leftover? Well it goes into dumpsters because its cheaper to dump than spend the man-power to collect, clean & ship back, cutting the extra 20%, get-it?

Construction is a massive industry that moves a lot of people and money, and it's also not straightforward: it's very expensive, competitive, and every site is different. For such a big and complex field, it's natural to have multiple approaches evolving to solve the issues within the field, in small ways.
No one person will come up with the ultimate solution, and even if, they need to cooperate with the existing systems in an efficient way for it to work. No contractor will ever accept a project that relies in too many unknown technologies, it's too risky.
