- I finally made a CUSTUM RUG!!!
I am so proud of myself! I love learning new crafts! Not only does it help me with art block, but it really does refuel the motivations for painting and drawing! I hope you all have been creative and juicy this week!
If you would love to make a rug this is what I did
Punch needle kit/tool (you can get them online or at your local craft store)
Yarn (Check your thrift stores or places where ppl resell! Its so much cheaper!
Monks Cloth ( you can get it online, Walmart, craft store! You can even use burlap and its so much cheaper!)
Carpet Glue
I am pretty sure everything costs me just under $70!!
(I did have frames and staple already)

Love it! I did rug punching back in the late 1960s but the kits back then had short lengths of yarn that you would punch individually. It look a lot longer than this method.

a fun thing to do to is get an embroidery punch set, it has the same type of needle just smaller, it just uses embroidery floss or a thinner yarn depending on the size and you can make custom clothing patches! just paint one side with rug glue, and glue felt over than, then use a fabric or heat activated glue to attach to whatever you like.

I have never seen this tool you’re using before. I’ve seen the rug gun but that looks way more affordable. You did a beautiful job as always. Never have I seen such a unique rug as the one you made.❤

Loving your channel, your energy is so refreshing & funny & your art is amazing 👍🏼👍🏼! You know you can very cheaply buy these little projectors that are very very small & kinda look like a kids toy but work very well & are so easy to carry & move about ect. You just place your photo or image under it & it projects it on the wall ect & of course has a enlarge & focus function. Look it up they are cool.

Oh my goodness, that was amazing! You did such a fantastic job translating your painting into fiber art. I've been wanting to try rug making forever,but I need another craft like a hole in the head. I CANT STRESS HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT SPOOKY SEASON!!!!!! WAAAAAAAA!!!!! I think it would be cool to see you do some more cooking like you said you might want to do, and also maybe try to do a block print fabric thing? I forget if you ever made a video doing something like that but if you don't want to use linoleum (hard and gross and annoying IMHO) i reccommend this stuff by Speedball called ez carve its basically a pink eraser but in sheet format and its easier to carve into and also cheaper!! You could print some kinda pattern or design for a personalized shirt or a jacket or something!!!!!!
