Cylinders and Quadratic Surfaces Part 1 of 2

- Here we talk about the multivariable Calculus concepts of cylinders, traces, quadratic surfaces and classifying them.
I show a couple of basic examples of graphing cylinders by hands, show the notion of traces and produce a rough graph followed by graphs from WolframAlpha.com (thanks Wolfram!) along with a few more graphs. The video ends with questions for you to practice that I will complete in part 2 of 2.
