It is great to see that a young American (Sawyer) can articulate the runaway tax situation in the US today, spread the word!

Hey, good job guys. Just wanted to mention, as someone who isn’t a farmer but is interested in the industry, it is nice to hear the market update. Even if it does come out a day late, I like to hear general trends.

Loved hearing your take on the horrific tax situation in this country

Everyone is not paying 50% taxes. Many are paying none beyond consumer taxes, while receiving government subsidies to support their lifestyle. Reducing taxes without reduced spending will not work. More and more of tax revenue is going to pay interest on borrowed money, leave less and less to pay for government. I'm glad that there is someone actually talking about it.

The consumerism started back around 1980 with Ron Popiel and his company ronco that invented the infomercial selling all kinds of stuff especially around Christmas keep up the good work guys

We will never see deflation or any price reduction because everything has been financed. If you borrowed at 10% then your price floor is fixed to a 10% increase.

Best part to me is Sawyer talking about getting engaged. Y’all should make the wedding about you. It don’t have to be something big and fancy. My wife and I did a cookout on a farm with friends and family. Very great day.

I may live in New England, may not work anywhere near agriculture, and may be a bit farther left on policy but I do enjoy you two talking honest. I appreciate the perspectives.

My wife and I are now in South Central Minnesota Lake Country, but we both grew up in Central Iowa, my wife in Maxwell, Iowa and myself in Nevada, Iowa. Enjoy your content and wide variety of topics. The common sense you bring to topics definitely reminds us of our Iowa roots. Keep up the great podcast!! 😊

I suggest that everybody needs to write a check for their taxes to their employer when they get their check at the end of the week. If that happened, you would see tax reforms so fast in this country it would be crazy.

    Hi fellas
I am a farmer in Australia
If you were born in 1960 and onwards we now can retire at 67 from 65.
But no one in my family has ever retired we have died in the seat.
I am a apple grower and in my state we had 1000 growers and now there is 24 growers we grow about the same but it seems to be a trend throughout all farming
I would be also talking about the plan B and the VP on the other side of politics that would represent your interests and change this woke 🦬💩 because it all has to be fixed.
It makes us grateful that our head of state in Australia is chosen by the government and he or she represents the Crown that doesn’t have a hart beat. but can be lobbied by the people and can remove all the politicians and end the parliament and we can go to the polls and start again.
It has happened once in my lifetime. And it is compulsory that everyone votes and we are fined if we don’t but if you don’t vote you can’t complain and we vote on a weekend from 8am until 6pm and you can do postal votes and you can vote early no one misses out it doesn’t depend on apathy.
    Regards
    From Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺

About 15 years ago, I went on a vacation where I had no access to television or Internet for 10 days. The day that I came home, I stopped to eat at the airport and was blown away by the amount and effect of advertising on television they slip it into everythingand overtime it becomes more and more and more. It is the same with the little techno gadgets that you have to have and the amount of taxation they slip into everything that you do in every part of your life.

Loved hearing about the engagement CONGRATS! I'm newly engaged myself at 23 years old and if I could give any advice to you, help your partner plan. Having my fiancés opinion has really helped me to make decisions. Its both of yall's days so enjoy the process of planning and DIYing! I appreciate Sawyer saying he was the youngest one at his local Iowa caucus as was I. Our younger generation really needs to get involved especially at the state of the country right now. So thank you for mentioning that and validating my feelings. This podcast has truly been a highlight to my days and many others ive shared it with. Keep it going Barn Talk & This'll Do Farm!

The biggest problem with the inflation/deflation issue is that the fed could raise interest rates, but it's going to hurt. That's why the fed backed off on the slightest increase in interest rates; everyone got pissed.
If the money supply contracts to the point we see prices readjust to some point in living memory, that means the economy shrank a large amount, think 08' without the bailout x2

What’s your opinion on what’s going on in Europe with the farmers? And do you think that could happen in Canada or the US? I know Justin Trudeau is fisting us Canadians with his carbon tax, and we have to pay HST on top of the carbon tax.. so essentially a tax on a tax tax..

I watched the news for the weather one or twice a week. Guess what? we now need a wall put up on the southern border asap. But he will need 4 more yesrs to get it done. Funny how he already had 4 years and he axed it in the first month in office. I have little faith in how we vote as a state could be red yet blue won the state with 4 countys blue. Anyways great show great information keep it up guys i will be sharing / posting on fb.
