Ghostbusters-themed Lightsaber Design - Proton Saber - 3D Preliminary Mock-up

- I love Ghostbusters, and I’ve been thinking about building a prop lightsaber for a while… combining the two ideas felt like a nice fit, so I've modeled a mock-up to get some ideas out. This design is inspired mostly by the #neutrona wands they use to shoot their energy beams, mostly in the grip and forward block. I added a few visual call-backs to the proton pack on the bottom of the handle and the resistor and heat sinking from the ghost traps on the sides... The V-hook on the bottom facing of the lightsaber is meant to match the parts used to mount the proton wands onto the proton packs.

Proto-Saber = Backpack powered lightsaber.
I want to build something very similar. Only it’ll be much more functional than the fonts or tracks being used in the current builds. Definitely something Spengler would have come up with given the time but probably wouldn’t t have made it look so elegant. Lovely design btw.

This could be extremely dangerous. If you funnelled the energy of a proton pack through this highly energized crystalline emitter, it could puncture a hole through the very ozone layer itself.

I'm working on it! This is the first step - after this comes refining the design to be buildable with aluminum tubing and other parts I can dig up online.
