Hi, thank you for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The viewpoint at Kielder Water was a great spot and the beach is only 30 minutes from where we live so is a well-visited spot for us. Thanks again
Well done 👍🏻 Always good to get the first trip done and you certainly got to shake down the issues. We like the look of your local area. We haven’t explored that area before so thanks for the look around 😃👍🏻🚐💙 Trev n Sue
Wow, thanks for your comments. We had a few small issues to sort but it looks like we have them now in the bag ready for the next trip. The Northeast is a fantastic place to visit and has some amazing beaches, definitely well worth a visit 👍
Hi, thankks for your comments, Trow Rock Beach is an amazing beach and great for wind surfing etc. As you say the carpark is right on the beach. The carpark used to be run by "The Waters Edge Pub" but this is no longer open and is now in dis-repair, wich is a shame as it used to be a great pub, and at one time one half was a pub, then at 11pm this closed and the other half of the building opened up as a night club...right on the beach. This was before the all day drinking came in. The car park is now run by south tynside council. There is pay and display machines in the carpark, but the car park is slowly turning into sand dunes so not sure if it is still maintained or if anyone actually check for over night parking.
Just found your video, i have a self put together Ford connect. So im always looking at other builds. I watched your tour of the van and love the back shelf build. Im going to ponder on that idea, as i travel out for day and overnight trips with my wonderful ❤ but fear reactivate German Shepherd . Look forward to seeing your updates. Siobhan.
Hi, Thank you for your comments. The rear shelf idea is a great one to have. Sitting and cooking at the back works really well and it is a great place to dry the dog off after he has been in the water check out this video ruclips.net/video/ZbJIq4nO9OM/видео.html Thanks again and good luck with your rear shelf addition ;-)
Loved the video, thank you! Our favourite part of the country. Especially love the view point at Kielder, where you parked up. We are just looking at getting our first camper van and will be following your adventures. We holiday in the North East a couple of times a year (We live near Doncaster, although I'm originally from Wallsend). My opinion on the cookery master class/ Great, BUT never use utterly Butterly - use real butter. Anything made with so called "plant oils" is very bad and may even be carcinogenic. Diabetic (T2)? never eat pasta, or anything else made from wheat flour - far better to eat the steak! Like real butter, real fat is good for us. Sorry about the rant! Anyway, great video, subscribed!
Hi, great comment, thank you. Keilder and Northumberland is a fantastic part of the country and the parking spot at the viewpoint was great and only £10 per night although, the machine wasn't working when we were there. Real Butter, haha, I like the Butterish for frying things as the vegetable oil in the Butterish helps with the cooking although, real butter on my toast is definitely the way forward. Diabetic T2, hot cooked pasta has a high GI value but cold pasta has a much lower GI value and is actually better to eat. Allison struggled for years until she read a couple of books recently that really opened her eyes about different foods and if they are hot, cold or re-heated makes such a difference to the GI value and ultimately, your GI intake. Plus, she's not a fan of steak! Thanks again for your comments and I hope you stick with us on our trips.
@andtheDogs Hmm...now that is interesting. I hadn't heard of the hot/cold thing altering GI values (or anyone that's not keen on steak! kiddun 😂) Must look into it. I always cook steak in real butter (and steak without mushrooms is a sin! 😅) Each to their own of course! Also interesting what you say about the charge for overnighting at the view point. I don't remember seeing a machine/notice there - although at the time we weren't thinking about a camper van! Now we look every time we stop!. Of course we'll be sticking with you! Cheers.
Haha, yes four dogs check them out here ruclips.net/video/n2uR6ecJPqU/видео.html three of them are only small and all of them are no bother. The small ones all sleep in a cage on the driver seat and Bracken sleeps on the passenger seat. during the day they seem to just vanish in the van.
Just a bit concerned. The flames look a bit fierce. What gas are you using and is it the correct regulator. Does it have the correct gas jets. It may be an overfilled gas bottle. If its blackening bottom of pans. Its wrong gas to air mix. I am not an expert but compared to ours it looks wrong. Happy Adventures George and Jane Motorhome Adventures
Hi George and Jane, Thank you for your comments and your concern. A previous comment below mentioned the same thing and offered advice. I have just "in the last 5 Minutes" had this sorted and recorded for a future episode. It was the jets that was the issue. Thanks again and I hope you enjoyed the video.
Just watched your video and we have a little question to ask when you got your cooker was the jets changed to LPG as the flames look very high and this is only because on ignition the flames are to high . In conclusion natural gas jets have a bigger hole than LPG hope you don’t mind just thinking of your safety as hubby is an LPG gas fitter . We have subscribe and watching out for more vids
Wow, thank you for your advice, it's so kind of you. We bought the hob from Amazon (NOXTON) gas hob. I can't remember seeing these but I've checked my previous order and apparently, it does come with the kit. I can't say for sure if mine did. Can you recommend a set I can purchase from Amazon that would fit? The seller is in HK so I'm not sure if making contact would be an option. If you can recommend a set for me that would be fantastic. Thanks again for your comments, help and subscription.
unfortunately the packaging and box is long gone, so if they were in the boxI've thrown them out. I've seen loads on Amazon but not sure if there is a certain size, thread/hole I should be looking for. Thanks again@@HeatherWilliams-y9l
7 mil box spanner remove jet look at size cone on side and flat will be on top amazon do jet packs which you will need to get a jet 10%less ie 115 will mean lpg 86 or 87
Just to say thank you again. I have found the original jets and managed to fit them. Everything working great now and will be in a future episode. Thank you
You need to open a window to.cook inside of your van or you risk carbon monoxide poisoning! You would also be better a fast that has a high smoke point. Spreads have to much water in them and with the lid on you will stew the beef.
Hi, Thank you for your comment. Whilst cooking the steak I did have the driver and passenger windows cracked open a couple of inches and I have a carbon monoxide alarm on the side of the van just above the cooker. I normally use "Butterish" as the oil in this helps with the cooking, and the lid contains the heat and helps cook the top. I do my bacon and my fried eggs exactly the same way😧 I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks again for watching.
Hi, Thanks for your comment. Haha, to be honest, she's not a fan of steak. When it comes to diabetes it's not always the carbs. Hot pasta is carbs and has a high GI value but with cold pasta, the GI value is less than half, it's like a miracle. Thanks again.
Glad it is sorted Heather and Chris
Glad to hear you are feeling better....
Thank you.
Hi buddy looking forward to this keep up the good 🎉
Hi, Thanks for your kind comments, I'm looking forward to adding more, plus more videos about daily life and the campervan with our health conditions.
Living the dream 😊
It certainly is😁 thanks.
Aren't we lucky to have such beautiful places just a hop, skip and a jump away.
Great videos, thank you for sharing.
Glad I met you today at Malton :)
Thank you for your lovely comment, you are absolutely right, the UK has so much to offer and is there for everyone to enjoy.
Enjoyed your video, some good ideas for places to visit

I'm just over the Water in Wallsend. We will be travelling soon too 😊

That looked a great beach and straight from the car park to the beach, can you overnight in that car park 😁

The jets are in a very small plastic wrap you may find them in the box if not hubby is trying to locate some

Why couldn’t the wife eat steak for having diabetes but then ate pasta full of carbs? 🤔
