If I tell you stories of Cape Coast in the late 50s and early 60s, the present generation will not believe them. I was born in Cape Coast , Idan street. One of the story is that my friends and I went to dance at the Cape Coast University. The dance closed around 1am. My friends and I walked all the way from the university to Idan. Before getting to Idan street from Anafo market, you have to decesend a small hill. The right of the hill is Atlantic Ocean and the left a rubbish dump. We reached the area around 2:30am and we saw a lot of fire balls in the beach. Later that day I told my parents what my friends and I saw and they told us they are witches having a meeting. In 1962, a ghost car appeared in our neighborhood around 2am.

AKOHWIS3M nkoaa, the question was how did OGUAA start? I believe the answer should start from when our ancestors the AKAN people arrived from EGYPT through TECHIMAN to present-day OGUAA. The Ashantis who were part of the group(AKAN) but not called Ashantis at the time kept falling behind during the migration, the group in front had to constantly yell at them to hurry, it became very obvious that they were not listening to the instructions to hurry, hence the group in front started calling them ASO-ANTSE-FO or ESUANTSEFO when they got to DENKYIRA area, they were left behind and continued their journey towards the coast where they became the MFANTSEFO
