To the Dad, you did not fail your kids. You are present. And you were present. Nobody is a perfect parent. What matters is that you are there for them. Staying home over a year after their Mom left so that they wouldn’t feel abandoned is an incredible act from a father. I hope your boys tell you what a good dad you were to them.
That is heartbreaking to hear Jamie’s dad say “I wasn’t a good dad”. I mean there is no such thing as a perfect parent. But he took what at least a year off work to be home with them after the mom left. He stayed, he showed up and he is still showing up. So I hope at some point he realizes what a good man he is! What he has done for his sons, and how proud he should be of himself for doing all he did for his children! He is an amazing father and his son is an amazing father because of him! ❤
Thank goodness for the nurse working with the man with his thumb hanging off. The plastics doctor was a bit rough when straightening his arm, the nurse said in a stern voice "gentle gentle". I would have her fighting for me anytime
I hope Jamie does tell his father how much he loves him. His father, Maz, put his family first after his separation. It’s sad to think that he doesn’t think he did a good job when it’s apparent he did because how good of a job Jamie is in his parenting skills. The world needs more men like.Maz who will do the right thing by their families.
I am amazed that John lived. Aneurysms are serious, and a burst aneurysm is usually fatal. It just goes to show the advanced medical intervention in the day in which we live is truly on the edge. The training and expertise of the medical team was superior in order to save John’s life. I applaud them! 👏 Seeing John’s smile at the end would certainly give each person on the staff caring for John, a smile as well. 😀
I was a single parent with 3 sons. Sir, I'm sure you were a good & loving father. Your boys know you did what you could. Stop worrying that you weren't a good father.
I was shocked to see how thin and frail John appeared after those 4 months of recovery! He is such a fighter and is so incredibly lucky to be alive! So proud of the amazingly skilled surgeons and nurses performing his surgery. That is a true demonstration of thinking on your feet and being able to stay calm, adapt and tackle the worst case scenario in high risk surgery. I hope that the team was celebrated for this accomplishment because it was certainly a very stressful surgery and definitely not an easy feat that they pulled off! Best wishes to John and his family as well, hoping they continue to do well for many years to come!
Mr. Maz: Most sons would fall on their knees & pray to have a father such as yourself ! You took 1&1/2 years off of work for their well being after they were abandoned by their mother ! I think that you’re a hero ! Just look at what a wonderful son you’ve raised ! Cheers to you ! ❤
I've had a couple of aortic replacements, one dissection, same as this one. My Dad and Bro both had aortic dissections too. I was in My early 30's, My Bro was 27yo. We all have marfan syndrome. Didn't know because Dad was adopted.
The most beautiful episode! Jaime's dad was so special ❤❤ So glad the gentleman made it thru the surgery! 💜 My dad didn't many years ago and he was alone at the hospital as I was far away.....😢
Mr. Maz, everyone thinks they could do a better job of raising their kids if they knew then what they know now. You have raised 2 great sons. That is the benchmark of being a great parent!!
"Cool as a cucumber...", isn't she just the cutest nurse!---Always great stories. I'm frequently amazed at the number of folks in the waiting room who have consented to be wired for sound.
@aprilstar3819 What would cause you to laugh when a patient receives pain relief? They more than deserve it based on what the medical staff often puts a patient through which is unnecessary pain which is often.
Are you referring to Noel - with the thumb? He really did go to a happy place, didn’t he. “What did you give me?” Did he say he was drunk? “Just going to have some tea.” That was a good laugh. I’m so glad he still had his thumb - at least at the 4-month mark.
Mr. Maz sir, no one thinks that they are a good parent. No one. If they do, they’re lying to themselves!! You do the best you can and leave the rest in God’s hands!! ❤
Maz - you are an honourable man. You kept your children safe and happy. You need to find a partner to share your life with. Your children would probably be very happy for you. Take care!🇨🇦
Jamie's dad is amazing and don't wait to tell him you love him to bits, life is so uncertain. I was thrilled to see that gentleman survived that AAA, I lost my sister last year to an undetected AAA that ruptured...I too have a AAA (they say it's genetic) and have the best vascular doc at UCSF Dr. Hiramoto who does "watchful treatment" and keeps an eye on it and hopefully I too will be a success case. Love these videos, love those docs and staff members.❤
I worked for the police for 15yrs and have seen some awful stuff, even crime scene photos that I would never want to see again. So not much makes me queasy but that thumb hanging off with the blood clots made me feel sick. And the smell of blood is very metallic and there is nothing like it. Kudos to all of these wonderful people!
The ambulance man helping John looks like he’s 16! Mr Maze you did good, being a single parent is hard and you did fantastic! Noel your hand, I shouldn’t have looked. That was something I can even put words in… but your high from the meds!
My Dad cut off 1/2 of his right index finger when he was young. He served in WWII, married & was the father of four. For fun when someone was taking pictures, he would put his index finger up to his nose so it looked like he had his finger in his nose. The look on some faces was hilarious!!!
I have an abdominal aortic aneurism that’s grown to 5.2 cm . My Vascular Surgeon is waiting until it grows to 6 cm . I’m 72 years old and live with a genetic disease I’ve gone through 60 surgeries thus far joint replacements and fusions , heart stents, bilateral renal stents, advanced deterioration of my brain all because of the genetic disease .
I loved this episode. Such wonderful dad stories this round. My parents passed, mom when I was 25 and dad when I just turned 32. I wish with everything I am that my mom could have met my two youngest, and my dad had met my youngest. I wish I had the time with them. My mom was such an amazing grandma and mother. That feeling of loss never leaves you. I’m trying to keep myself around longer for my kids and grandkids. The pain I’ve felt over the years is not something I want them to feel.

Jamie's Dad: Look at your young men and your obvious love and pride for them. You did well. You are a good Dad.

Jamie, tell your dad that you love him now...while you still can. You never know what's going to happen.

HES A "ROCK" FOR HIS GUYZ🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Maz is a wonderful, loving father. His sons are proof of that love.

These Drs and nurses at St George’s are just incredible. My absolute respect for each of them, what a team!
The most beautiful episode! Jaime's dad was so special ❤❤
So glad the gentleman made it thru the surgery! 💜
My dad didn't many years ago and he was alone at the hospital as I was far away.....😢
Had to watch all of this today of all days. Dad had a triple A. Thankfully he survived
These caregivers from specialists, porters, receptionist, volunteer r just the BEST👍👍👏👏✔️🙃one of my favorite medical shows
Mr. Maz, everyone thinks they could do a better job of raising their kids if they knew then what they know now. You have raised 2 great sons. That is the benchmark of being a great parent!!

Really do have to laugh a bit when the patients get pain relievers.
? Why?

@@helensarkisian7491 Noel *definitely* got the good drugs
I also enjoy the moments when a patient gets loopy from the pain medication. It brings a little bit of levity to an otherwise stressful situation.

This episode was particularly heartwarming. Godspeed to all.
Banjay Bluelight is a very, very good channel. 🇨🇦
How very talented doctors who know what they are doing God bless them and the there patients
How lucky we could all have been to have a dad like Maz !! What a wonderful man and sons !❤
Love the one you taking me back to work lol
You are a great dad…YOU STAYED!!!!
Good Dad
Dear Mr. Maz, Hell no. You clearly did Not fail your boys.
Just the fact that John is asking himself those questions tells me he was a good dad. Thoughtful. He is too hard on himself.
You WERE a GREAT DAD !!!
Maz is so lovely. Great personality.
Jamie's dad is amazing and don't wait to tell him you love him to bits, life is so uncertain. ".... They don't need credit, they're all on monthly plans, bruv." 😂 That made me legit lol
Im so glad everyone survived, such a heartfelt show!!!

I really like Dr. Mohammed! Good doctor!
Love These Drs. ~Nurses~ALL THE STAFF❤❤❤

Fantastic episode!❤ I miss my daddy!

This one hit close to home. I lost my dad to an AAA and he was gone almost instantly. He was 67.
John is so lucky, very few people survive a triple A that has ruptured.
I believe Jamie’s dad is a good father & hope he knows that now.
28:52 i love to see ppl getting the good pain relief for first time lol😂
Fantastic episode. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️🏥.
Glad that you’re OK now !
Continued good health to you ! ❤🎉❤
Yay! New episode!
The dudes reaction to ketamine was hilarious! Are y’all taking me back to work ? 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️OOOhhhhhhhhhhh
After the episode with that one woman's ankle, even this man's hand doesn't phase me 😂

Wonderful out comes for all. Thanks for the video
God bless you, John!
bless John's heart ❤
OMG. I cannot believe they put a content warning on this.

Jamie’s dad sounds like a great dad. Just realizing that he can’t be mom is enough. I too am a traditionalist. There is nothing wrong with that.
I'm so happy for John and his son!! God bless them both!
I love these
Another great episode!
Ty
Gotta love British Doctors, lmao!
"It is pretty much fatal"... In my country he would have gone "Operation, now, you are dying, ja!".

Wow, glad John survived his surgery but didn’t they feed him while recuperating?
Maz💔
Insurance on your car or motorcycle is not required in the UK?
I cant download this video, even when I confirm
Why he dont got nobody.. hope they fix his hand
Dr Mohammed reminds me of Adrian Paul!
Jamie is such a handsome man..whew!
👍🙏🙋🏻♀️
Why did they change the "breathe in and hold your breath" from a female comforting voice to a robotic male voice??
It seems patients are raced to the hospital, but once they get there they lay in A&E for quite a long time.
Please can the person in charge of the subtitles try and rea what he has written. Sometimes i makes no sense.
It's not paying for me even after clicking on yes to proceed
Nothing happens when it's supposed to play. The screen stays black.
