    Not an Asuka main but I surf many characters and the 2,3 is really shocking for me. A 12f punish, 25 damage, launch punishable, wall splats, doesn't knock down, I guess you could dash up for a 1+2/d1+2 mixup but it's very underwhelming for a 12f punish. It's not like she has a really strong 13f to compensate for that either when her 10f is already one of the weakest. Mishimas 1,1,2 does the same damage, knock down into oki for a 10f hit confirmable punisher while Asuka lives with this.

    Movement would be epic, and her punishment never should have been nerfed. But I'm relatively content with how she is now because she works and shes fun, and holy moly she can be satisfying with hitting some of her moves. One thing I'll never be happy about though is the removal of half her strings, no 1,4 1+4 infinite no f3 unblockable out of strings no 1,1 can can etc

      He has been very vocal on Twitter that he thinks she was over buffed but is ready to have fun with it anyway.
      And he’s right, wr1+2 is about to be very, very stupid. Hopefully it doesn’t stay that way for long.

    i'm a newbie to tekken online, but In general it feels like asuka's moveset is really barebones since here introduction in t5 , new low sounds like a great idea, I'd love asuka to get new moves in line with jun and jin kazama styles

    Maybe make it so u2 removes grrey health with Naniwa Gusto on, this system isn't really all that useful, but that would give it great use

    I would also really appreciate them taking away ff1's whiff animation, making CH (1,1,)3 and (f1,)3 launch again, and making uf3 -1 on block again, or at least increasing the lower hitbox of the move. The amount of times it whiffs against crouch recovering opponents is insane

    On FF1, either remove the huge whiff animation or improve the tracking.
    DB3 improved tracking and reduced knock back on hit might be enough to not need a new low.

    As an asuka main I would only want 3 things. A +1 on block 10-11 frame punch on block. Everyone has one except her. Even the bear. Jack is weird in that for its 2 instead of 1, but is +1. The second thing is for 2, 3 to tornado. It is her fastest punish and doesn't lead to anything. Making it a tornado just means she can't get a full combo from I as a punish and it is still fair since it starts high with poor tracking. The third thing I would want is for her to have her forward 2 go further. Being able to using it to wif punish from farther out helps balance out how compact she feels now while still being fair at -17 on block. Better plus on block mid options would be nice not essential to me. I'm not asking for her to move up the tier list. Just some quality of life moves to not feel as helpless vs the do nothing style employed at higher ranks vs her and constant side step rights.

    Nani wa gusto low. Nwg doesn't feel that great to me, it needs a buffed low to really be dangerous.

    yeah, movement buff would be great, because it seems like you don't get a chance for a win right now if you're facing characters with good sidesteps like Lili (love that character too, but I don't like meeting her ingame)

    Her movement buff can make her whiff punish much more viable. Her 2,3 should have pushback or not be launch punishable.

    I just want her combos to be more consistent or easier. UF1+2 shouldnt miss after Tornado. F4 Combo should be easier.

    My buffs are mainly for consistency and my playstyle. ws2 to be 13f not 13-14, df4/df1 tracking, more damage on 1,3 jab punish, db3 pushback reduced and db1 -9 😂 Would mind a new low, maybe make the second hit of 1,(3) it’s own low and make the input d4

    She definitely needs a way to remove grey health, the opponent her recover nearly all the health you take from them in a combo, it's really annoying

    Just give her the low from b1+4 as a standalone low (db3+4?). Up the damage. Make it unsafe but not too unsafe. Probably reduce the frame advantage. Or replace b1 with something worth a damn (a version of fc df2 except with the left hand instead).

      The b1+4 low hit being +5 with tracking is pretty good. As a solo option I dunno? I was thinking giving her back her 1, 3 kick as a standalone move at 15 frames start up and 0 on hit with some tracking

    1. make asuka's df1 like raven df1 to fix her poor tracking

    id say make uf2 confirmable for asukas CH db3 or even make it plus 15 cause of how rewarding it can feel just landing a df2, also remove ff1's extra animation not needed for t8, didn't have it in t7 so there is no reason for it to be in t8

      If she gets a safe SS2 then everyone such as Hwoarang and Eddy should get safe sidestep punches too

    I hope they buff her unique throw mix tbh. I think that’s an interesting tool for the character but you don’t see it used much cause there aren’t that many good throw setups and the low is like -17.
    It feels really shitty to play a defensive character who has to bet their life half the time they want to play offense.

    I agree. Asuka was way better in T7. I think she is very weak in T8.

    Honestly, Asuka's not even the problem at this point. The game is so fundamentally broken that until they nerf the hell out of 1/3 of the roster, no changes to Asuka are going to help. This game will die competitively unless the balance patch next month makes DRASTIC changes (not holding my breath)

      Yes but it can be punished up close and for the Playstyle Fergus is talking about it's not going to work since the recovery can be too much to get that whiff punish.

    LIke ive being saying her movement sucks and if they dont want to give her an offensive tool make her movement better. They need to buff her jab only jab in game at -2 make it 0. db4 should be 19-20 frames to give her more of that scary okizeme. we really dont need new moves and while rising 3 needs to be one frame faster and make her first hit on 1+4 0 on the first hit so u can differentiatie from jun and that could our somewhat 14 frame low or another option. need a faster plus frame around besides runing 1+2 around 15-17. she will be alright with that i guess. agree with punishment if not 12 frame punish otherwise instead make her two 10 frame punish do around 2 more points of damage other characters have at least 10 frames with near 30 damage. Also fix the hit box or range on db 1,4 or are inconsistent in combos or 4 f2 this moves need range if dont give her the movement. This one is my greedy maybe make her naniwa affect another one of her skills between 15-20 or give one skill in between 15 -20 chip damage.

    asuka alreadyy only fans service char, harada doesnt consider this char to be strong , at least like kunimitsu it get buff and get really strong. asuka has too much move that can be punish, bad jab,low damage, this is so sad

    Imo Asuka shouldn't be able to charge her rage art its an annoying gimmick that just lets her get away with a rage art move thats suppose to be unsafe on block. Others for the most part are -15 why does she get to play a mind game where if you block the hold version now she pushes you back and resets the neutral completely its just not good game design

    All of her legacy moves are too slow and too linear
