I think a lot of sitar players, and classical music players in general can benefit from this greatly. Meend is critical pillar for Indian classical music, thank you Guruji for explaining it so well. I can see myself coming back to this video a lot in future.
This lesson, like all the previous ones by Pandit Ramprapanna Bhattacharya, is simply wonderful, with their exceptional clarity, logical progression and practicality. Watching them and following them are like learning face to face from a guru. These are going to be extremely valuable treasures for both current and future generations of sitar learners.

I am very grateful to have such a wonderful illustration about Aalaap and Jodalaap. You were talking about not dragging the video, but in fact, it took me more than 45 minutes to see this 19:25 minute video. In the entire video, you have been using your middle finger for Meend all the time. My question is, when should you use your first finger for meend? Secondly, I am thinking of practicing this and Sargam simultaneously. Because after about 10-15 minutes of practicing Sargam, my first finger gets tired. So it will get rest if I do Aalaap practice using the middle finger. Will this be the correct approach? I am also curious to know what you did to get rid of the cracking sound.
