Ive been re-learning to crochet for a couple months now. I used to crochet as a kid all the time but sort of forgot about it. Until I got sick with Covid last year and decided to crochet my entire family Christmas presents while I was bedridden. Its been nonstop since. Can’t wait to try this out!

😮 That measuring method is incredible!! My measurement was about an inch too long, but I've never managed to get such a good fit before.
I'm currently on the edging. I did it full length, cos no one needs to see my doughy pale belly, so far it's taken me about a fortnight, and using really thin yarn (Hobbii, erm, Twister???), so a lot of stitches and a lot of rows. It looks SO GOOD.
Okay, I am certainly making this…. I am an avid crocheter but I’ve never made summer items and I was a bit frustrated when I moved to a warm climate and now, because of you…..I can make a few tops that are appropriate for this weather.. thanks a million, I love your video and your explanation of this project, I will definitely be subscribing….. ❤

i see alot of people on youtube who decrease the same way, I prefer to go in the front loop of the first stitch and back loop of the second loop, then yarn over, pull through and work the stitch how it is supposed to go, depending on what you are doing. it looks better, imo.

what if I have VERY large shoulders?
This might be really dumb, but I have a question about the measurements.. I am I little confused how you are able to have to tight fitting tops and you don’t have a problem getting them on. In the video you were saying that you need to chain the circumference of your shoulders, but if you do that then the top will not be form fitting. This might be super simple and I’m just not understanding what is going.. but I’m a little slow to these kinds of things.
I thought that also, but for some reason it worked out and was the right size for me.
I think it may have to do with the circumference and you have to allow for your chest. I actually think you could take your chest measurements and that would work
