    Great video, Mary! I LOVE my Oran sandals…I wear them often. I also purchased the Oasis sandals to wear to work…honestly, my Orans are far more comfortable than my Oasis, but I smile and wear them proudly! ❤

    Mary, thank you for such an honest review! Your thoughts on the Hermès Oran slides really resonated with me. While the brand is important, comfort is key. Your insights were super helpful-looking forward to more of your content!

    I own two pairs of Oran sandals and I live in them during spring and summer time. I bought them when they were around 500 Euros and I brought them to the cobbler to add rubber soles. I would recommend it to protect them and to have more grip. Thanks for the review 💕

      Thank you so much for sharing! 💕 I love hearing that you’ve gotten so much wear out of your Oran sandals! Adding rubber soles is a smart idea (my preloved black ones already got new rubber soles from their previous owner) -definitely a great way to protect the leather and get more grip. I’m definitely going to consider doing that with mine aswell, especially since I want them to last. I wish I had gotten them back when they were around 500 Euros like you did! 😅 Thanks for the tip and for watching!

    Mary I’ve been thinking about the Oran sandals for a while. In the summer I was able to see them in person when we visited a mall in Michigan. I’m Canadian so of course the price was less in the U.S. My husband even liked them because of the wide range of colours. I posted a pic on my IG.🥰 I just checked the Canadian website and they’re $1,050. I checked and that’s 700 Euros. Maybe in Europe they’re less expensive. Either way it is a lot of money and we all know that it’s the name more than anything. I do love the design, however, and of course the quality. As our summer is over I will most likely wait until next year unless I fear the next price increase.😖 Thanks for sharing.🥰

      Thank you so much for sharing your experience! 😊 Wow, $1,050 CAD for the Oran sandals is definitely a big price tag! You're absolutely right-whether it’s in Canada, the U.S., or Europe, we all know that the biggest part of the cost is tied to the Hermès name. In Europe, they are a tad better priced at around 595 Euros at the moment - but with the constant price increases, who knows how long that will last 😅. The variety of beautiful colors is so tempting, isn't it? 🥰
      Maybe if you find them in a shade you love, it’ll be worth snapping them up before they go up even more. Either way, waiting until next summer might be a smart move to give yourself time to decide. Let me know if you do get them eventually! Thanks again for watching 💖

      I bought mine in September 2022 here and n Toronto for 900$ tax included. I wore them with socks to break them in. Wore them almost everyday day for the past two summers and they still look brand new.

    I think the Hermes stuff is over priced but it looks great :) so ...
    But could you maybe do little modelling and try the sandals with some different outfits?
    Thanks

      @@joskimberly8638 there are two little clips included at the end of the video, how I wore the slides. But thank you for the video idea, I might plan an Hermes Oran outfit video for upcoming spring/summer (since now heading into fall/winter it wouldn’t perform that well) 🧡

    Luxury shoes do not love me. And I never have an issue with good quality, non luxury brands. I wear a basic size (US 7M) have no foot/arch issues. But luxury shoes just don’t work for me. If I have a wedding to go to I will deal with the pain in the name of fashion. But for everyday? No. I won’t do it

      Buy shoes from shoecrafters, although i think ferragamo makes great shoes, sneakers from sportswear makers (adidas etc) sunglasses from maui jim or ray ban etc. Don't get sucked into the designer hype.

    • @LuMiLevelUp
      @LuMiLevelUp  18 дней назад

      I totally get where you're coming from! Luxury shoes can be so hit or miss when it comes to comfort, and it’s frustrating when they don’t live up to the hype and comfort, especially for everyday wear. I think there's definitely a difference between wearing them for a special occasion versus putting up with discomfort daily. It’s like we all love the idea of luxury, but sometimes the reality is that non-luxury brands just make shoes that are so much easier on the feet! Thanks for sharing your experience-it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who feels this way!

    In my opinion luxury shoes (and basically every shoe) should not need 15 times to break them in 🫣😅 but I’m kind of happy I haven’t given in to the Oran slides temptation 😆

      Haha, right?! No shoe should require a 15-day training camp just to feel comfy! 😂 Who needs blisters when you can have happy feet?
