Good review, keep em coming! I have the 2x2.5 m ARB awning been for nearly 3 years now, can’t fault. Works first time every time. You pay your money , you take your choice. IMHO money well spent. Thanks for making it .
Pretty good review. I've been thinking about getting an awning for my Delica. What you said about the King's awning compared to the Expensive one makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the info, it's good to hear unbiased reviews.
My mate also raves about his ARB awning.....until it fell off on the Gibb river road and he nearly lost it except he saw it come off. They are only pop riveted on and he has now had to drill and put bolts through it. I have the Kings and although they are a third of the price and supposedly inferior, its done me well for almost 5 years now.....and hasn't fallen off..
Very interesting Matty. I’ve been pondering awnings and also thinking about the 270 etc. never had an awning before. Have a couple of tarps which I have as standby shade and shelter. So I have put off getting and awning as I’m a bit bewildered by all the choices etc. this video was very useful. I was always under the impression that ARB was ok but super expensive. I will definitely have a look at this one now. Cheers. Paul
I’m glad to hear that this helped mate. I was getting quite bewildered with it all myself, looking into the 270°. A lot of options. I can only recommend looking honestly at how you currently camp, and what works for you, and then making a purchase that stick with that theme. That truly is the best outcome. Yeah I mean, anything with ARB on it is pretty expensive. This one in my opinion is worth the money though.
Good review, thanks. One question, does it have a sail track or similar off the front end. I have a mesh sunshade (with rope you slide into track), would be useful if can attatch to that awning.
Appreciate this video, just wondering if there's a sail track on the backing plate still like the kings? Incase you didn't want to use the included strip lighting in the middle. Cheers
Thanks mate. How have you found the bag with regard to rain-is it waterproof. I’m tossing up either Darche or ARB, but sounds like there issues with Darche bag leaking. Thanks
Hi, Just wondering how the awning is pegged down? Does it have guy ropes from the top, or is it pegged at the base? I ask because I couldn't quite see how it was done in your video. Cheers Ian.

As an American who grew up in NY let me say that was a great review despite my need for subtitles.
Hahaha good stuff mate!
Maybe you should do Australian language classes
Thanks for the review, you helped me make up my mind and keep them coming, its nice to see a review from someone who's not sponsored by a company.
Thanks mate!
Best awning review - I’m convinced. Will definitely get an ARB awning now 🤙🏻

Good video, no nonsense. Well done.
Thanks mate very much appreciate the comment!
awesome review! also apparently that corner patch is for abrasion resistance as your supposed to roll the awning up over not under
Ah there ya go, good to know!
I got one yesterday 😍
Are there any tips for keeping it
standing without damage during a 45 km/h storm?
Nailed it. Awesome review. Thank you.

Hey Mate, loved your video. What awning mounts did you use?
Nice, How much it costs?

@@westralianoffroad Cheers!
hi Matty , do you know the model number of that awning ? I like the led strip set up but can't find one with it on it
Honestly I couldn’t tell ya mate. But I do know that these come with the lights as standard.
Good stuff!

Thanks mate. How have you found the bag with regard to rain-is it waterproof. I’m tossing up either Darche or ARB, but sounds like there issues with Darche bag leaking. Thanks
Hey mate. No no issues with the bag whatsoever. Very waterproof, strong good quality.
@@westralianoffroad Thanks, much appreciated.

Yeah mate it has guy ropes. At this point I just hadn’t set the up.
Thanks for that review it was really helpful. What hat is that?
Good stuff mate glad to hear! It’s an Akubra!

Unfortunately not mate.
@@westralianoffroad thanks much
Curious snorkel on the passenger side ( please explain)
Yeah mate the air box & intake are on the left in the patrol.
@@westralianoffroad I apologise had a Pauline Hanson moment thought it was a Landcruiser.
@@tomspathis5969 🤣
After 1 year .. do you still like the arb awning?
Love it mate!
@WESTRALIAN OFFROAD after another year, still holding up?!
How much was it mate?
$379 I think I paid from memory.
The kings awning is good value for money if you only use it 4 times a year.
