We actually just booked a 8 night trip to Hyatt Ziva in Cabo starting December 7th. Non stop from Seattle for a good price. When I say good price thatโs assuming the resort is up and running as normal. If half of the resort is closed down due to Covid still then not a good price. Haha. Havenโt been to Cabo area in like 6 years. We are normally Riviera Maya people. I need a vacation BAD !
Thatโs great! And lucky you to have a nonstop flight. Iโm hopeful that weโll resume any flights to Mexico in May but am not holding my breath. I think youโll be fine with the resort - I canโt see it being on further restrictions when all Americans (their main tourists) have been vaccinated. Fingers crossed for ya.

Any news it the travel agent world about the end of the 14 day quarantine? I canโt afford to take that much time off on the return to Canada
No changes yet BUT exciting news possibly tomorrow as we hope to hear the decision from the Supreme Court challenge to the mandatory 3-night hotel quarantine. If it's removed, watch for an update video as soon as the news breaks.
With more pressure to open the border from the USA, I suspect that we'll hear of changes in the coming weeks or month, especially as more Canadians receive their 1st vaccine dose. If you are planning a trip, I would encourage you to book now with either WestJet Vacations or Air Canada Vacations and purchase their cancellation insurance. It's $50 or $100 correspondingly, and allows you to cancel for a full refund back to original form of payment (not a voucher) as long as you do so 25 or more days prior to departure. Prices are amazing now but as things open up, they're going to skyrocket from pent up demand.

UPDATE: the interim injunction for the hotel quarantine was denied, but the case is moving forward. I do think that the biggest game changer will be if the US can vaccinate everyone by May 1. Itโll be difficult to justify continued restrictions on a country that has achieved its goal before us. Time will tell.
Hi is there a quarantine in Hyatt ziva Cancun as well? I want to do a big day preview over there
@@chadm4885 the quarantine applies to travellers returning home to Canada or in some cases, the US. No quarantine upon arrival in Cancun so you are good to go!

This is a great idea! My wife & I got married 8 years ago @ the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun. Neither 1 of us had ever stayed there. We just took a chance & thankfully it turned out AMAZING!!! I do like this idea though for only $500!

Hyatt Ziva Cancun is #2 - love the craft beer pub, candy shop, Mexican restaurant & spectacular views.
Hmm I'm thinking I should just do a video on all of the resorts & the key things I love about them... Stay tuned!
