And it's still rock, so even if you could withstand the heat you still wouldn't actually sink into it. You just aren't dense enough
This is a legitimately interesting take on Creeper World gameplay! I like it.

Yup, IXE is just Particle Fleet and Creeper World 2 smashed together.
This demo is _SUPER fun_ to play. It really hits that nostalgia itch while also feeling quite novel. Also Tom: Acid + Pixelium makes Pit Liquid which can eat away at the Creeper.
The only thing I wish the demo had was a help section about the materials like it does for the enemies & units, because knowing that you can shoot through Blockium and other things really helps you come up with really cool tactics. A lot of these levels are more fun to replay once you know more about some of the interactions, but especially Level 3 and the Bonus level.
For this one, I started off inside the mine and used a Portal to pin the Emitter into the corner to export super fast. Then I just filled it with AC, and slowly cut my way through to take out the Phantoms and drain the Lava & Molten Metal into the ground, and worked my way up. Used a bomb once just for fun, but they'd be WAY more important if you started from the top with the big AC pool.
I always seem to end up with literally 1-2 Creeper left in sand that I had to aggressively hunt down. (Also, I have managed to keep T.O.M. alive on all the levels he's in, which is a fun little challenge).
I know at a glance this may not be everybody's jam, but I think if you check out the demo you might find it a _lot_ more engaging than you expect. I can't even imagine what sort of stuff the full game and the CW community will come up with once it's properly out!
in the "eye" menu you can make the creeper glow, it helps a lot to find the last particles 😀

Also, you can park your ships inside the blockium and fire out from it. It's an amazing resource.

Every time he digs through a wall that's blocking away creep, all I can think of is the "IT"S GONNA FLOOD" clip from the Poo Lagoon playthrough.

if you hold 'alt' with a ship selectected, the outline turns into a digger marking brush

I'm impressed that Tom managed this mission without needing the anti-creeper in the top right.
Also, there's an option in the visibility menu to increase the visibility of creeper. This adds a huge glow around it which makes finding the last remaining creeper traces much easier.

Why does the creeper occasionally just phase through the wall?
when it's displaced by a heavier substance it's pushed up, and if it's blocked it'll keep moving up until it reaches an empty space

meh, i prefered creeper world 4, that's how i discovered this channel.
2D sprites and moving ship, isn't really fun to watch.
This game seems alright but I'm having a hard time getting over the 1995 graphics aesthetic... just looks "old" to me.
And just mechanics wise it seems like a step back from CW4. It's neat but it FEELS like it should be the precursor to CW4 not the next game
@@magicstew45 Yeah... I would have rather paid $5-$10 for a CW4 DLC containing a new campaign with a dozen or so levels.
