I've been using those small plastic condiment cups for years and they're very handy to store small amounts of paint. Just a word of caution, make sure you buy cups made from polypropylene, not polystyrene. Polypropylene with have a number 5 in a triangle with the letters PP under it. Look closely at the bottom of the cups and you should see these symbols. Polypropylene is solvent proof and will hold up to solvent based paints and thinners. Polystyrene will melt instantly. Thanks for another great video!
I bought two lots of this stuff from The Works about three months ago and I'm glad you did this review because it proved to me that the dilution I used was about right, you can't really spray them straight out of the bottle unless you use more pressure and a bigger nozzle. This threw me off a bit as you do have to work at layering it to get your tones right and to be honest I'm still on the fence about this brand because you do need other levels of colour, the red being a good example, maybe you should see how they mix with the FW range. For beginners.. its a no brainer.
Great vid, i've got a few weeks off soon for an operation so i'm going to put my time into airbrushing . I've looked at these inks and thought should i ?. But as i'm getting back into airbrushing they sound like a cheap option , i've been stocking up on createx and vallejo paints but what i remember from the past there's always a colour thats missing LOL .
i got some inks , i wanted black ink so that i can make tree and bushes sillouettes for sunset scenes😊 i plan to use the black ink in the water brush pens 😊
A lot of us use the medication cups to mix paint and thinners and please tell me about your paper roll holders under the table complete mounting hangers multiple rolls l am looking but some are expensive and bulky but maybe wall mount is possible
They do look like they are nice inks and for the money they must be worth a punt, never heard of The Works shops before but don't forget Rob I do live in Norfolk so all our shops just sells turnips and cabbages🥬🥔 😂
Just my luck I've just purchased some FW inks and then I see this little review oh well maybe next time it will be Crawford and Black. Nice reiw though mate.
Now rod whats your thoughts on that ink standing up on bike parts hard surfaces or plastics, does it say how light fast it is just a thought buddy,,good video keep em coming Dave ,,
Are inks compatible for tinting aqueous and lacquer varnish/clear coats? Major issue, clear coat over chrome paint, dulls the chrome layers. Rambling, sorry, new topic. Good vid, thx.
Great video for me. I've just come back into airbrushing after giving up way back in time, due to lack of training. ( When Tamiya paint was 23ml jars not 10ml and quarter of the price). I just need a colour mixing wheel now as the colour choice is low in these. I've just purchased an Evo 2024 Will these inks clean out with just water or will I need IPA to clean properly? Hope you can keep up the good work. Thanks.

You can flush out with water or a good airbrush cleaner
Hi Rob, how do I contact you to discuss a commission piece? It's to recreate a WW2 B17 Bomber Nose art. Cheers! RAB

What is the difference between ink and paint...? I use curry takeaway pots as my paint pots 50ml tubs with lids 😂
