I get it. I know how to do my own makeup with my own skin and face in the style that I like. I have no idea how to do any other looks or how different face shapes or skin types might need to be done differently, and I don't know much about different products. I just know what I like on my own face.

eczema gal here! i just use oils as my moisturizers now, my skin loves avocado oil, vitamin e oil, and coconut oil! (tho i've read mixed things about using coconut oil on the face, but it works alright for me). right now i'm doing a mix of vitamin e and a *tiny* drop of tea tree oil, but def avoid too much of it cause it can be drying! also any time my skin is really acting up, using jamaican black castor oil has been soo helpful. i usually leave it on dry patches overnight, it definitely takes some time to heal but i think it's helped a lot! ESPECIALLY for lip eczema!!
also for primer (and all their face makeup really) - the too faced born this way line is amazing!! i'm sure there's more "natural" type of products out there but it feels so nice and healthy on the skin, also smells delicious cause there's coconut water in it. and they're cruelty free! (their parent company isn't tho)

    1. I use primer first. I've used both Rimmel and Nude by nature and they were both great for my eyeliner. One of my eyes is deeper set than the other and the liner would always smudge. No more, though.
    2. The matte red lipstick by Rimmel "firestarter" is my go-to red and it's wonderful. Stays on all day! Which brings me to
    3. The easiest way to take off a matte lipstick if you don't feel like putting miccelar water on your lips is Vaseline. Put some on, let it sit for about a minute or so, then wipe.

I have heard and read from a number of sources that if you have skin sensitivities, you might try only 30SPF sunscreen. 30 SPF blocks about 97% of UVB rays (the ones that produce sunburns). In higher SPFs, you aren't really getting much more protection (about 1% higher), however they use much more of the chemicals that might trigger a skin reaction.

Great products for sensitive skin (I have eczema): the Ordinary Squaline Cleanser- great face cleanser that also takes off makeup. I also use their hyaluronic acid and niacinamide/zinc. First Aid Beauty also makes great products targeted at those with skin sensitivities especially eczema. The Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum I use once a day. They also have an ultra repair cream that works great for general body use. The Chemistry brand also has a heavy duty hand cream: Extreme Hydration Concentrate which is great if you wash your hands a lot. I’ve also started using pure lanolin for cracked skin - it’s the moisturizer that comes from sheep/found in their wool. Just be careful cause it is almost impossible to wash off which means it’s an amazing moisturizer. There are synthetic versions as well if you are allergic to it. Aquaphor contains a synthetic version amongst its ingredients.

Hello lovely Jessica! I do also struggle with removing my long last lipsticks and what I've found that makes it all out much more easily is organic coconut oil. I hope you are not allergic to it. Another great reason to use it as makeup remover in general is that it has natural cleaning and antiaging properties and it also moisturizes your skin a little more and makes it glowing and gorgeous looking in the morning. Its cruelty free, it's cheaper than other makeup removers and it last way more. Thank you for your content you are amazing.

A hint for removal of Maybelline Superstay products: use oil. Oily eye makeup remover will work to remove it without ten minutes of scrubbing. In a pinch, even a cotton pad with some olive oil will work. But be warned: oily food will also remove these products. If you're planning to eat greasy food, make sure you've got your tube with you for touch-ups!

Not sure if this will be seen, but I have a tip for removing the Maybelline Superstay Lipstick! First, they have a remover you can buy and just put that over the lipstick when you're done wearing it. You can even buy it online! However, if you don't have any, simple vaseline works! Plop some on for a minute and then wipe it off with a tissue or makeup wipe. No more painful rubbing your lips raw because that lipstick is so good! Haha. 🤗

This answered questions I had like, "I wonder why she prefers that lip product over a liquid lip?" but now I have others like, "Sunblock indoors?"
I mostly cope by keeping a general vampire schedule but when I have to slay in daylight mostly use the high spf makeup. As for cruelty free stuff, I don't know that it really applies outside the technicalities of selling in China since there isn't any point left for animal testing any makeup products (it's just humans from here on out) so the designations change with the level of processing bureaucracy for the most part, not meaning to undermine anyone's good intentions. I've gone through phases of sensitivity but since reactions and skin types are so particular, I could try to point you at things depending on your specific needs?

These ingredient-conscious brands also tend to be conscious in many other ways too so are generally cruelty free, use ethically source ingredients and have recycled/reusable packaging. Naturisimo is a UK-friendly stockist ( I love the brand Kosas especially (owned by a gorgeous boss-lady), and have heard only fantastic things about Kjaer Weis (stUnning packaging and higher coverage base products than Kosas) and ilia (their foundation is also a favourite of many)! xxxxx

Try using some coconut, almond, or other oil to remove the matte lipstick
Works for me every time 👍 👍

You can remove liquid lipstick with oil. Any oil that works for your skin should remove it.

I have highly sensitive, sheet colored face skin that breaks out into angry red and inflamed planetary formations anytime anything with pigment comes near my face.
I've had success with Tarte sea water foundation and smashbox foundations, both are considered cruelty free companies (however Tarte is owned by Kose who does test on animals when required by the law, and Smashbox is owned by Estee Lauder, which is NOT a cruelty free company).
I have also tried Pur foundations before which I believe are vegan and cruelty free, however the Pur foundations didn't have the same coverage as the Smashbox or even Tarte foundations.

I use The Ordinary foundations. Cruelty free, fragrance free, and a TON of shades and undertones. It hasn’t upset my eczema or rosacea yet. I prefer the serum one but a the coverage one is good too. Also it’s really cheap.

I have really sensitive, dry skin and rosacea that is a lasting side effect of the cystic acne I used to have due to allergies. My cheeks basically flush uncontrollably and feel like they're on fire, so I also have to be really careful with my products. I use a lot of urban decay and bare minerals (all nighter foundation and concealer, bronzer, and primer from BM, I can be more specific if anyone needs). I've never had a reaction from any of these products and both brands are cruelty free.
I'm in love with the Jeffree Star setting powders but I'll have to get back to you on the quality of the concealer as it has not arrived yet :)

Nyx has a good reputation, as well as hypoallergenic products. Marcelle is another hypoallergenic brand and is non-comdeogenic, meaning it doesn't clog pores. Both have pale, yellow based foundations that are white as sheets. (I am also very pale and have a yellow undertone.) Nyx has a much larger section of colours and is affordable, and cruelty free Marcelle is also cruelty free, affordable, hypoallergenic, fragrence free and Dermatologist tested and I would recommend them for you, as their products don't irritate my skin (I have super sensitive skin due to my acne cream. My skin literally burns because of a moderate breeze. Seriously.) And their micellar water is a blessing as it takes off make up easily without irritation, and come with a convenient flat pump so you can pump straight into a cotton pad, or cloth.
But I am also not a professional, this is just what has been my experience.

BareMinerals! I have extremely sensitive skin. I can only use BareMinerals foundation and concelear. I haven't used their liquid foundations before though. It is the only thing I have used that works. I used Mac and my skin was so angry. Hope this helps! ❤ Happy Holidays!

I've been struggling to transition to cruelty-free products, too - for my pale, rosacea-plagued skin that seems to react more to products designed for sensitivity than to 'normal' ones. Comparing the guides on CrueltyFreeKitty and LogicalHarmony gives me some idea of the ones I want to try.
