African cichlids spawn like crazy. That 450 with African cichlids would look crazy nice with the red background, white sand and a bunch of flat rock with caves. I can't wait to see what you do with it man. Love your content by the way.
For the second pond make it a planted community tank use sand and pea gravel in it and had some large schools of small fish. You can add schools on every level.
Love the filtration set up on the thousand gallon ! The 450 should definitely be a African cichlid tank with some nice haps and peacocks ! And some nice water flow!

I wanna see 30 Clown Loaches, 3 or 4 Arowana, and 20 silver dollars and a few EBA’s in that new pond! Throw some aqua soil in mesh bags and line the back with some plants. Cap it off with some soft white sand and a giant driftwood piece. Okay maybe I need my own pond lol.

Love the pond man ,dude if you put the outlets at the surface of the water so it pushes water instead of pouring into the water for better gas exchange and more movement,you might get away with no wavemakers that way and maybe put some sort of nozzle on the end of the outlets for more pressure too .

Definitely set that smaller one I’m with Africans. I keep mine in a pond outside and the colors from top and all angles is awesome. The SA/CAs are cool, but don’t show much from an above view. I can send you videos of both of my African and SA/CA cichlid pond set ups if you want a comparison. Hit me up. 👍
Nice setup. You might consider how the water column is moving (or not) filtration wise. I see that your pump is in one corner and covered by that black bucket, so water going in will have to go over the top to the bucket. The return cascades the water, but not really pushes the water. You might be filtrating a section of the tank that is closest to the pump, but you might have some death zones. I would suggest using powerheads to move the water towards the pump. FYI, I once built an 840 gallon above ground wood pond and found out the hard way. I get you regarding the bucket and potential flooding. You might consider eliminating the bucket and using a shut off valve or simply drilling overflow holes to the tank's wall, just in case. A couple of floating water lilies might help with biological filtration too. Good luck.
My oh my the pond is looking awesome and the Scape and filtration is off the charts. As for the 450 I would go for African chiclids and watch them grow and breed.

Whatever u put in the little one make sure u get more bichirs mine are starting to eat floating food crazy looking like little gators popping the water all bichirs!!!!!
you should add a alligator gar to your 1000 gallon monster fish pond. that would be crazy. Then for your smaller 470 gallon pond, make that an all pirahna pond. Get like a big ass school of nothing but pirahanas for the smaller pond. I would get like 50 of them to mimic how they be in the wild. you been talking about getting pirahnas anyways. This is now the perfect opportunity to get them now that you have a huge pond for them. Not too many people on youtube have a pond full of pirahnas. That pirahna pond will grow your channel big time as the pirhanas get bigger they are going to be more exciting to watch on youtube. Especially if you start making pirhana feeding videos with them eating crazy stuff like live rats. That would be insane. Just throwing some ideas at you.

Looks good. I am jelly of your pothos! I am not sure about the filter in the can though. Unless the excess food or detritus is above the opening, near the surface, it isn't going to get sucked in to the filter.

Go with medium size south american cichlids! The peaceful ones can live in a community tank, such as festivums, geophagus, uaru and severums.
