Hi Bethany! Thanks for the Flitz love! Much appreciated! 👍👍👀 For pieces that are being polished where they are, you may want to consider masking off any areas where the finish might need protection just to keep the surface clean. For items like your brass, we'd recommend applying a very thin film of polish directly to the metal, let it sit for a minute and then hit the area with a cloth or paper towel to get most of the black tarnish off. That way you can buff to a high shine with either a microfiber or the Dremel. As for the level of patina, as you saw, it was the extra buffing that really brought out the mirror finish. For a more satin finish, just don't buff as hard. Our polish is non-toxic, so the gloves are only necessary to keep that black oxidation off your hands. 😊 Seriously, thanks again for taking the time to review our polish. We really appreciate it!! - Jim

Hi Jim! Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a nice comment! Also love all the tips on how to correctly use Flitz. I will definitely be pinning your comment to the top of the comment section so everyone can read on how to apply Flitz and get the best results; either the more satin finish or the mirror finish. I'm still in awe of the magic that's in this tube. I'll definitely be using Flitz again to freshened up all the antique hardware I come across. Thanks for stopping by! ~Bethany

I've used this on copper...never with a dremel, just scrubbed with a cloth.

FYI: For some reason, this video will not play - your and other videos play just fine. Might just repost it? Thanks.

Working this morning! My only wonder about the Flitz would be the resulting patina / color tone of the hardware. I actually like the golden tones in the Barkeepers cleaning. I suppose it's a matter of taste.

@@philipatoz I hear ya! Not everyone is going for the super shine that this product creates. Just like people with their topcoat sheen preferences; glossy vs. satin. This is definitely a super gloss option with the Flitz vs. more of a satin finish you get with the Bar Keepers Friend.
