As a mexican I can tell you that Elote en Vaso is not how we eat it over here, and adding that you don't like corn, there was no way you would like it xD. Happy that you liked everything else!!
As a Mexican - I couldn't help but cringe at the quality of the first few stuff you ate, I'm sorry for your tatse buds lol. Its so cool to see people try your own food. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Your reaction are so fun
Honestly I think you are fine. Racist is only with malicious intent. And finding restaurant that serve authentic food is rather difficult when you are out of it's original country and usually they change the meals to be more pleasante for that ppl. In my opinion I'm fine with everything and the bottom line is the tortilla(I'm really picky about my tortillas) and it's awesome you are trying other foods it's always good to try new things.
I've had my few minutes of fame! For traumatizing Josh with Corn! As someone who has nearly met death many times just for this Corn dish it did hurt my soul to discover Josh doesn't like corn. Oh well One thing I might mention is that tacos with hard crispy shells are less authentic Mexican cuisine, and instead tends to be the soft shells. The hard shells I believe was an American creation but I don't know, I'm basing off my own knowledge of my culture. Glad you liked Mexican food there is a lot of flavor and veggies, and I would recommend trying nachos in a different place as the ones I typically had should've had meat and should've been corn chips not potato chips. (At least from my knowledge again) Maybe try some traditional English or Italian?
Thank you for trying our food!!!! We can understand that we are fair from where you live and the fact you still tried what you where about to get thank you josh 🇲🇽🇲🇾❤️
I have to suggest italian food. As fist plate I suggest the Carbonara (spaghetti with egg, sheep's chees and jowls), Pasta with pesto, pasta and beans (it's a soup). As a second i suggest baccalà alla Veneziana (=Venetian's sateld cod, it can be more like a sause or more like a stew), Liver with onion, skewers. As a dessert I suggest tirammisú, croccante (camaralize peanuts), rice cake and cannoli.
As a Hispanic person who loves to make pies: Whenever I make pies you have to first make the dough (I usually use butter Crisco, water, and pastry flour) then make your filling, and then add more dough at the top of filling, then bake it. With flour tortillas you make the dough (usually with lard, flour, baking powder, salt and water) then you cook them on the stove. Then you go in and you add the beans, meat, cheese, etc. With corn tortillas, you have to have a special kind of corn paste with a couple of other ingredients and you have to press them the cook them Hope this helped! (Also that first restaurant did not look like actual Mexican cuisine)
You should try Slavic food if you hate veggies. I mean If you have any Russian, Ukranian, Polish, Slovak, Croatian...etc. Restaurant. Lots of meat, lots of cheese and dumplings, pancakes and stuff made of potatoes. That's our cuisine
I honestly find it very entertaining watching a very picky eater trying new food, gives a very interesting perspective on food since most people making food content online are the kinds of people who could eat almost everything anyway
it may sound grooss but i like my "elote en vaso" (i dont even call it that lol) with mayo, butter, cheese, hot sauce and some lemon juice. oh and its served hot so everything mixes in. also the comment that said that mexican food its just vegetables, llike bruh almost every mexican dish has 3 basic things: tortilla, meat and salsa
The nacho chip is made with corn😂. And the taco wrap is called a "tortilla" which there is ones made either with corn or flour, I think you got a corn tortilla if it was yellow🤔. Corn is one of the main foods since the USA & Mexico is where corn grows🌽. I'm Mexican American, but I'm also a picker eater😂. I'm happy you liked some of the food🥰. Churros are the best😍, very glad you didn't dip them in the red sauce😅🤣.
I also don't like mixed vegetables 😂. My mum always made my family miked vegetable fried rice when I was a child and it took me a lot time for me to actually get used to it and not picking out those veggies 😅
The best soap opera is "Yo soy Betty la fea", which has been more spin-offs of any other soap operas ever. The original is from Colombia (I am from Brazil) and can tell you this is a classic even for todays age. The original is still the best version. Better than k-dramas😅
I'm Latinx but not from Mexico and I love the same dishes you did! What would I not do to get my my hands some cheese quesadilla, tacos al pastor, and churros! I think Mexican people will recommend soft shell tacos instead. The Mexican place by Mexican people I used to eat always served them like that and it was delicious 😋.
As a mexican Im gonna answer your questions! Nachos are made from tortas and are usually deep fried so that might also be whhy you dot like them, and don't worry also hate corn too; the difference between pie and quesadillas is the fact that most quesadillas have meat and veggie with cheese of course and most if not all pies don't have meat, and sometimes veggies. I don't know why J sounds like h lmao. When looking for Mexican restaurants suggest that you look for ones where most of the ppl speak Spanish the food will most likely be better.
That elote was horrible, how did they even mess it up. We literally only put creme fresce and cheese one it, with some tajin, there was lettuce, WHY! You where completely justified in hating. Also the quesadilla only looks like like a pie because of the way the cut it, a pie is a pastry with a crust, quesedillas are made with tortillas which aren't a pastry, they're a flat bread. As for the prounoucations, that double LL in spanish is prounced differently to L, if you see it in a word then you should pronounce it kinda like a y like tortilla. Also J is pronounced like H and H's are always silent. Interestingly I don't think the churro's you had were Mexican churros, Mexican Churros are cover and a Sugar and Cinnamon mixture and usually have a filling of cream or jam. I'm not super familiar with all the styles of churros in Hispanic countries but if I had to guess I'm pretty sure you had Spanish(From Spain) Churros, They're not coted for filled with anything and are dipped into a chocolate sauce like you did, think the Spanish actually eat them as a breakfast but I'm not actually sure if it true. All around as a Mexican I give this food a 5/10. You definitely couldn't have done better, everything you has around was kinda TexMex and pretty inauthentic, real Mexican food is kinda more different, but its definitely not easy for a picky eater. But I think most Mexican love a little TexMex too so even if it wasn't authentic it looked REALLY good and I'm jealous.
You should try nachos at home if you can its so easy just beans tortilla chips then melt cheese on top and chop up tomatoes with lime and have avacodoes its good glad you tried it tho because again not very many options :)
Try some Caribbean food if you can! We’ve got some good pastries (best are currant slices/ rolls made by Trinidad or Barbados), a lot of interesting fruits (there’s a little green fruit that has a different name depending on where you are. In Barbados it’s an ackee, but Jamaican ackees are an entirely different fruit), and yeah a lot of vegetables, but you’ll be able to find tons of good meat dishes! Our drinks are good, too! Just steer clear of mauby. It’s bitter
Please please PLEASE try Indian food pleeeeaaassseee You can try our really famous 1.Biriyani 2.Butter chicken with naan 3.Chole bhature 4.Chicken or mutton kasha 5.Dhosa with sambhar and chutney 6.Idly 7.Pav bhaji 8.Dahi vada I would also like to recommend some sweets: Rasgulla, gulab jamun, chamcham, rasmalai, sandesh. I hope you try these out, and also, really enjoy your videos!!(≧▽≦)
Nacho Libre is troublesome now??? aw man! but it’s such a classic, every fellow Mexican ik loved/liked it (not to mention how funny the Spanish dub is with all the Mexican slags it used) still one of my favorites tbh
I love that you try Mexican food Try tortas and posole and sopas next time Those are one of my favorite food to eat for comfort And for drinks try Aqua Fresca (it a sweeten fruit drink) and Horchata (a sweet milk drink) Hope you enjoy those one! 🧡✨🧡
thank you for trying Mexican food Josh. but you should definitely try the candy 🍬 it's not only sweet it can be spicy and sour also watch pero like on you vs me (youtube channel)it can help you understand more on Latino culture and I'd love to send you some traditional Mexican snacks and candy.
The food was triggering because it’s not right but I love you videos and I understand the struggle of living far so the food is not accurate I’m Mexican born raised usa 😅to be honest that was more American than Mexican food. I love traveling to Mexico but I’m made fun off by relatives by being a picky eater and sad that the Mexican food I eat in the usa is not real Mexican. (It’s not that triggering it’s just reminded me of my cousins teasing me and explaining how Mexican burgers have ham and the different between tortas gorgitas chanclas calzonciyos and how hard sell tacos are an American thing ) ( like bruh calm down I’m 7yrs ) ( this was when I was a kid I’m grown 25 lol still tho)
I'm a picky eater as well and I can understand not liking corn heck I don't really like a lot of foods either I don't like tomatoes despite loving ketchup I don't like green beans broccoli I hate sour cream and vinegar and I don't really like rice all that much I mean I like fried rice with my Chinese food but regular white rice taste like nothing to me
i grew up with cheese quesadillas being a favorite food and i used to ask my sister to make them for me all the time and one day i think she just got tired of me asking for it all the time and told me that nobody in mexico eats cheese quesadillas. so seeing a cheese quesadilla in this video, even though i know that this is a malaysian mexican restaurant so i imagine it's even less authentic than american mexican food, made me happy. now, actual mexican people, please tell me if cheese quesadillas are actually mexican food or just "mexican" food. i'm sorry. i'm a white boy from indiana, my knowledge is limited.

that luna of hope person.. something not right with that person... how can someone hate carne asada with rice n beans... i swear that dude eats mac n cheese with hotdogs daily
Simple Apple pie is like a meat pie but better than the meat pie 😊 but belive me meat pot pie taste like shit 😢 and the mexican quesadillas are better than just the cheese ones... well unless is a bacon 4 cheese quesadilla then is even better than the chicken one😊
As Mexican I’m kinda proud that you try to stuff I hope you enjoyed it
I agree. I am glad that you enjoyed some mexican food dishes. I am Hispanic as well.

It's because "double ll " pronounce as ya in Spanish language. So that's why quesadilla pronounce in that way
Italian food is my favorite, so please give that a try.
Yayy! I'm so glad you tried "Mexicano" food (HAHA) I'm from Venezuela 🇻🇪 but mexican food is so good
1:36 OMG YES. VENEZUELAN STUFF
Honestly, Mexican food one of the best, just by the flavor alone.
As a Mexican we normally eat "elote en vaso" with spicy powder lol
The nacho chip is made with corn😂. And the taco wrap is called a "tortilla" which there is ones made either with corn or flour, I think you got a corn tortilla if it was yellow🤔. Watching this in the middle of the night is torture. TORTURE. Now I am hungry. In a rural area. With no food delivery. Amen.
Still hungry? 👀
@@JelliesWorld I'll always be hungry 🥲 it's never ending.
In Spanish, you pronounce the j's like h's, ll has a y sound, and h's are not typically pronounced.

OH!!! I think I watched the US remake "Ugly Betty". My older sister was a huge fan of it so I watched along. Never watched the original one tho 👀
@@JelliesWorld the original is less juvenile and the comedy in it is nicer. The US version wasn't the best version in my opinion.
"But caramelized popcorn i like"

J's make the "h" sound
Double L's (ll) make the "y" sound
Thats true. And the “h” is always silent
