I was giving money for two kids at world vision for twenty years....I did this even while in poverty myself....in about 2020 or so I found out from the 'wokepreacherclips' twitter how they were training people to hate white men like the evilness of 'the white male gaze' and then saw other scandals come out that showed corruption and that the kid may not even get the money directly. I feel totally taken advantage of as I had felt I had 'vetted' the company. It makes me nervous to give money and I pray that God will make it right. I've found that Samaritan's Purse is good.....

GOV should never give money to Religious organizations and churches shouldn’t have tax exempt statuses. Both come with strings attached that can compromise these organizations in the future.
Well said. Why did USA government become the benefactor of those in need? Where have God’s children been that these agencies needed USA government resources? I believe what is happening is part of God’s judgment upon His people. Where have the dollars of His children been going for the last 50 years? Where is our focus? Prosperity or evangelism? Going on nice trips or giving a cup of water in Jesus’ Name? Buying new cars or being wise stewards so we can send more money to help those in need and send His Good News into all the world? Praying for Him to press in on those whose pockets have been deep for self-interests instead of His interests.

There lots of people on the red side of the aisle who are saying the US should eliminate foreign aid altogether; I am not among them. It's entirely appropriate, IMO, for the US government to spend money on foreign aid, *when doing so is believed to be in the interests of the US.* That's the sole mission of the US government: to take care of the interests of the US. Can individual believers support individuals or organizations in other countries? Of course! Once you've met your obligations (e.g., to your family and to your church), you're free to give your charity to whomever you wish. That's your choice, and that's as it should be. What shouldn't be your choice is to take my money at gunpoint and give it to whatever cause, however worthy it may be, you believe in.

bureaucracy seems to kill an organization's original vision and goals.
SBC = Saddleback Church? Southern Baptist Conference?
World Vision has been a mess since the board took it from Bob Pierce, its founder, in 1969. Bob Pierce also founded Samaritan's Purse.

In the NT the churches took up collections to help believers in other areas.
They are completely unaccountable. You have no idea how much money went to any project and how much was diverted to nefarious projects.
I will never give to World Vision again or any organization that has received funding thru USAID.

Government foreign aid is not in the enumerated powers of Article I Section 8. It is also unbiblical. Full stop.
